GC Fam. . .

Please pray for my family. My husband, daughter and I are on the way to North Carolina - his 61 year old mother was found dead this morning.

Now for anyone that might be thinking "why are you typing this to us - you should be gone", there's nothing more we can do for her now. I know that she's in heaven, because she was saved. I'm asking for you all to pray for the family - those that may not be saved (because nobody knows when their time will be) and for strength. Her death was totally unexpected, and my husband, her oldest child, is taking it very hard. He and his mother were very close.

Although I haven't met any of you in person, I still consider you my cyber family! Thank you for your prayers; if you don't know how to pray, just pray for our safety and strength, and that in this trying time, that HIS will be done. . .

God Bless,

Barbara

I am asking you all to please pray for my play mother. She is truly an inspiration to me in so many ways, but especially because of her strength. Last year she lost her husband and this past Tuesday she lost her mother. With both deaths she said that the Lord prepared her for what was about to happen,so,she seems to be doing fine and pressing on like a true solider. So,please keep her in your prayers.

Thank You All in Advance.

Paradise359 09-28-2003 11:28 PM

Barbara, Evaclear04 & Dec6, you all are in my prayers. Barbara I will ask Jesus for strength & peace for you and your husband & the family. Dec6 Jesus is already taking care of your "mother", don't worry about her, she's in good hands. Evaclear04 I'm praying for the health of your child & that God may use his servants, the doctors to do all they can to make sure that your son is born healthy!

God be with you all!

De6 09-29-2003 09:53 PM

*I would first like to say a special thank you to,Paradise359.

I come to you all again, but with a prayer request for me.Within the last year or so the Lord has been dealing with me and teaching me how to lean on Him and not man.Yes,it is a tough lesson, because He is teaching me this lesson through my family. It hurts to an unexplainable measure, but I must learn how to trust Him for everything not just one thing. So,please continue to pray for me as I pray for you:)

Thank You All in Advance

blah days

Have you ever just felt out of sorts? That's how I'm feeling today. I guess I'd like some prayers for my sanity. I feel it trying to slip away from me.

Ya know, Soror,

I've had that happen to me before, and it's not a fun feeling. The Bible says whatsoever things are pure, honest, of good report, etc., THINK ON THESE THINGS! And I will still pray that you get back "to the regular Ideal", the one that makes me laugh when I read your posts!

I'd also like to take this time to thank those that prayed for my family during the loss of my mother-in-law. It's still pretty rough going for us, my husband in particular, but I know we'll make it.

evaclear04 10-08-2003 07:51 PM

First I would like to thank all of you that have prayed for my son. I have no doubt and never did that prayers work!

After our most recent sonogram...they have determined that the mass is actually the bottom portion of his left lung. This portion will never be able to function. What they also found was that there has been no fluid build in the chest cavity nor has there been any sign of heart failure! In fact his heart sounds good and healthy! There has been no defect found so far with any of his other organs. The mass has grown just a little bit...but in comparison to his weight gain (1lb 13oz) it was not a significant amount. We even got to see his face in color (4d imaging). He is absolutly beautiful! He has his father's nose ( poor suga!).
Again I want to thank everyone for your prayers and ask that you continue to pray for him. We still have some ways to go... but we will persevere by the grace and guidance of God.

Work Place Prayer Request

One of my co workers was hit by a car this weekend and is critical condition with life threatening injuries.

Another co worker's Daddy is having emergency open heart surgery today.

In your quiet time please remember my friends. I love both these girls.

Please pray for the family and friends of the 16 soldiers that died in the helicopter crash.

Also, keep Sgt. Bucklew's (one of the 16 that died ) family in prayer as well. Sgt. Bucklew was on his way home to attend his mother's funeral when he perished, so now, his family is dealing with two losses with one week. I know they must be overwhelmed with grief.

The hospital says she's in stable but very critical condition. :( At least she's stable. HR should be talking to her family today to get a better update.

Thanks everyone for your concern and prayers. It was really sad here yesterday. :(

ETA:

Her manager talked to her parents. She has a severed shoulder, a broken leg and a crushed pelvis. She is breathing with the help of a respirator. She had surgery yesterday and has another one today. She has a LONG road ahead of her. She's very lucky to be alive. I didn't mention this yesterday but she's only 24 years old.

Yes they did. He turned himself in. He was not at fault...he had the light. She was with a group of friends about to cross the street and saw the car coming. They decided to wait for him to pass. She thought she could make it.

**sisterfriends/brotherfriends do not take chances like this. Wait for the dang car to pass. No one should be in that much of a hurry**

Do you know where they were going? TO THE CLUB!!! Those of you in NY/NJ it was Club Abyss.

Hey everybody.
Eventhough I didn't post to let everyone know. I am so happy my grandfather got out of the hospital today.

School sometimes seems overbearring, and it feels like no one is on myside. In a post someone prayed for sanity, I have prayed for you, I have also prayed for sanity for my self. The other day I was worring about a whole lot of things, so I opened my bible, and came across, Matt 6:25-34, that passage speaks of worring (sp?). One of my friends e-mailed me a bunch of scriptures to read for specific reasons...should I post them? or If you would like to read them I can e-mail them to you...just pm me.

I will keep all sister/member friends in my prayers.

Honeykiss1974 11-05-2003 02:33 PM

Your prayers will be appreciated....

~ Please pray my friends Leon and Janelle. Their infant daughter passed way last night in the hospital. They still do not know the cause. Please pray for God to comfort this young family during this period of grief.

~Please pray for the Peete family. My friend's mother has been in a coma since Saturday. Although her internal organs are fine, during this "state of unresponsiveness" - as the doctors refer to it, during the first week she suffered a stroke and they have detected some bleeding in her brain. As of today, she's not breathing on her own, so technically, she's brain dead. We serve a God who is JEHOVAH-ROPHE (The Lord Who Heals) so I know Mrs. Peete can come out of this unharmed and well.

Thank you and God bless.

Honeykiss1974 11-09-2003 05:06 PM

Never stop Praying..

I wanted to post this news story as a reminder that no matter what the situation is, God is always working. Even in the midnight hour when it seems that there is no hope - remember, God is ALWAYS in control of the situation.

TODDLER REVIVED AFTER BEING DEAD FOR TWO HOURS!

FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) - A toddler who was revived nearly two hours after she was believed to have drowned and 40 minutes after doctors had declared her dead was responding to touch and sound, hospital officials said.

Twenty-month-old Mackayala Jespersen was in critical condition but responsive on Saturday, a day after she was found in her family's swimming pool, said Children's Hospital of Orange County spokeswoman Denise Almazan.

The little girl's family thanked the public for their ``prayers and support,'' Almazan said.

Mackayala's mother found her floating face down in the backyard pool Friday morning, police Sgt. Sean Fares said. Police and paramedics tried to revive her and rushed her to Anaheim Memorial Medical Center, where doctors pronounced her dead.

Forty minutes later, police Detective Mike Kendrick was conducting a routine investigation into the death when he noticed Mackayala's chest was moving. He summoned doctors, who were able to revive her.

"It was a very emotional moment for everyone,'' said Fullerton Police spokesman Sgt. Ron Gillett. ``We thought she didn't make it and then she did. It was the lowest of the lows and the highest of the highs.''

Mackayala was later transferred to Children's Hospital. Anaheim Memorial Medical Center spokeswoman Gina Esparza declined to comment Saturday.

Mark Langdorf, chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of California, Irvine, said it is not uncommon for toddlers to survive drownings after showing little or no signs of life, especially if the water is cold.

What was unusual in Mackayala's case, he said, was the time involved.

"If you had said she came back to life after 10 minutes I would be surprised, but 40 minutes is just exceptional,'' he said.

I am asking for prayer for my mother. After being in a very bad marriage (emotionally) she has left my father. Please pray that all the stress is removed from her life. Also, please pray for my uncle (her oldest brother) who is in the hospital with kidney failure and severe pneumonia. Thanks.

evaclear04 11-12-2003 05:40 PM

Update....

All praises to God! When you believe in Him you should have nothing to worry about!
I have been to my perinatal specialist and my son is now 3.2lbs (and i still have 2 months to go!) and is doing good. The mass (which they have now determined is pulmonary sequestration) has not grown significantly and is not causing any distress to the rest of his organs in his chest cavity. His lungs are practicing to breathe which is an extremly blessing because it was something we were concerned with. Everything else looks good.
So ....so far so good! I just want to thank everyone who said a prayer or even had my son in your thoughts. And i ask that you continue to pray...because i know they work!

1savvydiva 11-12-2003 05:51 PM

I want to request your prayers for my grandmother in Baltimore. I heard today that she had a colonoscopy and they found a growth in her abdomen. The could not get it out during that procedure, so they have scheduled her for surgery the first week of December. They don't know if it is malignant or benign at this time, but I just want to solicit some prayers for my G-Ma from my favorite online peeps.

Thanks! :D

Eclipse 12-13-2003 12:29 PM

Good morning...

I'd like for all of the faithful of GreekChat to please pray for my mother. She had valve (as in heart) replacement surgery on Thursday and as a result of her asthma and the fact that her lungs were expanded they were not able to close her chest. She is on a respirator (sp?) right now and they have given her heavy setatives that have basically paralized her so she does not move. The doctors felt like it would be 3 - 5 days before the lungs went down enough for them to close her up. We are desparately praying for her because we believe God still has a work for her to do on this earth. I would appreciate it if you guys would pray too!!

Thanks!

Paradise359 12-13-2003 05:11 PM

I'm sorry to hear of your mother's condition. But remember, God is truly Able. I'm praying for you and your family and that you'll have good news to share with us soon about your mom's recovery.

...stay strong.
