Laura, this is so odd! My Lygea was also an OES and named after the Edgar Allen Poe story/movie "The Tomb of Ligeia" (spelling changed slightly). Our neighbor's daughter got her when she was in college and we eventually ended up with her. There must be a Poe/big fluffy dog connection...
