My favorite Christmas Cartoons are:

*Rudolph the Rednose Reindeer~ It is just not Christmas until I see that cartoon.

* Frosty the Snowman~ I love the parade they have in the cartoon. But I breakdown when he melts away.:(

* Charlie Brown's Christmas~ I really have a soft spot for Charlie Brown. A lot of times I wish Snoopy would just bite the hell out that Lucy, she is such a bully.

It's on now!! :D

I'm so  that I missed Charlie Brown Christmas!! I had two emergency clients come in right when I was about to sit down in the lounge with my Sam's Choice Chipotle Cheddar crackers and my Diet Redpop!!! That's OK, I'm getting the Charlie Brown Holiday Collection on DVD tomorrow at Target!!

I have A Christmas Story on DVD!! Also, last Christmas Hubby and I made a Christmas Cartoon tape with the following shows:

Frosty The Snowman
Frosty Returns
Frosty's Winter Wonderland (where he marries the snowwoman)
Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer
The Year Without A Santa Claus (Heat/Snow Miser)
How The Grinch Stole Christmas

I have to think of the rest, I'll post them later!!

Here are some...

What about "A Disney Channel Christmas", where they show all these Christmas Disney cartoon clips; some of you may have seen the abridged version on NBC, which includes "Mickey's Christmas Carol", and the cartoon with Mickey, Pluto, and Chip and Dale, which to this day I die laughing over. But anyways, good stuff, good stuff....

The Santa Clause I like, its sequel is, well, a'ight.

What about Santa Claus, the movie with Dudley Moore as chief elf Patch, who leaves the North Pole to team us with evil toymaker B.Z. (John Lithgow). I liked it.

For all you cult movie lovers, there's a cheap Mexican movie also called Santa Claus (1959) which MST3K riffed on and it was HEE-LARIOUS.

Who here have seen Santa Claus Conquers the Martians (1964) featuring a 7 year old Pia Zadora as Girmar the martian and other martians such as Kimar (chief martian), Voldar (evil martian) and Dropo (goofy martian).

Funniest MST3K line in the movie:

Voldar: All this trouble over a fat little man in a red suit.
Robot watching the movie: Truman Capote?

ETA: Yogi's First Christmas (1980) Yogi and Boo-Boo awake from hibernation to find that Ranger Smith and the whole HB gang is celebrating Christmas and keeping the owner from selling the Jellystone Park lodge. Rivals include Snively (owner's nephew) and Herman the Hermit (" 'dem Christmas DUDES!"). Great cartoon special.

CrimsonTide4 11-25-2005 08:22 PM

The Christmas Story comes on tonight at 8 on Turner South. :D

jitterbug13 11-25-2005 09:19 PM

Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer will be on 11/30 at 8 p.m. :D

christiangirl 11-25-2005 10:17 PM

I don't know if anyone remembers, but there was a cartoon movie about 2 little bears who tried to skip hibernation so they could see when Santa Claus came. It was the equivalent of staying up all night I guess. It was so cool, it gave me "warm fuzzies." :)

StarFish106 11-28-2005 05:34 PM

Oh, some like it hot, but I like it REALLY hot! Hee hee

(pimp theme music)

I'm Mister Green Christmas
I'm Mister Sun
I'm Mister Heat Blister
I'm Mister Hundred and One
They call me Heat Miser,
What ever I touch
Starts to melt in my clutch
I'm too much!

He's Mister Green Christmas
He's Mister Sun
He's Mister Heat Blister
He's Mister Hundred and One

They call me Heat Miser,
What ever I touch
Starts to melt in my clutch

He's too much!

Thank you!
I never want to see a day
That's under sixty degrees
I'd rather have it eighty,
Ninety, one hundred degrees!
(spoken)
Oh, some like it hot, but I like it
REALLY hot! Hee hee!

He's Mister Green Christmas
He's Mister Sun (Sing it!)

He's Mister Heat Blister
He's Mister Hundred and One

They call me Heat Miser,
What ever I touch
Starts to melt in my clutch
I'm too much!
Too Much!
******************************
Sing it Frosty!

I'm Mister White Christmas
I'm Mister Snow
I'm Mister Icicle
I'm Mister Ten Below
Friends call me Snow Miser,
What ever I touch
Turns to snow in my clutch
I'm too much!

He's Mister White Christmas
He's Mister Snow

[Snow Miser]

That's right!

He's Mister Icicle
He's Mister Ten Below

[Snow Miser]

Friends call me Snow Miser,
What ever I touch
Turns to snow in my clutch
[Chorus]

He's too much!

[Snow Miser]

I never want to see a day
That's over forty degrees
I'd rather have it thirty,
Twenty, ten, five and let it freeeeEEEEEEeeze!

[Chorus]

He's Mister White Christmas
He's Mister Snow

[Snow Miser]

That's right!

[Chorus]

He's Mister Icicle
He's Mister Ten Below

[Snow Miser]

What ever I touch
Turns to snow in my clutch

Which version do you like best?

The 1947 version with Edmund Gwenn
The 1973 version with Sebastian Cabot (and former Good Morning America host David Hartman)
The 1994 version with Richard Attenborough.

DST4A00 11-30-2005 12:07 AM

1. A Christmas Story, for all the reasons mentioned above. I will watch all 24 hours of it on TNT except the ones I miss while I'm in church.

2. A Charlie Brown Christmas

3. Scrooged, THERE IS NO OTHER INTERPRETATION OF A CHRISTMAS CAROL THAT I WILL WATCH except maybe A Muppet Christmas Carol.:D

4. A Garfield Christmas

5. A Claymation Christmas

6.Rudolph, The Red-nosed Reindeer

7. Miracle on 34th Street, THE ORIGINAL ONLY

8. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. When Clark went down that hill with that greased up sled, I damn near pissed my pants.:D And when they fried that cat....ROTFLMAO and I'm a cat lover.

9. The Nightmare Before Christmas. Even though I've only seen it once.

The Christmas movie I avoid like the plague is It's A Wonderful Life. I HATE THIS MOVIE. I WISH HE HAD JUMPED!

I love when they have the 24 hr marathon of the Christmas Story on TNT or TBS..I love when popz pulls that Leg Lamp outta the boz and puts that mess in the window! Or National Lampoons's Christmas Vacation when Clark cuts into that dry ass turkey and that mess deflates and the jello mold that's got foreign objects in it!

christiangirl 11-27-2007 12:38 AM

The Christmas special for Eureka's Castle. I'll never forget how scared I was when Magellan got lost looking or a Christmas tree. I don't know how long ago that was, but it lives on in my heart. :D

Sorry for the thread crash, but I'm wondering if this is worth watching, from anyone who caught it the first time 'round?
