I'm a Dee Gee at Morehead State, and right now our song is definitely I love rock n roll....but we changed the lyrics. At the chorus we sing, I love delta g. We did it for recruitment this year, and it was a HUGE success. We also like Sweet Home Alabama (Delta Gamma). But finally, our OFFICIAL song is "The Dog"...everyone on campus knows to move out the way when it comes on. We have our own dance and everything.
Also, I was noticing everyone talking about YO HOE. I'm a Theta Chi lavalier here, and they do what I'm guessing would be a version of that, but it's called Ya Hoot. lol  |
This is ours as well....words changed for D Phi E of course :)

Come on Eileen & I Will Survive |
Our song that we always broke it down to was "Come on Eileen". More Sigma Kappas should listen to that song very closely!:D

MAGIC CARPET RIDE
Baby!!!! our chapter also like to sing alive by pearl jam......replace "i'm still alive" with "i'm Lambda Chi" but Ya Ho and titty titty are classics |
My chapter likes to sing "Piano Man" by Billy Joel.

But let us never forget the ever popular Cake cover of I Will Survive, nor should we overlook Tony Clifton's version of it either.

One of our songs is Nelly "Must Be The Money" We have our words we sing to. Anytime we have a mixer or we are all out together, we lock arms and sing. Fun times.
ZTA ".......................love the greatest of all things" |
Our Pi Phi chapter's "song" over the last ten years or so has been Dancing Queen... not sure if there was one before this or not..
the words were changed one rush so it just kind of stuck I guess.. |
I think Theta Chi has a midnight serenade. :)
