Can I nuke the sausage patties? They don't turn into rubber?

I've nuked them and they were fine. Gotta make sure you don't leave them in there too long, though, or the edges will be rubber.

I am hooked on Boca now. I had the burgers and chik'n patties and literally could not tell the difference between those and the real thing. I bought the smoked sausages for lunch tomorrow and I also bought the ground beef substitute. I am going to slip that into some spaghetti this week. Boyfriend won't eat it if he knows that it's not real meat. Has anyone tried the ground burger before?

Why is that??? I've been trying to get Mr Toocute to try ground turkey for the loooongest time. He won't do it. I'll make Hamburger helper with the turkey and say how good it smells etc...get ready to take bite and ask "is this beef?" I want to lie but I got yelled at when I lied and told him some frozen yogurt was ice cream:rolleyes: He couldn't tell!!! So frustrating. Beef clogs the colon. Stays in there way too long.

See, I don't even let ClassyBoyfriend know that I buy healthier foods. I take the Boca burgers and sausages out of the boxes and put them right in the freezer. With the ground turkey, I think that he can tell because it's lighter than beef. That's why I bought the Boca beef.

I don't know why it's so hard to get men to make healthier food choices. Sometimes you just have to force them.

I've been using the Boca ground meat for years. It's good in spaghetti, but excellent in something highly spiced like chili or sloppy joes. You won't know the difference unless you're looking for it.

Be careful not to overcook it, or it gets rubbery. Just heat it through in the sauce that's already finished and you're good to go.

I have Boca Burgers in my freezer right now. I haven't tired one yet because my boyfriend had one and said it was nasty. But He don't like nothing anyway. Maybe I will fix one for dinner tonight!

I tried Boca for the first time tonight..and was very pleased! Thanks for the heads up ladies!
