a childhood friend of mine is rushing at Butler University in Indiana. Our mothers were Thetas together at Butler.

The University of Akron (Ohio) spring recruitment starts January 22nd....they will be having a forum...and on January 26th there will be a progressive dinner. Go Greek!

i am going through cob with delta gamma on feb. 4-7. i am just going to go through recruitment with them. it is just a choice i made. it is nothing personal, so dont anyone come and beat me over the head please. :p

Wake Forest has their formal recruitment in January... I'd LOVE to see a PNM from there posting :)

I'm excited and can't wait to hear about SouthernSweetie's recruitment at UCA!!! That's only 45 minutes away from me!!! I've never seen their recruitment first hand, but from what I know they still lean toward's the "frilly" side (although not as much as in times past).

My name is Katie and I am a soph. from Alabama. I really want to rush in the spring, but b/c Bama had so many girls rush in the fall, I do not think any houses will participate in rush. Any suggestions?

Katie, you should contact Panhellenic. Several houses did not make quota during fall rush, and most houses lose at least a few girls at semester due to graduation/transferring. If you contact Panhellenic, they can let you know who has open spots, and also get your name to those houses! Also, you could try emailing the Rush Chair/Membership VP of the sororities that have websites that list them, and let them know you're interested.

GeekyPenguin: Actually, most houses at Alabama made quota this fall, either through formal rush or snap bidding. But I'm sure that there are several who will participate in spring rush due to graduation, etc.

Spring rush at UA is much more relaxed than formal rush. It is a great way to become involved with a sorority! Even though my own chapter will not be able to take part this year, many quality members are gained for participating chapters through spring rush.

:( SFA10 will not be rushing in the spring. She decided she did not want to return to SFA, she decided to come home and go to community college in the spring then transfer somewhere else next fall. I do hope she tries again when she gets to her new school. I am sad that she felt so out of place at SFA.

I'm a freshman at the University of Richmond and will be rushing this spring (starting Monday, January 12th).

Indiana University is having recruitment this week. (they had 19 party in Nov and the rest this week) I wish there was an IU PNM or member on who could give the scoop! :D

There's a new KKG at SMU!

Elon University's recruitment is Jan. 28-Feb.2. Rumor has it that quota could be 60... which is a lot because last year it was 47! Elon is trying to become more "no-frills" which I think is sad. I love "frilly" recruitment!

I just talked to my friend who goes to The University of Toledo and she just signed a bid to ALPHA XI DELTA. She had been talking about going through recruitment for a while now but now I am so glad that she did it!!

Well, they aren't rushing, but I had to note how excited I am that two of my best guy friends are now part of the 40+ "new member"/"founding fathers" class of Sigma Phi Epsilon at UC Riverside! They are just beginning to colonize on campus, making them the 9th fraternity (we recently lost a few), and I couldn't be happier for them! :)
