CSU Long Beach had an Alpha Delta Chi chapter when I was a student 40 years ago, but it's now inactive. One of my neighbors is an alumna of the UCLA chapter which closed recently. :( |

While these are chapters local to several SUNYs, Sigma Gamma Phi (Arethusa) has sadly closed their chapters at SUNY Potsdam and SUNY Geneseo. Geneseo's chapter had been active since 1892. There are now only 2 active chapters left of this sorority.
|
So Arkansas Alpha Phi had their bid day today! I'll be lurking their page to see how many they got for their charter class!

So as everyone knows, St John's-Staten Island closed. However, the 2 IFC chapters Alpha Phi Delta and Kappa Sigma were moved to St John's-Queens campus. I do wonder what happened with the Theta Phi Alpha members if they transferred to main campus.

Sigma Sigma Sigma had a chapter on the Staten Island campus, but not the Queens campus. I was hoping that the chapter would move to the Queens campus, but, so far, it does not look like that happened. |
Kappa Sigma has been closed at Virginia Commonwealth University. Closure is due to RMF and hazing allegations.

It looks as though Ceres International Sorority, an agricultural-based organization, has disbanded. The organization was down to two active chapters, University of Wisconsin-Plattville and South Dakota State University.
In an article about the SDSU chapter closing, it says that the international organization had also closed. There is no longer an active website or FB page for Ceres International. https://sdsucollegian.com/27721/news...nity-disbands/ |

LaneSig, how are you able to find which campuses are open to expansion? Do they usually announce on their websites or should I just follow every single university's FSL instagram pages?
Also, Sigma Iota Sigma is chartering a new chapter in Rockland County |
Two new campuses have opened up for expansion:
Iona University(NY)- previously opened Shenandoah University(VA)- new FSL system (?); I found a chapter of Phi Kappa Sigma existed briefly from 1997-1999. I cannot find any existence of an NPC or NPHC group having been on campus |

I guess after the fiasco with wanting to make the locals go national, the figured just add on chapters and leave the locals alone. Montclair state has a similar set up. |
