For me it would be pretty obvious that I am no longer an active as I am now the advisor, and everyone knows me as such.

:) Yeah, then it would be a-ok. I'm only 20 so I would feel kind of weird wearing an alumna shirt. I like wearing my letters to class occasionally though - it strikes up conversations with Greeks from this campus.

I just graduated in May, and I just wore my letters sweatshirt the other day. I was actually considering getting another one-- gray, I have one in black right now that I got 2 years ago. I wear my party and bid day shirts ALL THE TIME. I love them, I only wish I didn't cut up some of my Homecoming and Greek t-shirts (at the bottom), at the time it seemed like a good idea because they were too big. I still need to buy a plain polo shirt so my mom can embroider my letters on the upper left side. I'm going to be working on a movie set starting tomorrow, and I'll probably be outside most of the time for the next month. I want to find a hat that I can wear with my letter embroidered on them, how cute would that be?! Anyone have one or know of a place I can order that?

I wear mine all the time.............

Bad for the ego though (just like no longer getting carded for alcohol) since no one has ever mistaken me for a collegian.

The question is, now that I have graduated, would I look like a total tool for buying and wearing this sweatshirt?
Hi, my name is jh124, and I'm a total tool;) . I graduated in 1995 and have two sweatshirts and one t-shirt with letters on them. I mostly wear them around the house, sometimes to the grocery store or dogpark. Sometimes I'm a little self concious, but I live 3,000 miles away from my chapter. My letters have actually been an ice breaker a time or two. I've met sisters that have asked which chapter I was affiliated with, or people who had a relative that was in ADPi.

I think if it's something you want, go for it. The worst would be the regret of wanting something and never having it. Of course, I'm 31 and married and don't really care too much anymore...:o

I still wear letters on occasion, and I graduated more than a decade ago! I even have bought new letters at our local store, because so many of my old ones have mysteriously...um.. shrunk, over the years! Since I'm the Greek Advisor they give me a discount even!

I asked this in the Alumnae Involvment Forum, but under different circumstances! I'm pregnant...very pregnant by now, and wondered about the appropriateness! Now, I'm just like "As long as I can fit in it, I'm gonna keep wearing it!" I've got two shirts that are big and comfy!

On a side note, I remember one of our advisors while I was a collegian in 1999. She was wearing one of her old shirts at a Recruitment committee meeting. It had some phrase on it and 1985! I thought that was SO cool that she'd held on to it for so long!
