I'm not saying that Elyse definitely has a problem because a DOCTOR would be the best person to judge that. IMO, there is something wrong. Have you seen what she eats? Almost NOTHING!!! The girl in 5'10' and weighs 115! That seems a little odd to me. Just because her boyfriend sees her eat does not mean something's not wrong. I'd be surprised if she even got her monthly cycle since she has ZERO body fat. And yes, if there was another girl on the show who looked like Elyse I would say the EXACT same thing.

a) Have you heard of creative editing? You only see her eat what the producers and editors want you to see her eat.
b) If you were in a modeling competition and you were on television, would you be stuffing your face? I think not.

From someone who graduated with a B.S. in Family and Child studies and has studied about eating disorders, I believe that Ellyse's eating behaviors suggest that she may have a problem. I'm not saying that she definitely has aneroxia or bullimia but she does show signs of maladaptive behavior that would make one think that she has a eating disorder. Her eating habits are wierd. One minute she's eating oatmeal and a blow pop and the next minute she's scarffing down pasta. Her reasoning for doing these things are because she feels that she has something to prove. If she didn't have some sort of a problem there would be no reason for her to try and prove anything to the other ladies or Tyra. Obviously she feels that her secret is exposed and she has to try and cover up the skeletons(no pun intened) that have come out.

Just because her boyfriend doesn't know, doesn't mean that she doesn't have a problem. Many women hide these things from their families and their loved ones for years.

Bottom line Ellyse has a problem. It may not be diagnosed as aneroxia or bullimia but she has an eating problem none the less. Her eating habits are maladaptive and simply unhealthy.

Your statement about being in a modeling competition poses a problem for me. Why should you care what people think about your eating habits? You should eat what you want to eat when you want to eat it. That's the problem, women are so self-absorbed with the way the look that they would forgo their health so that they don't look like a pig on television. Who cares?

I love Elyse an I agree that she seems to be the most "ready" to go into modeling. She just looks so natural in everything she does. I personally am of the midset that until they prove that there is something wrong, I am not going to label her. I think that she has so many other things going for her that she doesn't have to win this competition to be successful. So why would she starve herself just to win? That doesn't make sense.
Although I don't like Robin and wish she would go away, I am proud that Tyra stood up to that judge who dismissed her. But at the same time, this is the search for the next top model, not the next plus sized top model (don't get my wrong, I don't think that size 12 is plus sized, that's just stupid!). I don't like Robin because of her negative attiude, her belittling nature, and just because she's older than a lot of them, that doesn't make her any more knowledgable in life. In the end, I think that her size and belief's will conflict with the premise of the contest.

Just because someone has strange eating habits does not mean he/she is anorexic or bulemic. Also, these people are on tv and we are only seeing bits and pieces of what is going on in their lives for a specific amount of time. For all we know, we could be seeing snippets of the same conversation split into five or six different segments so we are meant to believe that this concern over her supposed "disorder" are continual.

This argument can also be given for the reason WHY something might be wrong. Either way, is she does or doesn't have a E.D., she is just too skinny TO ME!!

Well let me interject to say that Elyse's attitude just sucks. But then again so does everyone else's (except maybe Kesse, but's probably just because they haven't focused on her much).

I agree with Leslie about the creative editing. We're not seeing every meal that Elyse is eating. And the girls in the house can only specualte about her eating habits. Adrianne didn't actually see Elyse throwing up in the bathroom. All she could say was that she "thought" she heard something. Also, I thought Robin was out of line when she made the "you're not gonna eat any" comment to Elyse about the pizza. Just because she said she wasn't trying to be mean doesn't make it any less rude. She needs to get the boot next week.

One thing I don't like about this show is that the judging doesn't seem consisent. And, I REALLY dislike Janice. She is obnoxious! You're a has-been, Janice...get over yourself! WTG Tyra for telling her off!

The episode didn't air for you? I saw it! It was a good one- the girls went to Paris, did a sexy lingerie photo shoot and had to do the Amazing Race: Model Edition in an afternoon. They had to meet with 4 different clients all around Paris. They had to use the metro all alone and get themselves around the city without the other girls and on time to every appointment. Sad ending tonight, too... I was upset, along with everyone else on the show. Even all of the judges were crying! She was one of my favorites. :(

It was alot like the Amazing Race tonight on the show. I was sad about the ending too. She was my 2nd favorite. And who new Judge Janice was capable of tears.

Between the two of them it would be really hard to pick.

Elyse and Adrianne are my top two also. But in the end, do you REALLY want to hear Adrianne in interviews or commercials or whatever? Her voice is SO annoying! I think it was Kimora who said that "listening to her speak makes me want to grind my teeth." or something like that. And I have never been a fan of Adrianne's personal appearance (not her looks, but how she dresses herself, etc)- she is very tomboyish, which I think could hurt her. She probably doesn't know much about fashion and probably couldn't care less. I think that could really pose as a problem in the long run. You need to be able to know about haute couture and be able to adapt to the concept and the look in order to pull it off.

I really do think Elyse is the best all around. Has there been anything Elyse has NOT been the best at? Best interviews, best photo shoots, best photos, best make-up... and she's constantly being named the "one they would book right now." They're TOTALLY setting Elyse up to be the winner... which means she probably won't win. They mess with you like that. :mad:

Kesse got eliminated. All of the judges and the rest of the girls were crying (well except Elyse, but she was still sad). Adrianne was in the bottom 2. I so wanted Robin to go, but I think she'll be going home next week. The girls have to do a nude photo shoot and you know Robin & Shannon will throw a fit. Maybe they'll show this weeks episode before the new one next week, Leslie.

I sure hope so! And yes, I am sure Robin and Shannon will be obnoxious about the nudity. Maybe that will put them in the bottom two.

I can't believe I missed it! I moved back to School and I couldn't find the right channel or somehting over here, and or maybe a baseball game really was on. I'm so sad to hear that Kesse left, I thought that she was very good, but, like everyone kept saying, she looks like another Tyra. My guess is still Elyse for the winn, especially if they are doing nude modeling next week. I can see both Robin and Shannon having huge problems with it.

I think Elyse will win-- even though I think Shannon is the prettiest. Adrienne has the look but she doesn't have the nice presentation.

I'm so freaking glad that Robin is gone!! I couldn't take her for another episode. She needs to take her holy roller butt home. I'm glad Shannon got to stick around, but she will be the next to go. The judges are right about her being "one note". Adrienne and Elyse had great pictures this week. I'd say Adrienne's was the best. I could see that in a magazine. I was waiting for her to fall off that table though.

Robin just completely unleashed all the bitchiness, that we've been talking about for weeks, in this episode.
1) "I wanna go shopping" ...shut up with your uncompromising, cry baby whining!
2) The date challenge ...yep, we knew you had no manners
3) The nude shoot ...man, I wish they would have shown the Jay incident so everyone would SEE what a hypocrite you are!

I watched this for the first time last night! Robin is such a hypocrite! What a witch she was on the date too! You can at least TRY to be sociable! They should have left her at home!

I, too, was surprised to see Shannon stay and Elyse go, but I think it all worked out for the best.

My mom and I have watched every episode over long distance phone call and we were so happy when Adrienne (sp?) won! She looked like she was going to just fall over and be sick when she saw her picture hanging there and I know that she was thinking of her family at that moment and not herself. I am so glad she won :p

I love how they showed the video of her doing her "rock and roll" tongue thing! So funny!

Elyse just didn't seem like she wanted it that bad enough... I wouldn't have responded the way she did when the judges asked why she entered the contest--because she thought it would be fun... I would have put more heart into it. You knew Adrienne was going to win after the judges' deliberation because their last comments were favoring Shannon-- so you knew that it was going to be Adrienne because they want you to think it's going to be that person and then surprise....

I'm glad Adrienne won. Loved the look on her face when she saw her picture. It's funny, I didn't like Shannon that much during the whole season, but she won me over tonight. I wasn't that mad that she beat out Elyse. But I figured Adrienne would be the winner. It was funny when she hugged Janice and she was like "I didn't vote for you".

Yes, but it's not in Elyse's personality to make up emotions...she tells it like it is. Oh well, she's got med school.

I KNOW!! I kept thinking that the picture alone should win it for her. I didn't even recognize her when the curtain was dropped and it was blown up. Gorgeous picture!

I was shocked Elyse was the first of the three to go, but I was definitely happy Adrianne won it all. In a way, it's better, because I would've hated for Elyse and Adrianne to go against each other because they are SUCH great friends. Not that it would ruin their friendship, but there could certainly be some tension. But, I think it was great how supportive Elyse was of Adrianne. And it made me happy to see all three of them bonding, laughing and having a great time together.

I do like Shannon and while I think she may have looked better on the runway, I think Adrianne was much more of the package. I wouldn't want to see Shannon on TV shows- she wouldn't have all too much to say and she'd just be a big bubbly smile. Adrianne, while she may be annoying to hear, would be much more interesting. Adrianne takes better pictures and is willing to try anything, also- she's totally comfortable and confident in front of the camera and with herself.

Adrienne was on Regis and Kelly this morning as well as the news on UPN. You could tell she's been working on her voice-- the UPN anchor said to her that it's improved. Her hair looked great and she had a nice tan.

I caught Adrienne on E! News Live and Access Hollywood today. She talked about how she was going to use her prize money to help her parents. Her speech has definitely improved. You could actually understand her! And she did look really good. But, I thought she was a little bit too tan.

Are they casting for season two now? Does anyone know when that starts?

They have started the search for season 2. During a commercial break, they showed an announcement that they would be here in Syracuse this Saturday looking for people.
