Bah, no new Thetas this year, I know for a fact some of the chapters are represented (and apparently making quota afterward!) but the closest we've gotten this time is a pref party (congrats on AOPI to that PNM)

So... *pout*

However, I can pout with the best of them...I'd love to see all 26 NPC chapters represented with happy new members and GC posters as well as some local chapters. I don't think I've seen a rush thread where a woman chose a local chapter!

If you look at the the thread "Rush at UCSC" there is a rush thread where an amazing rushee STARTED a local. In that same thread, I rushed for that local chapter!! :D Not quite the same, but ya' know. :p However, I feel you. I think it would be great to see someone go to a local. I think one of the reasons that it isn't seen that ofter is because more often than not, (but not always) locals have informal rush and COB events and do not fit into the category of the traditional "formal rush" threads that are so popular here. :) But, I can always hope!!

I read your rush thread and you are one amazing woman!! I'm very excited for you and I wish you the best of luck!! http://www.handykult.de/plaudersmili...y/luxhello.gif

Yes, I agree.................

And there are still some CA schools coming up so that's a plus.

Wasn't there a TPA interest group that was getting stalled because the campus wasn't open for expansion?? Does anyone know what happened with that?

from what i've heard, since last spring 16/20 groups had to do spring rush and only 2 groups were at total, expansion will probably be delayed for a couple years at least until numbers start going back up.

i'll join in on the pouting here, cuz im feelin that the xi's are being a bit neglected as well

i would love to see a new baby fuzzy here on GC

i think we're mainly northeast/midwest but that doesnt mean that more people cant want to be AXiD's!

Actually, when you think about it, we're doing quite well.

If you go through all the successful rush stories (I haven't done ones of people are still rushing, vanished, or who dropped out yet) we have 21 out of the 26 NPC groups mentioned. That's really pretty good-we're missing:

Alpha Sigma Alpha
Alpha Sigma Tau
Phi Sigma Sigma
Sigma Sigma Sigma
Theta Phi Alpha

If we get those 5, then everyone has a presence in this year's recruitment.

Bids are totally a different thing -- but it's so *random!* Sigma Kappa has been in 6 stories and has 3 new GCers, ADPi has been in 16 and doesn't have one yet!!

Here's to hoping that we all show up somewhere!

sugar and spice 09-01-2003 02:44 PM

And if you do take into account those who will be rushing, we'll knock a few more off that list -- I know that ToBeSororityGirl's school, who's going through soon, has ASA and Tri Sigma.
