Yes. Twice.

I haven't seen a car with fraternity and sorority letters in a long time.

Any of you undergrads or recent alums do those things anymore?

At USC, undergrads do do pinnings. I remember atleast three or four last semester at SC...its very cute!!

My left back window has AGD letters & amorial bearings (crest) and on the other side WEST GEORGIA sticker. As I've stated more than once on GC, my license plate is AGDSQL:)

And hubby loves to drive my car!:D

i saw an alpha gamma delta window sticker on a girl's car yesterday. it was so exciting cause i have never seen an agd sticker before.

personalized plate

My state of Michigan plate is an Eastern Michigan plate and says "AGDEE". I also have a bumper sticker!

I was at Adelphi (sorority compound at ASU) last night and on my way in I saw cars with AXO, Pi Phi, Alpha Phi, Kappa Delta. I forget what other cars were there!!

TriDeltaGal 09-07-2003 03:02 AM

Carnation,
Ahh you lucked out with the alum sticker ...I wish Tridelt National get on the ball and would make similar stickers but I haven't checked DeltaShop in a while...

Sorry off topic but...

DeltAlum,
At UCLA, pinnings are huge... I had never even heard of lavaliering until GC. My sophomore year my sorority had a wopping SEVEN in one year and my junior we had five and three of those were with the same fraternity. Usually most houses range from having one to three a year, so don't worry as absolutuscchick pointed out it seems that pinnings are alive and well in southern California.

DeltAlum 09-07-2003 10:24 PM

In Ohio in the 60's, lavaliering was sort of like "going steady," except at the college level. Pinning was more serious -- next thing to being engaged.

Optimist Prime 09-07-2003 11:20 PM

No one does pinnings here. Even Greek Week is really weak. It's bad here.

I see them on NPHC couples' cars all the time.

I will put my letters in my car after formal recruitment. I can not wait.

ADPi~Ally 09-09-2003 06:00 PM

yep i have a sticker, its so cute, it has a hibicus flower attached to an oval. Inside the oval is has the greek letters then Alpha Delta Pi underdeath it. I had it made at a sticker shop. :)

steelepike 09-09-2003 06:05 PM

i have no car right now but as soon as i have a car they should.

MTSUGURL 09-09-2003 11:11 PM

I do now! :D I bought white letters (my only choice) for my car today and put them on immediately. I want a license plate, but it wasn't in the budget this week.

What a good idea...

AOX81 09-10-2003 06:55 AM

I don't right now because no stickers are going on the Corvette and the Tracker is a convertible that is dirty most of the time so you wouldn't be able to see it anyway. :(

ADPiSAI 09-11-2003 01:00 AM

yes! I finally got my Alpha Delta Pi window sticker after not being able to find one for a really long time!
it matches my car perfectly too ;)

KuThetaChi 09-11-2003 08:34 AM

I have the plain jane white letters for QC on the top of my back windshield... since my windows are tinted I think it looks really good, plus I have a sports car so I don't want it to look tacky!

MysticCat 09-11-2003 01:07 PM

I have the letters on window decal. I need to order an "Alumnus -- Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia" license plate frame.

Ginger 09-11-2003 01:39 PM

DeltAlum - I like that idea! My fiance and I both went to the same school, so maybe when I get a new car I'll have

PKA.:.Whitewater sticker.:.DO

Right now I just have those little gold water-stick letters on either side of my school sticker, but they're fading from sun. I haven't been able to find the written out stickers for DO yet.

cash78mere 09-11-2003 10:39 PM

i have letters and my college decal on my car but i think i'm going to take them off. although i still love both dearly, only college kids do it and i think i'm getting a little old at 25 to still have them on there. i'll still support both, but not have them on my car like i'm still in school

Ok, I know I am not the only one who will disagree with you on this particular point. :D ;)

Ginger 09-12-2003 10:41 AM

Nope! I'm 24 and (as you can see) making plans to put them on my next car!

breathesgelatin 09-12-2003 10:45 AM

They were until my parents traded in the car for a new one and didn't think they could remove my static stickers from my sorority, my college, my high school, and my Girl Scout troop.
