I can't remember which cellphone company came up with this one, but it's a favorite in our house. Man and wife are standing in front of an overheated car. Wife looks at husband and says, "I'll just use the cell phone you got me for Christmas to call for help." She stops to look at him, as hubby looks on without a clue... then "Oh, that's right...you didn't get me a cell phone. You got me a waffle iron!" Then she says, "Hey, I know, I'll use the big fluffy towels you got me to send smoke signals."
Cracks me up every time :) |
joe boxer ads!
Here's another vote for the JoeBoxer ads featuring Vaughn Lowery...
Of course, I'm also a big fan of the Gap "Keep It Loose" ad that featured Will Kemp dancing to "Stuff like that"! Oooh! |
snowman
I love the melting snowman commerical. He is singing Air Supply-the "I'm All Out of Love" song. It was hilarious when the dog ate his nose that fell off. I can't remember what it was for though.

There is a really good cell phone commercial up here (i think it's for Rogers-AT&T) where there is a shot of a coast guard ship and the guy inside is saying "i'm telling you for the last time this number is for emergency use only", the shot then switches to two elves and santa sitting on a capsized sled with one of the elves saying to the other "Fisherman; i told you to tell him we're fisherman" and at the very end the second elf says "oh that urkey dinners not sitting to good" I think this is one of the funniest commercials i have seen all Christmas season.

I love this one commercial where the woman is spraying a manniqin(sp) with some good smelling stuff and then other girl comes along and is cozying up to him and the 1st girl turns around and goes "I KNOW you ain't touching my manniquin!"
that is so damn funny! |
I don't know remember if it's office max or whatever, but there is a VERY cute commercial where little kids are dressed up and acting like adults - sitting in business meetings, answering phones etc. Then they show them running around office max and the announcer says it's like being a kid again (or something to that extent). Very cute!

It isn't a new commercial but I enjoy the one for Staples office supplies. It has the dad dancing in the aisle with a shopping cart to It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year, while getting school supplies for his kids.

i love the snapple commercials where they have the accessories on the bottles :) how histerical!
i also adore the MasterCard commercials with the whole "thingamajig: $499. second thingamajig: $224. third thingamajig: $5. something or other: priceless..." some of them are nice but my all time FAVORITE commercial is definately the air freshener one where the father comes out of the bathroom and the little girl walks in, makes the most histerically funny "ew this smells" face, runs to tell her mom (where she makes another funny face and points to her dad who is walking down the hall) then her mom sprays some kind of spray and the little girl makes an ugly "ahh, relief" face and they freeze the camera....anyone with a particularly stinky father (like me) TOTALLY understands this commercial! i nearly DIED the first time i saw it! i feel the need to insert a funny story about a commercial my friends made up for a theater class excercise- This was at about the time the GAP commercials with the people singing were popular...so they got all dressed up and sang "The Wheels on the Bus" line by line in those sultry voices like the actors on the commercials...then thy finished it with "GAP in your teeth jeans...RIDE THE BUS" we all thought they should sell it to the company hahaha |
I like the cellphone one where the women are at a garage sale, and one is looking at this little frog statue. The other doesn't like it, but the first woman sends a picture over the phone to a guy in a suit. He appears very impressed and says that it is the IVORY TOAD OF SHANGHAI. That cracks me up every time.

Ah the innocence of being young again!:D |
I absolutely love The Home Depot commercial where the little girl is sitting on Santa's lap and starts listing off what she wants for Christmas. The way she says, "A 7 amp, 13 inch circular saw with a case" is sooo adorable! She has the cutest little chubby cheeks, too. I get so happy when it comes on. I love kids! :)

Heineken
There's a Heineken commercial where you see a building from the outside and it looks like it's snowing.
Then they show the inside with a bunch of guys with ties, glasses, balding heads (your typical bean counting accountant I guess) shredding a lot of documents. So it wasn't really snow outside but cut up paper. Then a voice says something like "To all those who've been naughty this season." -Rudey --And it's Heineken!!! |
The Nike Shox commercial with the naked man running down the soccer field! I crack up everytime I see it!
The H&R Block commercial with Willie Nelson..."My face is burnin'!" |
I haven't seen this one in a while. It's a Budweiser or Bud Light commercial. There's two guys in a supermarket who are obviously college kids. They have no money. When they go to ring up their purchases, they realize they must decide between either buying the beer or a roll of toiler paper. They decide on the beer. The bag boy asks, "Paper or plastic?" and the guys shout, "PAPER!" The cashier asks if they want a receipt and the guys snatch it out of her hands. Absolutely hilarious.

I LOVE the Molson Ice (i think) Commercial where the guy is drinking a beer at the bar.. and the friend comes up and says hey what are you drinking.. and he shows that is the "I'm Not Wearing Any Underwear" Beer .. and his friend asks for a "I'm sleeping with ***'s girlfriend on the side and he doesn't know it" Beer.. and the bartender says "sorry, we're out." As the friend sits dumbfounded!
|
Molson has some really good commercials. Up here there big campaign for the last couple of years has been "I Am Canadian". They've had everything from a rant about being Canadian to Commercials about Hockey. Most of the time the Commercials take hits at the US.
Some of Molson's "I AM" commercials |
