My one manager is a Kappa and then another sales associate is an AGD. There's one girl I work with and she's a GDI, but she's super snotty about it. When I first started this summer she was like, "You're in a sorority? I was only going to go greek if I didn't make any friends as a last resort!"

Peaches-n-Cream 07-11-2003 02:54 PM

I have an SDT in my building. That is all that I can think of right now.

sueali 07-11-2003 02:57 PM

I work for athletics so actually in my department there are only 2 other greeks besides myself 2 AKA's, but in my physical office there's also another Sigma Kappa an AGD and a DST.

Silverblue 07-11-2003 04:36 PM

Not only do I work with another Pi Phi, but we're from the same chapter!

GeekyPenguin 07-11-2003 06:01 PM

Currently I have no jobby job, but at my last job (Campus Life Network Support for the whole campus, more or less):

me - Gamma Phi Beta
6 Sigma Phi Epsilons
1 TKE
1 Theta Tau
1 Gamma Phi new member - we COBed her at the end of last year

Not too shabby for a 28 person office! :)

AOII*Azra-elle 07-11-2003 06:59 PM

Well, I have 2 jobs this summer--at Hot Topic I'm, of course, the only greek there and at my other job there is an Alpha Phi alum and and AOII (me), but that's it.

Pi Kapp 142 07-11-2003 07:50 PM

Forgot to add, that there is another Pi Kapp who got me the job to begin with. He is an associate here and knew I needed a job, so I m now a file clerk extraordinaire

ladyj39 07-11-2003 08:22 PM

When I was in college, I worked at the student bookstore and throughout the years I was there, 11 Alpha Phis worked with me! (let's just say that new hires were great recruits! ;) )

NinjaPoodle 07-14-2003 09:59 PM

So far, there are two of us, me and a KAT from Vandy. I'm still trying to find out about the rest of the firm (law). Out of 10 lawyers, at least 1/2 have got to be greek.

tnxbutterfly 07-14-2003 10:19 PM

At my last job there was

1 Phi Beta Sigma
1 Zeta Phi Beta
1 AKA (actually she was a HR person when I temped in HR)
1 Lambda Chi Alpha (who was such a hottie)

Ocassionally, I'd see a DST, a Sigma Gamma Rho, and an Omega.
There was also a Beta something

Not bad considering I worked in a callcenter.

AOcutiePi4ever 07-14-2003 10:43 PM

we have an alpha tau psi (i think those are the letters at least!) a theta chi, and me, AOII!

MoonStar17 07-15-2003 09:13 PM

Me another secretary and my old assistant supervisor (she left to have her baby with her SigEp hubby..thier 1st one) are all
Phi Mu's...

my new assistant supervisor is a Delta Gamma
one intern is a Tri Delta
another secretary in my office is a Phi Sigma Sigma

LOL we are a big greek family...but to this day we still call it a
Phi Mu office,
the position I have has passed down to other Phi Mu's...before me there were 3 others who worked my position until they graduated and then moved on. Now there are only 2 of us left

:D

chitownxo 07-15-2003 09:34 PM

I have two jobs. My department in my daytime job boasts three Delta Sigma Thetas, two Alpha Kappa Alphas, and one each from Delta Gamma, Alpha Sigma Tau, Sigma Sigma Sigma, and Chi Omega (me!). I'm sure there are more in the firm, but those are the ones I know for sure.

There are a lot of Greeks at my nighttime job. Off the top of my head, there's a AOPi (one of the store managers), an Alpha Sigma Alpha (from AlphaFrog's chapter), a Kappa Delta, two or three Sigma Kappas, and an Alpha Phi. One of the girls in my department is planning on going though rush this fall, so there may be another one!

SunnyGirl483 07-17-2003 11:57 PM

Greeks in the workplace

I work in a department store while I am home from school and I work with a Chi-O (chitownxo) and a good friend of mine is going through recruitment this fall...only time will tell which org she chooses!

ASUADPi 07-18-2003 12:19 AM

Right now my coworker is actually a sister, but she would be considered 'lost' because she isn't active in the alumna association, in fact she pretty much hates any references being made to the fact that she is greek in the first place. Kind of makes me ashamed that she is my sister, but I respect her all the same cause she is.
During football season I work at the stadium and one of my supervisors was a sisters from my chapter of initiation. She actually initiated me, which seems pretty ironic. What was funny is that I recognized her but I couldn't remember where I had seen her before. It wasn't until we were moving my car to the employee parking lot and she saw my letters on my car that she realized that I was her sister. Talk about small world.
So far I haven't worked with any other greeks.

Alpha Delta Pi

blueGBI 07-18-2003 12:47 AM

At my job we have:
1 AOPi
1 Beta
1 Kappa Sig
1 Alpha Zeta
2 Gamma Sigs

Since its on campus you would think there would be more greeks..

APhiAngel 07-18-2003 01:12 AM

I used to work with a Kappa Sigma, but he went onto bigger and better things. But, at the bank that I work at there is 1 Alpha Phi, who works in a different branch. I start my new job next week, so we'll see how many greeks I work with there...

sailboatgirl 07-18-2003 10:31 AM

On my floor of eleven people (all women), we have...

Sigma Sigma Sigma (me)
Kappa Alpha Theta
Kappa Kappa Gamma
Alpha Chi Omega
Pi Beta Phi
Delta Delta Delta
Sigma Gamma Rho

So, 7 out of 11 greek women isn't bad...of the other four women, one didn't go to college, and the other two went back to school later in life after they'd had kids.

Also at the agency, we have at least one more Theta and TONS of AKA's, plus probably more that I don't know about.

sigmagrrl 07-19-2003 09:06 AM

Not many people I work with went to college :( That makes me pretty sad. I know of a few Greeks, but I don't work with many of them any more. One was Phi Delt, another I can't remember his fraternity. My half-ass manager is a TKE (no slight meant towards his org, just him!). One of my good friends WAS Greek (I say was, because her local chapter went Phi Sigma Sigma, but she opted not to join...) Her best friend is a Tri Sigma and so is her mom, but neither care anymore *sniff*:( I tried to get them active, but they really don't care any longer...

FAUNikki 07-20-2003 04:40 PM

I work at a summer camp so everyone is a college student!! I work with a Delta Chi from University of Florida (although apparently they got kicked off campus) and his girlfriend is a Phi Mu at UF, she works for another camp though.

uwwsweetie 07-20-2003 04:51 PM

Only one

At my job I am the only person out on the floor that went to a four year college besides Management and I am also the only person who is Greek since none of my managers are. But back in the Pharmacy department I know of at least one person who i beleive was a Theta in college (don't quote me there) and I would bet that a handful of the other pharmacy ppl are greek but I just dont know about it. And at my other Job I am the only person to ever go to college so none of them are greek :(

tnxbutterfly 07-20-2003 10:36 PM

At my new job, besides me, there is a Delta Sigma Theta

AGDLynn 07-21-2003 09:16 AM

It's sad when a Greek won't let others know they are a member when their own chapter is on campus. In this case, she was "afraid she would be asked to be an advisor" and she wanted to be an advisor for another campus org. She's losing out on a valuable experience..the collegians are terrific. We have all the advisor slots filled, but that doesn't mean we don't want her to get to know her sisters!!

She doesn't work in Greek Life so there shouldn't be a job conflict!

gphiangel624 07-23-2003 01:08 AM

My office is the Student Life office, so there are obvious Greeks in our midst. But here goes:

Professional staff:
- One director is a Phi Delta Theta from somewhere in Kansas (not sure where)
- Another is an Alpha Kappa Alpha from CSU San Luis Obispo
- Another is an Alpha Phi Omega from UCR
(That's three of the four directors that are Greek)

Student Staff:
- I'm a Gamma Phi Beta
- My student staff consists of 3 other women: one is a Pi Beta Phi, another is a Kappa Kappa Gamma
- The student staff consists of another Alpha Phi Omega, an Alpha Epsilon Pi, a Sigma Alpha Epsilon Pi (they're starting a chapter here and are really awesome so far!), a Delta Tau Delta, and an Alpha Chi Omega.

All in all= it's a well-rounded, yet not completely Greek-oriented office.

ksig600 07-23-2003 09:39 AM

In my building there's an:

Alpha Phi
Alpha Gamma Delta
Sigma Alpha Epsilon
Beta Theta Pi
Kappa Kappa Gamma

...and me

recentASAalum 07-23-2003 11:04 AM

I used to work at Old Navy... most of the people were either in high school or college drop outs... but one girl I worked with was a Sigma Kappa from my school... and was actually the advisor to my ASA chapter when I pledged... and then one day I wore my letters to pick up my check and it turns out that one of my managers was a Sigma Kappa too...

my boss at my current job is a Delta Chi... one of the girls that used to work there was either an ADPi or an AOPi but ended up dropping before she got intiated...

Sigma Sage 07-24-2003 11:51 AM

In my office we have....

1- Sigma Pi
1- Lambda Chi
1- Kappa Alpha Psi
1- Pike
1- Beta Theta Pi
1- Alpha Gamma Delta
1- Kappa Delta

texas*princess 07-29-2003 12:12 PM

I just found out one of my co-workers is a Zeta Phi Beta! She's really funny & nice! :)

radioZTA 07-29-2003 01:12 PM

I forgot to add that there is an Alpha Phi in my office. She and I are both advisors for our respective chapters at Univ of N. Texas.

I just found out that there is an ADPi and an AOPi here. The ADPi is very sweet but I don't know who the AOPi is yet because I've only seen the sticker on her car.

Dolphingirl14 07-31-2003 04:14 PM

AS far as I know there are a couple at the mortgage company I intern for.

there's an AKA
there was a Delta Sigma Theta but she left.
Phi Mu
there was FIJI
And one of my Alpha Xi Delta sisters who's an alumni works here too with me!

HotDamnImAPhiMu 07-31-2003 04:29 PM

I worked in a resturant until last Thursday, and two of the four bosses had been Sig Eps in college (still were, but I'll use past tense to indicate that they're not currently attending school.)

We also had me, a Sigma Kappa, and a Sigma Chi. That's it.

Started at the new resturant today (yay for moving?) but don't know anyone yet..... and I think i left my lavaliere in storage. Whatever will I do?!

Pi Kapp 142 08-13-2003 09:46 PM

FOund another person at my work today who is a LXA.

HotDamnImAPhiMu 08-15-2003 11:13 AM

Why is that bad? :p

raelee 08-15-2003 07:26 PM

In my office of approx. 30 employees there is an Alpha Sigma Alpha, Alpha Kappa Alpha and me an Alpha Xi Delta.

There was an Omega Psi Phi but he just left 3 weeks ago for another job.

MeLikey 08-16-2003 02:38 AM

2 of the older women I worked with at Nordstrom were Greek... 1 was a Delta Gamma (!) and the other a Alpha Xi Delta. After I found out the 1 woman was a DG, I felt this connection to her.

Tom Earp 08-16-2003 09:15 AM

While I have no one but me and a part timer in shop,

Some of my Representatives:

Omega Psi Phi, Kappa Sigma, & AKA!

Doe have customers who are Greeks!

HotDamnImAPhiMu 08-16-2003 06:39 PM

Too bad he's 20 because I'm 22, and he's adorable and I'm too old for him. :-D

You gotta admit, there's a big difference in those two years. At least for some!

Well why don't you get to know him. You may find that you have lots in common and that 2 years isn't such a big deal. I'm seeing a guy that is 20 and I'll be 23 in 3 weeks. We have tons in common and the age difference isn't anything at all.

Munchkin03 08-16-2003 06:47 PM

This summer, there was me, a Pi Phi, 2 Lambda Chi Alphas, and the house director for a Chi Omega chapter (who was engaged to another Greek who I didn't get to meet).
