I just purchased the BB2 soundtrack. I'm loving "Shake Your Talefeather..." and the one with Lenny! I haven't heard anything past #4 YET!

:D

Is Mya on sale? Available yet?

Shake Your Tailfeather uses my school's war chant. :( This means I have to endure it at the club every time. :( :( :(

Beyonce's CD...

I AM a fan of DC since the begining, but I am not feeling Beyonce's CD. Maybe my music taste have grown, I don't know. It has been spinning in my radio, several times, but I just cannot get into it.

CrimsonTide4 07-18-2003 11:21 AM

shake your tailfeather

OMG I just heard it on the way to work for the first time. . .it had me shaking my tailfeather on the way to work which is kind of hard to do. :o :o

I heard a new R. Kelly song on the radio a while ago. I believe the name of it was "Thoia Thoing".

I like Monica's new Cd including the tracks, "Down 4 Whateva"," If You Were The Girl", "U Deserve", and "I Wrote This Song".

JS has some nice songs including "Ice Cream" and "Love Angel"

The Roots have a nice mellow song called "Complexity" feat Jill Scott on their new CD

Mad Skillz has a hot song titled "Only Get One" feat Aaries.

That's the song! The chorus freaked me out!

I love "Complexity"! It's just so smooth!

I just finished listening to Mya; "Fallen" is real tight!

I'm not a big Ashanti fan, but I'm feelin' "Rain On Me" right now.

Diva_01 07-19-2003 09:16 PM

Thanks augystskyz!!!

Rain On Me is the JAM. That's the only song I am feeling off her new CD.

I am gonna DL Fallen right now.

I heard that R. Kelly song on the radio, but the DJ said it was another remix to Snake. I dunno...I am gonna try to look for that too.

Gina1201 07-20-2003 01:01 PM

Just a reminder that Mya's CD comes out this Tuesday. It's on sale at Best Buy for $11.99 and Target for $9.98.

Note to CT4: Best Buy now has a rewards card similar to Media Play called the Reward Zone. It's $9.99 for a one year membership.

Warning

Just to warn everyone the RIAA has 871 subpeoneas for people who are sharing music files, with approximately 75 processing per day. They're really going after people. Be careful

I've never heard them, either. I'm gonna need some song titles or something. Where are you? Are you sure they are new songs? They may be some old songs that have already passed through here.

Nope, not so legal anymore. Congress has authorized the RIAA to force Internet service providers to turn over personal information of individual users. So for example if you use Verizon for internet servce, the RIAA goes to Verizon and says "give me all the people who are downloading music" and according to the new law Verizon has to do it. I recommend everyone keep abreast of this issue.

YES! Go to the Chit Chat forum, there's a thread about it that will lead you to some helpful websites. I just got an email today from my university about it (I'm in the dorms for the summer) and basically I better stop now. Sad to say, the RIAA is getting their way.

Okay I've heard of the hooka hooka song. I didn't like it at first...but it's actually pretty catchy. It has a nice beat, sometimes I find myself jammin to it... I don't even wanna think about what the dance thet goes with it is like though

This song is pretty old but it still gets on my nerves how people jam to this "I'm chillin with my girl and you already know and if you wanna reach me hit me on the downlow if I don't call back don't put on a show, cuz I ride past your house and blow instead of knocking on your door." How disrespectful is that

Okay the fact that I know all the words should let you know they play it entirely too much...

Sorry I digress as far as music picks I really like Beyonce's new CD, "Hip Hop Star", Monica "Knock, Knock" ,"I'm too hood for you"and anything by R. Kelly even the new one with Marcus Houston and Joe Budden

R. Kelly is making BIG money these days. Besides his own song, he has songs by B2K, JS, ATL, and all these other people. My new CD of the moment is Mya.

Going to buy Kindred really soon. I heard the Hargroves CD, and it is fantastic. Is anyone feeling Cody ChesnuTT? I loved The Seed 2.0 on the Roots' CD, but I can't get into his stuff. He's a little raw.

ALSO, I know I'm late, but I just bought Voyage to India. IT IS BEAUTIFUL!!! I can't stop listening to The Truth and Beautiful Surprise!

AKA2D '91 07-31-2003 09:13 PM

Monica's "Knock, Knock" ISSSSSS the bomb. I had that on repeat for the longest.

LSG...ya'll. It's ON!

I need to get Kindred. I saw it in CC for I think $12.99. I should have gotten that mess when it was between $6 and $9. :o
