This topic just reinforces why I don't do fast food! Especially McDonald's! I'd rather eat Wendy's or Taco Bell! and when I order Chineese I always order shrimp-because one time I swear I ate some chicken but I think it was not! and this week this same Chineese restauraunt threw some food at this Black lady at the restauraunt. I remember they use to say Kentucky Fried Rat!,their chicken is not too tasteful either!

Woman Finds Finger in Wendy's Chili

Woman claims to find finger in eatery's chili By Sandra Gonzales Mercury News A woman eating chili Tuesday at a Wendy's restaurant in San Jose may have gotten an extra ingredient she didn't order -- a human finger. She was at the Wendy's at 1405 Monterey Highway about 7:30 p.m. when she saw what appeared to be a finger in her chili, according to San Jose police officer Enrique Garcia. Devina Cordero, 20, was with her boyfriend at the fast food restaurant when she said the woman, who has not been identified, began gasping and ran up to her saying: ``Don't eat it! Look, there's a human finger in our chili.'' Cordero said the object appeared cooked and seemed to have a long fingernail at the end. All three people soon became sick. ``We went up to the counter and they told us it was a vegetable,'' Cordero said. ``The people from Wendy's were poking it with a spoon.'' Garcia said the Santa Clara County Health Department is taking over the investigation. ``It was some sort of small mass which appeared to have a fingernail. It's a small piece,'' Garcia said. ``They collected the finger and placed it in a freezer for the health department.'' Wendy's spokesman Joe Desmond called the incident an ``unsubstantiated claim.'' ``Food safety is of utmost importance to us,'' he said in a statement. ``We are cooperating fully with the local police and health departments with their investigation. It's important not to jump to conclusions. Here at Wendy's we plan to do right by our customers and our community.'' The restaurant closed shortly after the incident but re-opened later Tuesday night, said Bill Irving, director of operations for Wendy's. Asked whether the restaurant was still selling chili, Irving said they had run out of it that evening but planned to continue selling it today. |
