I love 7 th heaven.... been watching it since the beginning....

I absolutely adore mckensie rosman( ruthie) she is always five steps ahead of everyone in that family.

the twins....they and my 4 yr old son could be triplets ....

Very good story lines, good acting, and i will be very sad if and when they ever go off the air.

Bump!

So I was watching Part One of last season's finale and decided to bump this since the new season starts in about two weeks.

We know from the previews that Matt and Simon are going to be back home, Mary gave birth to a son (Charles Miguel), Lucy's also expecting, Ruthie's still growing up, and the twins are still speaking like they're challenged.

This season Ruthie starts high school and the twins are in kindergarten. Do we all remember when RUTHIE just started kindergarten?

It was reported on ETonline.com that Simon will be the first Camden spawn to engage in pre-marital sex. I know Simon's a man now, but I'm having a hard time getting those images of him and Happy from almost ten years ago outta my head.

I'm glad that all but one of the Camden kids are back home. That outsider Martin is still there, but according to TVtome.com, they've given the boot to Chandler, Roxanne, and of course, Cecilia.

Lucy's already a basket case. I wonder how she'll be as an expecting mother. Poor Kevin.

And yes, mu_agd ho, I know I really pay too much attention to 7th Heaven, you don't have to remind me.

Whoa. It's been quite a few years since I watched this show, but I didn't realize it had been that long. I remember Simon being about 14 when I stopped watching, and there is no way in HECK that Ruthie can be in high school already!!!! Wow!!!

cutiepatootie 08-31-2004 10:39 AM

I can't believe it has been on this long. I watch this show every week and even reruns on ABC family.......i can't get enough of the show. I truly believe it is one of the best shows still on TV that hasn't been swallowed up by reality based shows.

HO.

I'll be watching it at the bar at work while everyone else watches Monday Night Football.

Yeah! tonight is the season premiere! :)

Xylochick216 09-14-2004 02:09 PM

Ahhhhh! I missed it! What happened?

phisigduchesscv 09-16-2004 02:04 AM

It's a two parter. The parents are having to deal with their kids growing up. Everytime there was a crisis they would flashback to when the kids were little then come back to the present.

The twins went off to kindergarten - someone said or did something to one twin so the other hit him. Basicly they got in trouble at school.

Simon is with some girl name Gloria that he met in school. He dated her, even drove up to town during the semester for a very fancy dinner ($100 plus for two) and didn't check in with the family. It's suspected he's had sex with her so everyone is trying to talk to him about it. Oh and Simon won a scholarship and didn't tell his parents about it. Pays for at least 1/4 of 1/2 of his tuition. Eric is understandably mad about this since the family can use the money.

Ruthie started high school. She was upset that Martin didn't drive her to school but made her walk. Then she's at school trying to find classes and just looking lost. She sees Martin and starts to go over to him but he ignores her. Ruthie starts to walk past him then turns around and pants him in front of everyone Ruthie doesn't know why she did it. Looks like Peter's family moved so Ruthie is upset with that too.

Matt is in town but they didn't say much about him. Just that he was there at Kevin's request to talk about Lucy. Lucy isn't dealing well with the weight gain from her pregnancy. She won't even think about buying new clothes because her clothes "fit fine" as her pants keep falling down. Lucy is upset at her dad since he didn't even think to talk to her about talking over Chandlers job.

No mention of Mary, Carlos, or the baby. Roxane we knew was joining the military. I didn't hear what the explanation was about Chandler leaving.

That's about what I remember

Carolyn

Unregistered- 09-16-2004 07:24 AM

Another website gave some kind of explanation as to why Chandler's no longer there (besides the fact that the dude got busted for possesion IRL), but it goes along the lines of the producers wanting to focus more on the Camdens, unlike seasons past.

I'm really glad that Simon doesn't look too much like an alien anymore.

Sam and David, IMO, still have a speech problem, if they're supposedly FIVE already, why are they still speaking like that? When the Olsen twins were 3, they were nothing like that.

Shut up, Nicole. Haha

cutiepatootie 09-16-2004 02:29 PM

I am sooo with you on the simon looking like a alien. What did they do to that boy......he looked scary at the end fo this past season...thankfully he looks normal again. I dont like his sttitude at all. I liked simon when he was the blonde bowl hair cut looking kid. he got to be a teen and i just never liked him thereafter.

i wonder why no talk about mary and carlos and the baby

whats up with Matt....where is sarah ( besides being back in NY taking a summer class)

Rudey 09-16-2004 02:46 PM

This show sucks. It doesn't compare to Everwood or Jack and Bobby. It used to be good, but then all the children turned into whores and that got old. The Camdens are the epitome of bad parenting.

So I saw the trailer for this weeks episode and it sure makes it seem like Kevin cheated on Lucy and they're getting divorced.

Though, it's probably just classic 7th heaven- some big dramatic mix up by Lucy. 'cause we all know Kevin's a total saint. Or just on some good drugs to put up with her

Don't click it unless you want to know the whole Kevin/Lucy thing in tonight's episode.

Martha Plimpton (River Phoenix's ex) guest stars tonight!

AlphaFrog 05-10-2006 01:51 PM

Ok, I just had to make mention about the Final 7th Heaven ever:

WHAT THE HELL WERE THE WRITERS THINKING!?!?!?!!!

I watched it mainly for nostalgic purposes...I watched the show all the time BEFORE it went totally nuts.

It was STUPID to have Matt, Mary AND Lucy all having twins. I don't mind the way Simon & Rose's wedding turned out, as I saw a few episodes before the finale and I really didn't like her at all.

efcheerBB 05-10-2006 01:53 PM

Okay, and question..at the end when Sandy comes back and tells Simon that they need to talk (or something like that) was that supposed to be an indication that Sandy's baby was Simon's? I am confused.

Also, I agree-I am glad that Rose and Simon didn't get married. I love the show, but I have seen far better series finales...

I think? that was the idea?? But I never saw any of the other episodes with her in them, so I don't know.

ADPiShannan 05-10-2006 02:11 PM

Ok I did watch all of this season since I heard it was the last and I agree, the final episode was HORRIBLE...

The twin thing was sooo stupid I just couldn't believe it..

The 6 different ways the wedding could go was stupid too, waste of time and they didnt even show how the wedding went anyways..

I am glad Simon did not marry her, she was ANNOYING and noone really liked her.

Sandy coming back, I think it was made to be that the baby was Simons, but why wouldnt they just tell us that, its not like it was a finale and we'll see it next season...

Overall sad to see it go, but the finale was horrible. I was glad I had it on tivo and didnt really watch it or it would have wasted my time...

Definitely!! They cut to the reception, and I was thinking...wait, what just happened??? Did my husband's blabbering distract me that much that I missed the whole wedding??

mu_agd 05-10-2006 02:50 PM

Hey Sandy, I actually watched! Are you proud?

adpiucf 05-10-2006 04:02 PM

I've missed the last month's worth of episodes due to a Monday night conflict. Can I get the scoop on the finale?

HBADPi 05-10-2006 04:27 PM

The twins thing was absolutely ridiculous, I wanted that hour of my life back after that. I dont even watch this show anymore but like a lot of others decided to watch it just for kicks and then I totally regreted it.

I was flipping channels during flashbacks so I totally thought I missed the wedding. Then when the fat lady asked for the bride and groom to come to the dance floor I was all "Wait! Simon actually married Evil Eve???"

See, I can kinda understand lucy and mary having twins, as it can run through the maternal line, but it is supposed to skip a generation. There is absolutely no reason that sarah would be having twins.

Also, blech. If Simon is getting together with Sandy and the baby's his, why didn't Martin come back for Ruthie?

Also, think about it, the Camden's went from having 2 grandkids (lucy's and mary's) to 9 (lucy's twins, mary's twins, sarah's twins, and sandy's kid) in one episode!

They could run in her family. She could have taken fertility drugs. There are plenty of reasons for her to be having twins.

FINALE RECAP, please!!!!

kddani 05-11-2006 10:08 AM

Ashlee Simpson should've made a guest appearance!

jess_pom 05-11-2006 12:13 PM

It's Simon's wedding day. He's sure he loves Rose. Rose is sure she loves Simon. Everyone else thinks it's a mistake. Rose gives her new sisters pearls her parents inadvertantly bought for her three Christmases in a row as a sign of letting go of her bitterness towards her parents.

The CamTwins drew mustaches on themselves with permanent marker.

Matt and Sarah weren't going to be able to make it, because their graduation was the next day. Surprise, they're there.

The CamRents each image how the day will unfold. Will they tie the knot, won't they? RevCam has a vision of a dumbed-down Mary appearing to stop the wedding.

Flash forward to the reception. Everyone is standing around. Ruthie has a new Scottish boyfriend who was the only one smart enough to know nail polish remover will erase Sharpie (how MacGuyver).

The DJ calls for the first dance for the bride and groom. Simon and Rose take to the dance floor. A few seconds later her father cuts in. Then the tall guy with a name I can't remember but who is soooo in love with Rose cuts in. And Simon talks to his family about how happy he is that they didn't get married and how Rose will someday marry the other guy because she wants to be married.

Sarah and Matt have an announcement to make, but shouldn't they all wait until tomorrow? Turns out they're expecting twins. Lucy is too. Carlos, "Mary's going to kill me, but we're having twins, too!" The phone rings; a very pregnant Mary just had a feeling Carlos spilled the beans. They laugh and make mention that Mary's graduating tomorrow, too.

Sandy walks through the gate carrying a very uncute baby. She tells Simon they need to talk.

The end.

It's make believe. It's TV. It's a very cheesy tv show, at that. A lot of the stuff on that show wasn't really believable, this isn't anything out of the ordinary.

I realise it's TV & fake & blah blah, but I just don't understand why they would choose to go out like that. My point was that it was stupid, ridiculous, and past believable, even for TV.

Not at the same time, but my aunt had twins then a few years later her brother's wife had twins.

KDAngel 05-11-2006 11:08 PM

Okay, so not the best finale, but we've watched the show for 10yrs now, it was fine.

I think Sandy coming back and not defining exactly what was up was good. I mean that way you can think whatever you want about what'll happen in their make believe tv life next. Maybe the baby was Simon's or maybe she wanted to date Simor or maybe there was crazy problems with Martin and she just wanted a friend. Not knowing that works for me, even though I did want to know in the moment.

I hate the multiple wedding thing. So dumb, but 7th Heaven is corny, so of course they did it. I wish Mary would've actually came home instead of just talking over the phone. I think they just tried to squeeze too much into the finale as far as making things end happily ever after and closing up storylines. Either way, I've enjoyed the show all this time, and I've no real complaints with how it ended. :)

ASUADPi 05-12-2006 01:07 AM

Here's what I thought was lame...

Lucy actually knowing that A) she was pregnant with twins (which she would know that early on) but B) the sex of them!!!!

She wasn't even showing yet! I'm no OB, but don't the sex organs start to form in SECOND TRIMESTER! Lucy was still wearing her size 2 jeans, how the heck would she know she was pregnant with boys?

Am I the only one who doesn't get this?

Taualumna 05-12-2006 01:22 AM

I SO thought that one couple would be having boys, another girls, and another a boy and a girl.

Beverly Mitchell (LUCY) was interviewed in our local paper regarding the finale and the fact that she is getting married. She said that they deliberately left the finale as a cliffhanger so that they can come back with a reunion movie.
