HC I'm here in my classroom on GC while my students are working on their computer assignment.
HC one of my students was dumped by her boyfriend the other day. HC I let them bring in CD's a listen to music while they work on the computers. HC this child brought in her "boys are stupid mix cd". HC we're listening to I Will Survive right now. HC this child is like heartbroken. HC that's why 15 year olds have no business having a boyfriend. HC on another note, today is my wedding anniversary. HC for the first time in our 7 years, my husband actually planned ahead and had my gift for me when I woke up this morning. HC he gave me a diamond heart pendant. HC it's nice. HC I was reading a relaxed hair care board
HC all these women were talking about how they neeeeever used heat on their hair and it looks soooooo nice HC I flat out don't believe them. HC if they have normal hair relaxed with a regular lye relaxer then heat when styling is kinda par for the course HC either they are using heat AT LEAST twice a week or they are looking TO' UP HC yes, wearing a bun to work EVERY DAMN DAY counts as to' up HC for the VERY FEW who actually don't use heat, they must spend like ten hours per week doing their hair HC I want to know who has time to do all of that? HC I have no such patience! HC lies lies lies |

HC I just had to vent on that one;) HC I had a short afro when I was young HC I looked like a boy HC that was the end of short hair for me, even if now no one would ever mistake me for a boy HC allsmiles you are proving me right on the "time investment" angle HC that is far more time than I ever want to spend on my hair! HC I don't really have this problem because I use a no-lye relaxer now and it makes my hair wavy/curly instead of pin straight HC I remember my lye relaxer days VIVIDLY though and they involved a lot of heat! SHORT hair history: HC I used to blowdry it and curl it once or twice a week HC I was not down with wrapping my hair- it makes it look like you only have one layer of hair when taken out - unless you curl the ends HC when I wrapped my hair it didn't have any bounce or life to it! HC then I put in braids and that TOTALLY SPOILED me HC I had braids for two years (getting them redone every three months) HC my hair when I took the braids out was longer than it had ever been HC when I took the braids out I tried a no-lye relaxer and found out that it doesn't totally straighten all that hair! Let it air dry and you had a big ball of frizz! Comb it when it was dry and guess what! a big ball of frizz! oops!:eek: HC talk about a blessing in disguise! HC in the mornings I wet it, put some frizz ease on, spray it with "dream curls" and I'm out HC 5 minutes TOPS HC I blow dry and flat iron it straight about once a month with frizz ease blow dry serum though HC that requires blowdryer, flat iron AND curling iron, which I hate! HC I might pick up a hood dryer and some curlers and try to dry it with cold air and rollers.... HC like I said, WAY more time than I want to spend, but the health of my hair is toooo important at this stage. I am not trying to undo all that growth I got through braids! HC if that works out then I might straighten it more often, but right now curly works :cool: Quote:

HC these kids around here are soooo fast! HC they make me realise how sheltered I was HC being sheltered is no bad thing (to a degree)! HC the 8th graders went on a trip today HC the school's decibel level is down about 90%! HC :D HC but they took my favorite teacher with them:( HC he made me think in HC's when I saw him this morning, they went something like this "HC Cutie Mac shaved his beard?
