All "bump" means is someone is replying to a thread to "bump" it to the top of the forum list...so more people read it or to encourage more comments.

That's an easy one :) If you've got other questions, just ask away!

Roses,
Christin

Welcome, AOIISilver. I love that name! I am recently back in town and haven't had an opportunity to join the alumnae group yet. I am planning to do so this fall. It sounds like you are a member of the group here. If so, I will have to get more info from you.

I just recently found this site when I was surfing the web, and I just keep coming back to it.

Welcome!!!

Hi, Rubyrose & Sarah!

Hi, Rubyrose! Welcome to Nashville! Thanks so much for the compliment on my user name. I am an Alum Initiate of Nu Omicron and am currently serving as the Nashville Area Alum Chapter Historian.
WE WOULD LOVE FOR YOU TO JOIN US AT ANY OF THE NASHVILLE AREA ALUM CHAPTER FUNCTIONS!!! :D
The women in the chapter are awesome, and we have SO much fun together. Our philanthrophy projects are successful, too! There is a picture of some of the chapter members with their families in the latest To Dragma at one of our philanthrophy projects, the Arthritis Zoo Walk. Do you need any contact information? How can I best get the information to you?

Speaking of which...and this MUST be a stupid question...how does one PM (I assume this means private message.) another registered GC'er?

Sarah, SO glad to hear about the alum chapter up there. I am also glad that you have found a nice job and are happy! Congrats on the house!
Indeed, I am so happy that you liked your rose! I think that my husband is pretty awesome.;)

Many roses and rubies to you all,
AOII silver

rubyrose 09-05-2002 06:47 PM

AOIIsilver,

I tried to pm you, but it tells me that you do not have private messaging available. I believe you have to go to User CP at the top of the screen and select edit options. In there is a place to select "yes" for enabling pm capabilities. Please reply back to this post and I will try out this whole pm thing which is new to me too!

Thanks,

rubyrose

Rubyrose,
I tried to change my user file and to send a PM to you. Was I successful?
Good grief! Sometimes I feel like a technological underachiever! ;) AOIIsilver

AOIIsilver,

Yes you were successful! :D I pm'd you back.

Thanks!

Colony Development Network Specialist - Pi Theta
Collegiate Network Specialist - Gamma Delta and Lamba Sigma - 2000 - 2001 and Gamma Theta for a bit in 2001
Collegiate Recruitment Network Specialist - chapters from arkansas to texas to florida - 1999 - 2000
PR, Philanthropic, Panhellenic and various others adviser for Gamma Omicron 1998

Tampa Alumnae - Panhellenic delegate and VP

I thought i had just produced one legacy - my daughter Isabella Rose - until i read the earlier post about producing a legacy through my mother - which cracked me up = but count me in - my mother was initiated Dec 1, 2003 at Gamma Theta - Univ. of South Florida -

my sister is an AOII from UF also and my grandmother was and AOII initiated at Alpha Pi chapter - Florida State University

whew - that's alot of typing.... but i love the opportunity AOII has given me to meet AOII's from lots of other chapters.

brandi - did you know joanna crewes and/or michelle finley!?? -

OleMissGlitter 12-16-2003 07:12 PM

Michelle ---she visited Nu Beta when I was a collegiate, I love her! She always made me smile!

nhpgator 12-16-2003 07:19 PM

she still makes me smile every day via email - there are a bunch of us young NS's - we all met a while back at i think an LI in like 99 or something and have been fast friends ever since - she actually works for phi mu in Atlanta!!

Yes, actually I know both of them. Michelle and I were friendlier than Joanna and I since my roommate is the one that brought Michelle to COB (I'm pretty sure). Joanna was older than me, but best friends with the girl who preffed me. Also, Michelle took over VPE from me. My last meeting was elections, she did such a good job as VPE and also everything she has done since. I am so proud of her.

If anyone talks to Michelle tell her I said Hi, and to get on Greek Chat. I would love to get back in touch with her since I am moving to Atlanta :)

Whew long post just to answer your question :o

It is so funny that y'all have mentioned Michelle Finley. She is an awesome AOII!!! She is the CNS for the chapter I advise and we think she is the greatest ever!!! :) Just thought I'd add to the crew on GC that know her!

Sarah

AOTTAdvisor 12-17-2003 03:30 PM

Natasha--do you know Jill Soost? She was an AOTT CC and then an NS, I think. And she went to UF. She is now an advisor with me for Gamma Sigma and I just LOVE her!!

nhpgator 12-18-2003 09:31 AM

yep - know jill soost VERY well - she was in my rush group when i was on Rush Exec - it was kinda a funny situation - we all wanted her to go to our chapters (our rho chi group was adpi, kd and alpha zi and me) well everytime she had a question on who to cut (i don't think she ever got dropped by a chapter so she always had to drop chapters) anyway she always came to me for advice - and aoii was always one she was keeping and i felt a little guilty not wanting to influence her decision - but wanting her to be an AOII really badly - well you know the end of that part of the story - she chose AOII and we became fast friends - she and i were both the rubie A's for our pledge classes (our ruby A is given for outstanding pledge) we just really had a wonderful time together in college and since - in fact i just opened her christmas card yesterday - she was also the resident cc at pi theta and i did the expansion at pi theta so we got to share that as well - she is a great girl!! i miss her tons!!

she is one of our cns group (including finley and crews and such) that email regularly!! we keep each other sane!! i'll let her know how much she is appreciated!!

tasha
