can anyone fill me in on episode 2? Thanks! |
PS. Did anyone catch who's going to be on next week's episode? HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MR BIG!!!!!!!!!!!! :p OMG I SO CALLED IT! |
I thought this week's episode was great! * Poor Miranda! I can relate to how she feels! Longing for someone so close, yet so far :( *sigh* * Samantha is a freakin' riot! I loved the scene in bed at the end! She definitely does Pilates!! * Carrie is starting to irk me JUST a little.... * Charlotte is so damm pretty! I admire her chutzpah! |
I'll bet Steve isn't actually seeing anyone. I'm guessing he came up with the "other woman" as a way to protect himself against getting hurt by Miranda (again). |
And Samantha's bedroom scene with the waiter in Episode 2 paid a little homage to Kim Cattrall's 'Lassie' scene in Porky's over 20 years ago! ;) |

And Carrie and Burger's sex was so bad!! The first 2 times, it was so quiet, I was like, just stop already!! This is so bad!! When the show was over I was like, thank god they finally had good sex! I can't wait to see next weeks, with Big!! |
I reallyhope that Carrie ends up with BIG but does it tastefully not like when she cheated on Aidan to be with him. But I do think that BIG was her great love. And I want to see this end with a happily ever after since there have been so many disappointments in the show... like Charlotte not being able to have babies... I cried when that happened!!! It's such a shame!! But I guess the show shows reality but in the end I would like it to be more entertainment like so when it ends... you walk away knowing things are good  I think that Miranda and Steve will end up together... but not married for some reason... that's what my crystal ball says... but she loves him and I think she has ever since he became part of her life while she was pregnant and was just being mean to him to deny it. But with Samantha who knows!! There is a quiz out on the internet and it says I"m most like Samantha which means i'm going to be close to forty still looking for random hook ups!! So we'll see... I believe it's going to be a great final season to my favorite ladies on television!!! |
Was anyone crying as much as me when Harry proposed to Charlotte? It was so cute! Ok....I'm a dork..... :) So glad that Carrie and Burger broke up. I bet Big comes back into her life. Samantha's man is a hottie! |
Well, I didn't cry, but there was a hint of moisture in the eyes.:) It was really touching. My heart fluttered a bit. |
I loved when Harry proposed to Charlotte! What was with that sleeveless black slipdress/white collared shirt combo Miranda was sporting? It was odd looking I hope Berger never comes back; he's whiny. Samantha's man gets hotter and hotter every week. Wowza! Why does SJP always have bobby pins in her hair? I love how Carrie dresses, but bobby pins are crossing the line. |
Yeah I noticed the bobby pins the first or second episode... don't like them either. I really like her haircut, but those roots bother me! I'm getting a little tired of Jerry... he looked a lot hotter with short hair when he was Valerie's boyfriend on 90210. |
I'm glad I wasn't the only one who got teary eyed over Charlotte's engagement...does anyone think that Big will be back in NYC this season? |

Wasn't Jerry's character an actor, on 90210? I hate that they turned Berger into a whiny idiot. How could he breakup with her with a freakin post-it note?! That's so lame. |
Yeah Jerry was an actor... but on 90210 he was this big up and coming movie star, and on SATC he's not quite there yet. |
I got almost a little teary during the proposal. I had 'aww' moments all throughout the episode whenever Charlotte kept mentioning how much she missed Harry and loved him. They are TOO cute together! I'm happy for Charlotte... she finally deserves her "perfect man." The whole Brady/Miranda thing was also really kinda sad. She never gets to spend time with him and its finally getting to her. :( And I'm getting so sick of Samantha and her naked actor boy. Yeah, he's hot.. but I'm just getting a little tired of that whole story. I feel like there's never anything more to Samantha than sex with hot guys. Gosh, I can't believe I'm getting so work up over a TV show. :) |
First, WHO'S JERRY?!?!? Never mind, JUST remembered that's the character's name...DUH! Second, did anyone else think this episode was one of the best ones EVER?!?!? I LOVED how it ended with Carrie knocking the vase over...It was a beautiful piece of cinematography and I felt her emotions...I was thinking I'd do the SAME thing right before she did it... Classic... Hey, did anyone else notice how odd Chris Noth's voice sounded? It sounded more gruff...Hmm? |
I MISSED IT LAST NIGHT!!!! AAAAH! Anyone wanna fill me in on what happened? I'm going crazy over here. |
Yes please, if someone could tell us the entire show, scene by scene, line by line (just kidding!) I would LOVE it. I missed it but had a really good excuse! Thanks. |
I cried about Harry and Charlotte-they are so awesome! I love them together! My fiance was like, these are not real people, it's just a show. What does he know?? And I am shocked about Burger!!! WTF?? Bastard.  |

Charlotte- She kept getting set up with these women's sons from her sisterhood group at her synagogue. Her dates were absolutely awful. One guy was a dork and the other was gay. Finally, she goes to a Jewish singles event. She meets the third woman's son. He's actually perfect but she can't stop thinking of Harry. Coincidently, he happens to be there. They start talking and Charlotte tells him how much she misses him and loves him. He proposed to her. It was soooo cute and it brought tears to my eyes. Miranda- Her work doesn't allow her to spend as much time with Brady. He begins to become more attached to Magda (the nanny) than Miranda. She decides to cut back on her hours at work....to only 55 hours a week. Samantha- She gets Jerry to do an ad for Absolut. It's featured in Times Square and the Absolut bottle is in place of his...um...member. Jerry gets really self-conscious about it. He's worried that an acting job won't come out of it. Samantha's plan worked and he ended up with some part in a movie. Carrie- Burger begins picking fights with her at every opportunity. (I really don't like him...) He says he needs a break so he goes to the Hamptons for a week to think about the relationship. Carrie also thinks about the relationship. At first, she decides to break it off with him but then realizes that she really wants to work it out. Burger unexpectedly shows up at Carrie's place and told her that he wanted her back. He stayed the night. The next day, Carrie woke up to find Burger missing. He left a post-it note on her computer that said "I'm sorry. I can't. Don't hate me." |
I was soo pissed that he broke up with her ...on a freaking post-it!! Some "don't hate me"...you stupid a$$ I might not have hated you before, but after you break up with me on a post-it you've got something coming! I'm just wondering what BIG is going to do not that she's single again  |
That has got to be the worst way ever to break up with someone. What a spineless jerk. |
What a jackass! I never liked him from the start, and I knew after the book thing last week that he was going to break up with her, but what a way to do it! Anyone know when they're going to reshow it? |
I think they'll play it again tonight at 10. |
Coincidently, he happens to be there. They start talking and Charlotte tells him how much she misses him and loves him. He proposed to her. --------- So sweet! I loved how Charlotte was honest with him from the beginning. When he asked how she was, she was like "Not good... I miss you Harry." and then he started to interrupt and she just let loose on her 'I miss you, I love you, I need you' speech. I thought that whole 'I don't care if we don't get married, but I HAVE to be with you for the rest of my life.' thing was super sweet. And then when she asked if he could just call her or if they could maybe go on another date and he answered "Not good enough." I was kinda taken aback by his answer (I thought he was saying Charlotte's apology wasn't 'good enough' or something). Until I saw him reach into his pocket and get down on one knee! TOO CUTE! Wow, is it sad that I remember lines from a show I watched just once late last night? Well, it's not like they're extremely original lines... but STILL! |

My American cousins, you are so lucky! We Canadian girls have to wait until SEPTEMBER for the new Sex and the City episodes....wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! |

For those who have noticed (and disliked) Carrie's bobby pin trend (like myself), I just came across this article: Bobby Pins are the New Black by Nichole Robertson Jul 28 2003 The reign of the trucker hat is nearing its end. Not because East Village wannabe hipsters finally figured out John Deere green is over. Not because a "Porn Star" trucker hat was spotted on a housewife from Missouri. But because you can't see bobby pins when you are wearing an over-sized trucker hat. It's true. Thanks to Sex and the City's Carrie Bradshaw, we have an even odder trend threatening to replace the trucker hat: bobby pins. Not the pretty rhinestone-clad, floral, hand-made, girly-girl bobby pins. No. The kind you buy in the drugstore in packs of 50 for $1.99, the kind your grandma wears, the kind you use to hold back a stubborn stray hair. A few weeks ago, during the season premiere of Sex and the City, Carrie, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, wore a mess (at least twenty) of jet-black bobby pins in her highlighted blond hair. There was no rhyme or reason to their odd placement. It looked like her stylist just threw a handful of bobby pins at Carrie's hair to see how many would stick. Usually awed by Ms. Bradshaw's keen fashion sense, my husband and I stared in disbelief at the strange style and lambasted her with scathing judgment. Raquel, a forum member on the official Sex and the City website echoed our sentiments: "Please explain to me why Carrie had those awful black bobby pins in her blond hair. This is the worst I've seen this character." Apparently, not everyone shared Raquel's disdain for five-and-dime chic. In the days following the premiere, the walk to my 6th Avenue office proved that the Carrie disciples had fully embraced the bobby pin look. It started out slowly—just one or two girls proudly sporting an almost-acceptable one or two bobby pins. But soon the numbers grew. More and more young women clipped on more and more bobby pins. Five. Ten. Twenty. It was unbelievable. If Carrie got a tattoo of Mr. Big's member on her forehead, would the copycats inevitably do the same? My disbelief peaked last week when, during an editorial meeting, two of my colleagues showed up sporting similar multi-bobby pin styles. Amused by their sad attempt at coolness-by-association, we snickered and exchanged knowing glances. Obviously embarrassed, the two women watched the clock in anticipation of the end of our meeting and the return to the safety of their judgment-free cubicles. Hey, at least they weren't wearing scrunchies. There are plenty of legitimate reasons to adopt Carrie's style, because she usually nails it. Who didn't adore last year's charming feminine flower trend? But the average young woman should seriously reconsider any fashion trend that requires a trip to Rite-Aid or CVS. |

i wear bobby pins in my blonde hair... they aren't usually black though unless I can't find one that matches. But at work it's easier to pull my hair back like that. I like pink ones like Elle Woods better than the black ones but I always try to match. :) I think it's cute and she pulls it off and I've been told that i do too. |
 i liked the last episode....drama i can't i'm sorry don't hate me |
I'm a big dork, but I got a little teary when Charlotte was talking to Harry, she seemed so very sad and her voice was all squeaky when she said yes to his proposal....anyway, yeah a post it. I didn't like him that much anyway, I dated a guy once who "shut down" sometimes all I can say is NEVER AGAIN. |
What did everyone think about tonight's episode? I thought it was one of the best ones! I loved all the quotes, especially this one: "Why are we in such a rush to move from confused to Confucious? Do we search for lessons to lessen the pain?" But I just don't understand why Carrie always wears black bras with all her fancy dresses/shirts when the back is low or bare and the back strap shows... ruins the look from the back. |
This episode was funny. Especially the look on Carrie's face when she gets busted. BTW, what were she and Samantha wearing at the club? I didn't like either of their outfits. Next week looks interesting as well, although I didn't think Charlotte would be getting married so soon. |
Tonight's episode was pretty funny. The best part was Carrie and Samantha running from the drunk girls. I wasn't feelin Samantha's outfit either, Gina. The top was cool but the matching pants and hot pink fanny pack were a bad idea. I didn't think the wedding would happen so soon. How could she plan all that so quickly? |
 Quote:
I have to second that about the fanny pack! Up until this episode, I have been a little disappointed with the season, but tonight's show was definitely one of the better ones. |
The fanny packs have got to stop!!! |
SOME designer is pusing those fanny packs on the show...They must have gotten them for free! Tonight's episode was cute, not as good as last week, but good as usual. I felt so bad for Carrie losing it in Bed with Berger's friends... I really didn't like Miranda's skinny jeans outfit...I've seen her look better... I felt that Carrie's break-up bitching sort of ruined Charlotte's announcement :( Just a cute note: I saw an old re-run of the Cosby show last night and the actor that plays Steve (David Eisenberg) had a bit part!!! |
Tonight's episode was the funniest of the season (so far). That wedding was such a disaster. The best moments were Miranda getting hit by the boque, the card catching on fire, and Howie mouthing f*ck you to Carrie. How lame was he? |
