well, I'm not going into details just yet because I think at this point in time it would still be inappropriate. But I feel that my interview did not go very well. I just got a bad feeling about it, I could totally be wrong, but I'm pretty good at judging these things. I am going to the philanthropy night wed. at 7, and then we are supposed to pick up envelopes between 10 and 3 on Thursday telling us if we got an invite to pref. or not. I'm trying to stay optimistic!

edited because I said BIDS are being given out Thursday instead of INVITES TO PREF. Sorry!

Open House
 

Unfortunately tonight I had to miss Open House because it started at 7 and I have class from 5 until 8 (with mandatory attendance). I asked my interviewer if I should miss it all together or come late and she told me that they would be done by 8, so it really wasn't an option for me. I asked if it would be ok if I missed it and she said that was fine because there were a lot of girls missing one or both events because of school and/or work. She also said that most of the information I got at my meeting last night would be repeated, so I wouldn't miss anything really important. I get to go to philanthropy night tomorrow at 7, which I think will be more interesting because we get to make little cards for breast cancer awareness month. I feel a lot better about my interview today too. I want this so much!!!

I will probably update everyone around 9:30, 10 at the latest, tomorrow night.

I'm in loooove.

I had sooo much fun. The Zetas from UCF danced for us and one of the speakers (I wish I could remember her name) sang this beautiful song. We got to drink pink lemonade with strawberry garnishes that were impossibly cute and make little cards that had pink ribbons on them for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. And I got to meet a whole bunch of girls from my school that I never would have met otherwise. Invites to Pref are tomorrow, then bid day is Friday! I'm hoping and praying and hoping and praying and hoping and praying....you guys get the idea.

Tonight just made me want this so much more...I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing! ;) :D :p

It WAS Deb Ensor....that's her name, I am so terrible at remembering names, and its worse when I'm excited and nervous. She has the most beautiful voice, I thought I was going to cry. oh, to be blessed with such a gift! I wish you all could have heard it.

Deb is wonderful! At Convention, she always sings with such emotion that it makes everyone else teary, too, in a good way, of course. ;)

I didn't get invited back...but oh well. At least I walked out of that room with a smile on my face and wished all the other girls good luck. I could dwell on this and ask myself what I could have done differently a million times and come up with a million different answers, but I'm not going to do that. It only makes it worse. I'm asking GCer's to NOT send me condolences through pm or through replies to this thread. It would just make it more difficult for me at a time when I'm just trying to get over a feeling of rejection.

Again, Thank you for all the support that was given to me by all of you. I will still be around GreekChat, so don't worry about that!
