Just stopping in to check on GC while I wait for files to download from the old GC server.

So how long did that take?

Just for the downloads, maybe an hour. Not really sure as when there's a bunch to be downloaded I'll usually organize them on the server then get that batch of downloading started while I'm doing something else.

I’m at work on the nightshift I wanted. Which is good…but today, they turned the heat on in the building. So, it’s about 80 degrees in here and it’s putting me to sleep.

Post and read up on GC is pretty much the only thing I do on the nightshift... and the nightshift is the only time I have to go on GC, which is why I only post on monday night and tuesday night lol

Thinking about Norway, where it's now 420am.

I’m up because my ankle is hurting really bad. :(

So, I bought another pair of shoes for work (I know, I have a ton) and they hurt. It seems like all or more of my favorite shoes I wear for work become really uncomfortable when I’m standing in them all day at work. They look cute but they sure don’t feel that way. And then like my really comfortable shoes like my Hokas feel great but my God are they hideous looking.

The ankle pain woke me up. The shoes hurt but the cute pet paws on them are the cutest.

Add some pet paws to the Hokas. I love my Hokas. You have to wear what's comfy when you're on your feet all day. Most shoes are going to be uncomfortable when you're on your feet all day. When I was in patient care, I could barely walk at the end of the day.

I love my Hokas though.

Hokas are very comfortable but they are like so ugly. So, I have a pair of these work shoes and my new ones look like them but with paws instead. They both are uncomfortable but they’re so cute. They just hurt so bad when I’m standing all day. I couldn’t wear them today. I just couldn’t.

Ohh.. I like those colors. But they still have that look that I don’t really like. Other than comfort the only other benefit I get from wearing my Hokas is that they make me look taller than I actually am, lol.

I love that about mine too. I used to be almost 5'3" but with age, I'm only 5'1" now and the Hokas help me feel taller. I think they also make it easier to walk. They help spring back or something- I swear I walk faster in them.

I’m 5’3” too, Dee. When I was a cheerleader in high school and college, I was our team flyer because I was so short compared to the rest of my team.

Spent the evening doing some GC server maintenance. Just finishing up now and figured I would pop in here for a moment before logging off for the night.

Some more GC server maintenance. Bots seem to have taken down the web server software earlier tonight, but nothing broken. Was just too much traffic. Had to take GC offline for a bit. Checking on backups now.

Because time zones are real and relative. Also I usually go to bed after midnight.

This is PB on his road trip tomorrow, but he ain’t looking at the chick. PB is looking at the car LOL!

Bots knocked GC offline a few hours ago. So I shut things down temporarily while doing various upgrades, backups, etc. Just finishing up now. Opened GC back up maybe 5 minutes ago and there's already 8000+ showing up in the "online users" section again.
