I loovveeeee Lilly. Even my bedding is Lilly. I have already bought a dress for the summer (Sabrina with the pineapple print) Everyone in Wilson thinks I fell off of a fruit truck or something...its just not that big here, but I am ok looking like a fruitcake. My lobster fall pants really get some weird looks
|
You can't get Lilly in Canada (yet), but I did manage to buy one when I was in New York back in the summer. It's an adorable summer dress, blue-ish, with traditional Lilly prints. :)

Since I last posted on the topic
I acquired a couple of Lilly breast cancer scarves, including:
http://i10.ebayimg.com/03/i/03/1e/f8/2d_1_b.JPG and this bag: http://i14.ebayimg.com/01/i/03/35/f2/40_1_b.JPG Also a couple of green T-shirts (grass and guava green). |
Hmm,I have never heard of Lilly Pulitzer before GC.
I guess I'll have to check it out in Shadyside, which means going there for something OTHER than Sephora...which I can play in for HOURS by the way. |

OK, I've looked around the Lilly website, and you know what... the dresses do look like tablecloths! You wouldn't catch me dead in them. Good thing I didn't rush in the south :p

BUMP!
My graduation dress
I'm not sure which pattern I'm going to get--but that's going to be my gift to myself for getting out of this hellhole once and for all! :D |

Gotta love the Lilly
I love my Lilly dress!
Lilly is such a fun, sunny designer. Her prints are so happy-looking. |
My dress
My dress is pretty similar to the one the lady with the sweater around her shoulders is wearing: http://www.lillypulitzer.com/gallery...e0417e3&page=1

ok...I need some help.
Usually I wear all my Lilly's with flipflops...ultra casual. I have to go to a graduation and luncheon in May and I want to wear my Gina shift in the Flamingo Pink. What type of shoes and bag? Gotta make a good impression!! :D |

I'm thinking about heading down to the Lilly store this weekend to look at the skirts...I don't know if I could pull off a dress, but I think the simple skirt is pretty cute. |

Cute skirts out...I don't really like the 60's looking stuff...more into the classics. Does anyone have any suggestions for keeping the strapless Sabrina dresses up...I have had one for years and never hardly ever wear it because my 36 C's won't stay in it..the dress fits, but the back always loosens up |

i thought it was white after Easter and before Labor Day....
How about a bag...I have a Bermuda bag, but I don't want Lilly overkill...Lilly is good only in small doses. |
Got my bag...its a Lilly, but not a printed one (at least on the outside) Its straw and has a large white flower on it..just what I was looking for and it will be great for the summer. The print on the inside can not be seen.

Plain white--never unless you're the bride (or the white shoes in question are sneakers or flip-flops). Or at least that's the gist of what's said in New Times in the Old South (Or Why Scarlett's in Therapy and Tara's Going Condo), the sequel to A Southern Belle Primer (Or Why Princess Margaret Will Never Be a Kappa Kappa Gamma). Gotta love the Marlyn Schwartz. |

these are really cute thongs with kitten heels and a bunch of little leather flowers at the strap....now if they still have them.... I can't find New Times in the Old South anywhere...I always look for it when I am bookstore shopping. Guess I will have to rely on what Mom taught me. :) |
Depressing.
I have only one Lilly dress, bought before rush in 2001. I want more, but the closest retailer is in Tulsa, which I don't have time for the drive during the semester.
Do you guys know of anyway to get a hard copy of the catalog without going to a retailer? (Which is weird, since you wouldn't need a catalog if they carry the line.) |

Go to the site (www.lillypulitzer.com) and it will bring up some signature stores...some of them allow you to order from the site. You can also sign up to be on the mailing list and get the catalogs in the mail. |
Y'all are evil. Evil evil evil. I'd never even paid attention to things like Vera Bradley and Lilly Pulitzer until GC.
I just bought this on eBay: http://kdotp.tripod.com/lilly.jpg |

I know this thread is old but there was no point in starting a new one.
I've known about LP for a few years but she's not that popular here in Nor Cali. Macy's used to carry her line but stopped about a year or so ago. I really didn't get into her designs until recently. I think her designs are what i like to call "mood wear". I have to be in a certain mood to wear them. Anywho, I'm getting this http://s3.amazonaws.com/inthepink/im...oom_medium.jpg and this http://s3.amazonaws.com/inthepink/im...255_medium.jpg now that they are on sale:D |
So cute! I love Lilly!
|
Has anyone smelled her fragrances?

As for my own Lilly, I have shoes and a few casual pieces. I like her 50th anniversary Jubilee collection and have lost enough weight that I could maybe consider any silk jersey pieces. |
At Tuesday Morning I bought a duvet cover, dust ruffle and pillow shams for 75% off. I think they were last year's pattern but who cares. What a deal!!

I decorated my bedroom last year with Ocean Drive--got it at a closeout store and I love it! I've been collecting more pillows, so my bed is just the way I like it. Also, Lilly is very easy to score at TJMaxx; sometimes Filene's Basement too. |

I just got an amazing pink and white stripped lilly dress at the Saks outlet Off Fifth, its adorable and was a steal so that store may be worth checking out too
|
I haven't been Marshall's in years but the one day (yesterday) I decided to cruise through there, they had Lilly shoes. And the ONLY reason I saw them from across the store was because of the box. With the green handle. :D I didn't buy them but now that I know they carry Lilly, I'll check more often.

Sororitees
Apparently, Lilly is offering letter shirts for certain sororities:
http://www.lillypulitzer.com/SororiTEE/icat/sororitee Perhaps they'll expand to other organizations depending on the demand?! Just thought I'd pass it along since I know recruitment season is upon us! :D |
