I met Tom in person. He bought me a 6 pack of beer and was like what's the matter you can't keep up? I don't think I had eaten anything yet that day. "It's 10AM, Tom, I'm usually not drinking at this hour" I replied.

Sorry to learn this. He was indeed one of a kind! I admired his staunch loyalty to Lambda Chi Alpha. RIP Tom.

I haven't tuned in to GC for a long time so I totally missed this. He and I chatted occasionally about Pitt State.
(I didn't realize he was as old as he was -- born in 1942.)

So sad to hear of Tom’s passing. I am a GCer going back 20+ years, and he was always kind to me.

I’m another who checks in at GC pretty rarely these days. I’m so sorry to read of Tom’s illness and death. May he rest in peace, and here’s hoping that Warren Albert Cole and Jack Mason were waiting to greet him.
