Arizona officially SUCKS.

I went Jean shopping today.

First I went to Hub and looked at AG Jeans, Paper Denim Cloth and Miss Sixty. Turns out that the lighter wash that I want won't be out to spring.

Then I headed to Neiman Marcus. All they have there are Blue Cult, Juicy, ABS, Sevens, and Citizens of Humanity. And every one of them (excepting a few ABS styles) are a dark wash. AND they said that I'd have to go to the store in Beverly Hills for Chip & Pepper jeans.

ARGH!!!!!! Why is it so hard to find the jeans I want?? I know Seven makes some lighter washes....but I want something new...and it has to be like 98% cotton, 2% lycra because I've got hips and the 100% cotton ones don't fit very comftorably!!

Looks like I'm going to have to bring 300 to LA for shopping!!!

Or maybe I'll head up to North Scottsdale....there's a store thats pretty hip and is filled with Juicy, Blue Cult, Citizens of Humanity, AG, Paper Denim Cloth, Miss Sixty, etc.....maybe they'll have something..

If you already know what fits, try www.shopbop.com

absolutuscchick 01-06-2004 09:47 PM

That's the problem....I know I can get stuff online but I'd like to try it before I shell out all of that money.

I'm a Gap girl when it comes to jeans. Old Navy has some good jeans also...same with Levi's

ladyj39 01-08-2004 03:54 AM

I bought some Joe's Jeans at a trunk sale and I LOVE them!! They fit so well and I love the wash. They look like these:

The best part of it all is that they only cost me $60, which is about 50% off the retail price! :D

I also love Lucky jeans.

THIS is exactly how i feel about my juicy suits!!! I don't care if they are out of style - although i don't wear them as a full track suit as much as I used to.

33girl 01-08-2004 12:44 PM

Maybe y'all can help me - is there a designer out there that makes jeans w/ no back pockets? I saw a pair last night but I didn't want to say to a random girl "hey, nice jeans, what kind are they?" They were just a little more flared than a bootcut.

absolutuscchick 01-08-2004 01:58 PM

What's a "trunk sale"?

I've seen them at Gap

I have some from Ralph Lauren somewhere in my closet.

MareImbrium 01-09-2004 04:23 AM

Ever since I bought my first pair of these GAP jeans they're the only ones I buy, although they're quite pricey. I wear the Modern Boot Cut jeans.

I saw a guy at the club tonight w/pants like that. Thought he did it himself. Maybe not.

The jeans make the model's ass look bad :(

lol this is DEFINITELY not my biggest problem. shopping is how I cope with my other problems.....but when there's a problem with the shopping then I get sad.

MeLikey 01-09-2004 10:30 PM

I counted and I have 5 pairs of jeans without back pockets, 3 are from Rampage, 1 from Guess, and 1 from Nordstrom.

juniorgrrl 01-10-2004 03:40 AM

I think GAP has totally resized all of their jeans in the length. I've been wearing a regular length since I was 14. All of a sudden, they're now 3 inches longer than they used to be. It's like, when they dropped the rise on the jeans, they didn't compensate for it in the length.

We're not talking long enough to wear heels and look cute long, these are so long that they are prohibitive of wearing shoes at all. WTF?

She doesn't really have an ass, and luckily I do! ;)
They look good on me and that's all that matters :p

absolutuscchick: A "Trunk Sale" is like a sample sale. The one I went to was put on by Planet Lulu It's mainly comprised of designer over-runs and department store over-buys. They are held in LA, NY, and SF, but if you sign up o nline, they will sometimes have exclusive sales over the website and they will send you the links via e-mail.

collegegrl 01-12-2004 03:08 AM

how about Earl jeans?

Glitter650 01-12-2004 03:53 AM

All the designer brand jeans are waaaaaayyyyy too long on me... since they don't usually make the different lengths like Gap and most of the other store brands... but I really like those sorority girl jeans... HATE BEING SHORT

ETA... I have a CHI hair straightener... I didn't buy it because it was trendy I bought it because it works better I LOOOVE it :D

Glitter650 01-12-2004 04:22 PM

Really you can alter jeans ???
all of my jeans are altered but sometimes it takes away from the flare of the leg and they don't look the same... plus it's really just a pain in the ass....

Unless you're like a foot or two shorter, that makes no sense. Just have original cuffs put in and it look the exact same.

Glitter650 01-13-2004 02:07 AM

I'm not going to argue about this because I'm pretty sure you're not 5'1 and a half and have never dealt with taking off 6 inches of fabric off of flared jeans...

There is a cool place my roommate discovered in Westlake. The guy does an awesome job and only charges $7-$10 a pair. She's 5' 1". I don't know the name, but it's sround the corner from Nation's by the little restaurant. Convenient and inexpensive! :)

How does a hair straightener go out of style? I have to say that was the best $125 I have invested in a hair product EVER.

Topic? I love gap jeans. Because I can go online and order the XL inseam if needed....that rocks my world.

AMEN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MeLikey 01-14-2004 06:44 AM

Haha, I read hair straighter which reminded me mine's plugged in, gotta go straighten my already straight hair but it helps!

absolutuscchick 01-28-2004 02:11 AM

Yea, so my local store is ordering me these jeans right now...but I'm not sure about the butt. I need some opinions, and as I have like three guy friends, none of whom particularly want to go shopping with me, I thought that I'd post on here for opinions.

Anyhow, I def have a butt, and I want jeans that will make it look nice, and I just don't know about these jeans...they look so amazing in front, but in back I'm just not sure!!!

Girl, I feel your pain.

I have a pair of American Eagle Jeans that i LOVE! They fit so well. THe problem is, they only make the style in one wash. I like my jeans to look different!

absolutuscchick 01-28-2004 09:09 PM

haha...I've decided at my best friend's advice, that these jeans are not particularly flattering. I'm not going to buy them. I'll have to check out some paper denim cloth jeans that i saw online....they look way cute...hopefully they'll fit allright. Otherwise, I may just get 7s or more citizens of humanity...

The_Nash 01-28-2004 10:59 PM

those dont look to good on that girls butt, they look to come up to high
