Hey Sorors and Sisterfriends
http://www.vistaprint.com offers 250 free business cards (they have their logo on the back, you pay shipping). If you don't want the ad on the back you can pay to not have it.

Keep it up. !!!
When you go out to network, you may not strike gold everytime, but you will move closer to your goal. The more you are 'out there', the easier it will become.

While in college I was a Political Science major with a minor in English. My goal was to study law and practice family law. Once I started taking classes on the constitution and the supreme court I knew that law school would be a waste of money. Those classes board me to death. There were some people in my classes that thought that stuff was just soooooo interesting and I was just lost in a storm. Once I graduated I said that I would either go into education or social services. I started with social services and I really liked it; I am not creative enough to become a teacher. I am planning to make a career in social services and my present goal is to become a Program Director. I am still debating if I want to stay in welfare to work or go to either mental health or work with children. There is just so many options that I can take.

I also considered becoming a Program Director, and I am also debating whether or not to pursue working in mental health or with children in the future. I have my BA in Sociology and Masters in Social Work (MSW).

I have a BA in History, most folks ask me if I wanted to teach. The answer is NO. I started out as an Animal Science major (wanted to be a vet) and then discovered that I had no interest in Science. So I changed to History because I always had an interest. I probably should have thought about what I was going to do with that degree - but you live and learn.

I'm working on my MBA (HR Management) now, hopefully I'll be finished in December.

Right now I work as a Recruiting Coordinator. But my interest is in Benefits and/or Compensation.

Recently I've been thinking about going back to school for my MLS and becoming a Librarian. I figure, I love to read, so I can use that to my advantage and do something that I like.

If I had to do it all over again, I would've started out as a business major. I also would've taken advantage of co-ops and internships so that I'd have experience and have a much better chance of landing a good job.

I got my cards from them and even though their logo is on the back, no one really ever looks at it. It's good to have cards because you NEVER KNOW when you will make a connection. I can attest that it happens all the time.
