My opinion though. The Sigma Nu's were always fun.....like I said before, SAE's didn't really do stuff with us.

Hey this is off topic, but texas*princess and txsurfinwaves - what do the UNT sororities think about the TWU sororities? I always got the feeling that y'all didn't like us too much

That's really neat, because I never knew TWU sororities mixed with UNT fraternities :)

I don't think there is any annimosity towards TWU sororities? I've never heard of any anyway. I personally think it's kind of neat to have more sororities of the panhellenic family close by :)

I've met a few TWU students and they sort of snubbed me after they learned I was greek... Is TWU like that about their own greeks?

TWU is about as anti-greek as you can get. Actually, they are anti NPC greek as the NPHC sororities seem to have more luck than we do with public relations.

Thats funny that you didn't know we mixed with y'all's fraternities. I mean, I'm not sure who Tri Sig did things with, but I do know that AOPi mainly did things with the Sig Eps and then the AGDs just kind of did events with everyone :) There was/is alot of animosity between AOPi and AGD - I'm not sure when it started.

I always got the feeling from the UNT girls that I met who were greek that they thought we didn't belong or something. I'm not going to name their GLO, but I'll say it was Pi Phi or ADPi :D I know when I was there we were trying to come up with a way to get UNT sororities and our girls together for a party, but I forget why it didn't come about? I wish it had!

SigEp and AOPi have always had good relations and have many things together in the past. I also have seen that idea that the TWU Sororities were treated as an outcast group. When I joined SigEp in the Fall of 99, we always partied with AOPi, we had a mixer with them, we did homecoming with them one year, and many of my brothers started good relationships with these women. We have had mixer or two with AGD in the past, but recently we have tried to focus more on our own Sororities on campus. We have two mixers schedule for this semester with XOmega and APhi. I also know that once we get our new house it will be easier for the SigEps to be more visible on campus.

i knew that TWU sororites and UNT fraternitites mixed- just because my delta sig guy was telling me that they went out with AOPi last night and have a mixer with as he put it, some sorority with Delta in it....(figures. boys dont pay attention) and we were talking about how cool it was that they were mixing with the TWU sororities. Ive never gotten the chance to meet any TWU greeks, im always so busy with school or Pi Phi...I wish we would do a mixer with a TWU sorority- that would be cool.

Mike- I agree with the fact that once ya'll get a house, Sig Ep will be more visible on campus.

i never knew there was animosity either.....but i can see how it might happen, given that the campus's are so close...

Ohh Crap

As a former Delta Sig at UNT I would have to say I'm a litte shocked at what happend. SAE had just started to become a really great bunch of guys when I left and had just got their house, it was small but many good memories. Sad to hear about another "GREEK INCIDENT", I thought the KA thing would be the last of it. The school is very anti-greek especially the paper and admin. The Greek councils are very strong on campus and that is why they continue to thrive so much.

That's so true. The President of our SGA is so awesome and a Sigma Chi. Earlier this semester he encouraged greeks to run for the SGA senate and many of the greeks in the running won spots in the SGA. (<< thanks to the greek voting block I'm sure ;) ) I definitely feel this will help get the greek voice out there.
