My grandmother is from Nashville and she was an AOII at UTK and so was her mother. My great-grandfather was a FIJI at UTK. I use to go away to camp in Winchester, TN for 9 summers and now I live 45 minutes South of Memphis. Does that count? (I mean I was born and raised in New Orleans)

I'm a Vandy ADPi in the Zeta Rho chapter! I was raised in Wichita, KS, but I find myself becoming more Southern since I've been in Nashville...I recently found myself explaining to my brother why "y'all" is better than "you all"!

PinkBliss, I'd make sure to get ahold of your local Alumnae Panhellenic this summer. As someone who rushed w/o recs(no legacies, and I think the closest active AP is in KC, 3 hours away), I'd advise it. Every girl seems to have a mother or grandmother who has rounded up recs for her to every house.

I'm an ADPi at the Univ. of TN in Martin. I was born and raised TN all 19. As a side note, my best friend from high school is also an ADPi at UT Knoxville.

My best friend's mom is an ADPi alum from Martin! His sister is there now, but she's independent. I think she'll be a sophomore.

I am a Chi Omega at MTSU and have lived in TN all of my life.

Oh, by the way, for New Member Retreat last weekend we went to LaFollette (near Knoxville). I had never been to East TN before, and it was a 235 mile drive EACH WAY and we only stayed one night. I had to drive both ways cuz I was the only old member in my car. It was lots of fun though cuz we were out on the lake all day swimming, listening to music, jumping off pontoon boats... LOL. :)

Lemme tell ya though- I am sick of driving through & looking at mountains!!! :rolleyes: Even though I grew up in West Virginia, I moved to TN when I was 15 so I'd never DRIVEN in the mountains before LOL. The Nashville area is sooooo flat compared to the Knoxville area. No wonder we always get tornadoes here. I'm glad to be back in I don't think I'll be considering UTK for Grad School now. LOL.

To OldSigmaChi: Oh my gosh! The world is indeed very small! My dad's family is from Crossville, and that's where we moved after he retired from the air force... I think I'll PM you too!

Although originally from Little Rock, I am a Teke at Christian Brothers University in Memphis. One of my fraternity brother's has an older brother who's a Sigma Chi at UT-knoxville.

I grew up in Woodbury, TN and Clarksville, TN. Except for my time at Ole Miss, I have always lived and loved Tennessee... I went to MTSU as well.

I am from Shelbyville, TN...but I go to Ole Miss. my sister went to ut..she is a DG.

I've grown up in Greenfield, TN (Northwest TN, near UT - Martin). I'm currently in Jackson, TN at Union University where I am obviously an ATO. And just to make myself feel good, where I have only 9 more hours left until I'm done. :)

I was born and raised in Nashville, and now I'm a Phi Mu (Kappa Nu) at Lambuth University in Jackson, TN.

My mom was born and raised in Ripley, TN and then was a Zeta Tau Alpha(Delta Mu) @ UTM (on a side note, i found her badge this weekend, it was kinda cool to see that)

My brother was also born and raised in Nashville and then was a SigEp(TN Epsilon) @ Tennessee Tech.

I've lived in Harriman, TN my whole life, and now I'm up at UT Knoxville, and I'm rushing in the fall! :)

I am a Yankee by birth, but in my heart, the south is my home. I am a Phi Delta Theta alum from Belmont University in Nashville. I'm not currently living in Tennessee, but plan to move back in the near future. I fell in love with Nashville when I moved there for school, and plan to spend the rest of my life (or the majority of it) living there.

Well I'm from the MD/DC area but I live in Nashville now and attend Meharry Medical College.

I'm a Que but I was made in MD.
