Thanks, breathesgelatin, you are right... we are talking about stranger rape. Date rape or acquaintance rape is actually much more common, and much harder to guard against, besides really knowing and trusting men that you spend time with - and even that isn't always enough.

Someone, I think it was Sororitygirl2, made a good point when she mentioned that in different eras, people had different ways of dressing provocatively. When I was the age most of you are now, no one would have dreamed of wearing hip hugger jeans especially with a cropped top. Believe it or not, Madonna got A LOT of press for showing her bellybutton!!!

But we did wear teeny, tiny little dresses and shirts that there was no way you could bend over in. I remember one of my friends in another sorority had an article of clothing we fondly referred to as her "Oops, is that my vagina?" skirt.

A couple of years ago, teenage girls were all wearing spaghetti strap t's with their bra straps sticking out, but thankfully that seems to have passed.

KR is right - I wore some very teeny miniskirts in my day. However, if I did, I damn sure was covered up on top. Same if I wore a skimpy top - I wore jeans with it. When you wear the looooow waisted jeans and the tube top that stops directly under your boobs, that's just sleazy looking.

Yeah, they can be pretty skanky. At least the ultra low rise ones are. If it's nasty see plumber crack, then it's nasty to see everyone else's, too. I've heard many guys make fun of girls at bars with those low, low rise jeans and their thongs.

I can't believe that you guys forgot the two cardinal rules of wearing lowrise pants:

1) Make sure your undies are low rise as well (I'm fond of the vickie's secret low rise bikinis myself). There's nothing worse than granny panties peeking up over the waistline!

2) If you have back fat/love handles: Please step away from the low rise pants and put your hands up! I was getting takeout last week and the chick that got my order reached up to the window and then came back down and she had a good 2 lbs of backfat lopped over the back of her pants. It was enough to spoil my appetite. Gag! Lowrise pants are hot, but only if you have the body for them. Sorry!

i will take this one step further and say fat people should not go out in public unless they are on their way to the gym.

you can go to YMCA and get membership for 25 a month if you're a student. it's an excellent place to play basketball.

i'm not a student and i prefer the boston sports club, where i go now, to the ymca.

$25 a month is reasonable and there's NWIH I'd pay $75 freaking dollars for a brand name gym especially if the Y's got the same isht. That's why I spit on places like that and 24 Hour Fitness.

That's like, $50 more I could spend on beer or something.

i pay it b/c it's right across the street from my apt, plus of the few around me that i looked at, it was the cheapest.. i guess i just like the convenience of it.. plus i can see it while sitting on my couch, so it makes me feel guilty and i go!

i love the Y. one of the reasons i chose it was because there is always 5-5 basketball from 6-9. it can get really competitive. i love it.

the equipment is real nice too. i dont work out cuz that is boring and i have no dreams of becoming buff.

But sadly, we both use to share similar "habits".

I work out because of the beer. Hooray for beer for being the best motivation to get my ass to the gym.

yeah, the other cast members said that her drinking wasn't as prevalent as the show made it seem.
