ASUADPi 09-26-2003 06:58 PM

just to double check. November 1st 12 or 12:30 at PF Changs. Right? Do we know a specific time yet?

Also, I was thinking, this might sound kind of dumb, but we might want to wear our letters, it would be an easier way for us to spot each other out.

There's a lot of alumnae chapters active in Phoenix even though they don't have a chapter in Arizona--call Panhell and let them know. Sounds like fun.

Ok, but as of now I ahve only one shirt so do yall mind if I dont wear? I'll try to make sure I get more stuff (we do have a date party coming up) but I'm not yet positive!!

absolutuscchick 09-28-2003 11:47 AM

12 works for me or twelve thirrty whatever is easiest for everyone else

ASUADPi 09-28-2003 12:16 PM

I'm good both times.

Rachel, it's all good. If a few of us wear our letters, the rest I'm sure will be able to spot the group. Plus, PF Changs doesn't seat until the entire group is there and they have a kind of small waiting area (to be seated).

I considered getting involved when KD was colonizing, but then I decided to transfer to ASU West and didn't think I'd have time for everything. It sounds like a great group. What sort of numbers do you women have there?

And DZ is coming on-board too?!? Wow.

I thought I heard something about ZTA drumming up an interest group, but that was only once.

Glad to see greek life at ASU blossoming again. I wish I had been able to get more involved with it when I was on main campus.

I know this is a thread about making plans to meet (and I'd be on board if I had been on here longer, but I just joined last week!), but I just wanted to let you know that SAEPi is now an official at ASU. They were recently initiated as the Alpha chapter of SAEPi.

ASUADPi 09-29-2003 10:19 AM

Sigmajovi,
You should still join us.

A girl in my PHY101 class is a SAEPi. She was wearing a so cute shirt.

Congratulations on the starting of the chapter.

Again, you should still join us November 1st 12-12:30 at PF Changs.

Yah, we've got some cute shirts.
And thanks for the invite! As long as I have nothing planned (which I'm pretty sure I don't), I'll be there!

SigmaJovi 10-02-2003 11:23 AM

Since I haven't posted here long and don't know anyone, maybe we could introduce ourselves before we all meet? You guys can PM or email me if you don't want to post it all on here. I'll start, since it's my bright idea. :)

Although SigmaJovi is what I consider to be one of my cutest screen names (hehe), my name is Farrah. Sigma=Sigma AEPi, which I was originally supposed to be a charter member in, but am now a pledge. Jovi=Bon Jovi. I go to ASU, Journalism major, 4th year (pledging late, I know....), and I'm still not used to this whole Greek life thing (I was anti-Greek my whole life, having gone through rush twice at two different schools before finally becoming a pledge the third time). I am keeping an open mind however, and hopefully after this weekend (a Sigma-filled weekend as I call it), I will be used to it a little more!

I think that's about it! I'm always up for answering questions, too.

ASUADPi 10-02-2003 11:52 AM

Farrah,
What a wonderful idea.

My name is Brianna. I was initiated at the University of Arizona in the spring of 98. I left the university after the semester and went to community college, I finally transferred to ASU in the spring of 2000. I recently graduated with a BA History in December 2002. I am actually at ASU this semester, I was going to get a BS Biology, but now I have decided against it. I am instead going to start my teaching certification through Rio Salado during winter break.

As for my 'greekness', I went alumna instead of affiliating. As I mentioned I went through spring rush. What is funny was the fact that when I went to U of A I had every intention of rushing, but I intended to rush Chi-O because one of my close friends is one. I went to ADPi with a girl I had met at the informal rush meeting and I never left. It was the best decision I have ever made. I love my sisters and I love my sorority.

Brianna

absolutuscchick 10-02-2003 03:27 PM

My name is Rachel and I am a transfer student from USC. I was a member of ALpha Gamma Gamma, a local jewish sorority at SC. I transferred to ASU in the fall of 2003 after almost two years involved in AGG (I took off last semester towards the end due to medical problems). I got to ASU, rushed, and am currently a pledge of Kappa Delta.

SigmaJovi 10-03-2003 02:28 AM

Rachel, is there a girl named Jennie Greenband in KD? I'm pretty sure that's what sorority she's in.

Yup she is and she's AWESOME!!!!

Shine 10-06-2003 03:15 PM

I can't wait to meet all of you women! You sound great.

Maybe I'll get inspired to try out some of the great new houses and see about going greek for real this time!

It seems like we've got a lot of reps from a lot of sororities on the ASU campus. When we're at lunch we should totally talk about getting all of our groups together for some huge party or dinner or movie night or formal or something. Wouldn't that be something..like 500 girls in a room? Now that's "sincere sisterhood"!! I know that our sister sorority is Pi Phi and we do stuff with them, but I think it'd be cool to get everyone together. Just a thought from a mere little pledge! :)

Brianna

SigmaJovi 10-16-2003 12:04 PM

Hey everyone. Well, ok, I just depledged SAEPi, so I'm not Greek anymore. I don't think I'm gonna go to the lunch anymore either. I'm gonna get rid of my GC membership too, so if you want to get a hold of me ...

e-mail: fkaye@cox.net or AIM at ASUFairuh

It was nice to get to know a little bit about you for the 4 weeks I was on GC though. Good luck everyone!

ASUADPi 10-27-2003 12:39 AM

bumping the thread to find out if A) we are still meeting on Saturday because I for one would love to meet y'all and B) to maybe get more AZ residents interested.

Rachel, I'm so happy to hear that you decided to join KD. I'm so happy for you. Congratulations.

Brianna

absolutuscchick 10-30-2003 01:47 PM

Ok Everyone! We're meeting this saturday at 12noon at PF Changs. Right now I have down ASUAdpi, Shine, and SigmaJovi. Anyone else want to come?? Please PM me or post!!

ASUADPi 10-30-2003 03:39 PM

just a quick suggestion to people, try parking in the structure behind the theater. elsewhere might be kind of packed due to the football game and parade that day.
I'm looking foward to meeting you all saturday at noon at pf changs

Brianna

SigmaJovi 11-01-2003 04:14 AM

I'm not gonna be able to make it anymore. I just got hired on as an advisor for a youth group and I have to get ready for my first meeting on Sunday, and I also have to write up an article for a major newspaper and it has to be PERFECT so it will take a few hours. I just need all the time I can get. However, count me in next time!

Be careful down there...tomorrow is gonna be NUTS!!!

absolutuscchick 11-01-2003 05:37 PM

Thank you to Brianna for showing up at the Arizona GC Gathering. We had a nice lunch at PF Changs and wish that more girls had shown up!! Be on the lookout for another gathering this spring, hopefully with better attendance!!

CatStarESP4 11-02-2003 01:58 PM

I am sorry I couldn't make it this time around (it's a long story).

http://smilies.networkessence.net/s/...edoom/sad2.gif

I hope to make to the next one though!!!
