Carbs taste sooooooooo good, period. I've been on the Atkins Diet for 2 months (lost 22 pounds so far) and I really, really miss them.

vodkas

Vodka is definitely the drink of choice. and there are so many cool flavors. Danzka currant chilled is my fav for the winter time. It takes the edge off the vodka and does not have an aftertaste.

(to sum it up the three ingredients are Vanilla Twist Vodka, Bailey's Irish Cream, and Godiva Chocolate Liqueur)

A good sight to look up most cocktails would be http://www.fridays.com/mixology.html

You can look it up by drink type, liquors in the drink, or by name.
No chocolate martini though...

Thanks!

mmm... you should try the grapefruit vodka with grapefruit juice. I made a bunch at a party this weekend and they were great. The grapefruit juice is awesome when counteracting the alcohol flavor of the vodka. Although after a few it hardly matters anyway, doesn't it?

beer

(boulevard wheat, magic hat #9, mackeson's stout, grant's perfect porter, left hand sawtooth ale, whitbread pale ale, summit extra pale, samuel smith's taddy porter, and rogue shakespeare stout)

Also, the best Winter Ales (if you enjoy seasonal beers) are by Boulevard and Sam Smith . . . esp the Smith, it's retarded

Just about anything by Sam Smith is great - just one hell of a beer.

As for me - beer and whiskey are my favorites, I'm getting more into scotch lately. Usually though a Newcastle, Hooker Ale (Connecticut brand), Long Trail Ale (especially Double Bag or Pollenator) or a Harpoon UFO will do me just fine.

Jaggergirl 12-09-2003 03:14 PM

KSig RC -- where do you get your Boulevards? I haven't been ablet to find them outside of Kansas City and Boulevard Wheats are one of my favorite beers. Second only to Hoegaarden.

I'm meeting friends for dinner tonight and definitely looking forward to getting a nice pre dinner cocktail. Probably a cosmo or gimlet -- I'm feeling sassy. Hopefully this place has the Danzka vodka that I like.
