I find out thursday which houses im going back to for second rounds! ( it will be 8 houses at MOST)

Tomorrow is the BIG DAY! I SO cannot wait to see which houses I go back to for Second Rounds! I'll post tomorrow night after our meeting!! :D

Ok guys...just got back from my meeting and I found out which houses of my top 8 asked me back....and ALL OF THEM DID! :D Well...kind of. This happened to a lot of the girls in my group... there was one group that I was paired with that I hadn't put in my top 8...by no means was this sorority LAST on my list, but it wasn't in my top 8. And my number 4 choice, I didn't get at all. Which sort of confused me. Maybe the one that I got that wasn't in my top 8 didn't get a lot of requests to go back?...which would be a logical explaination as far as numbers go, but I don't see why a lot of women wouldnt choose that particular house...I think it was my number 9...it was SO hard to choose!!! Anyone have any ideas?

no, I stand corrected. I must have missed this post. Maybe my number 4 didn't ask me back..and to fill the hole, I got my number 9 choice? Well...still thats interesting...because there were girls that were not asked back to their top3..which made me kinda sad :( ..ones taht they really liked...and then they might have gotten the rest of their 8..so they were only invited back to 5 of 8. Maybe this system is a big mix of a lot of systems. :p

Saturday:

Kappa Kappa Gamma

Then on Saturday night we rank our top 3 for preferences which is where we go on Sunday...and then Bid Day is on MONDAY! :D :D

Thanks for letting us know where you are returning too! This year when we were doing our chants the pnm groups would sometimes chant back and yell with us outside the door before they came in! It was so cute and fun, and got everyone really pumped up for the party! Okay - here's my chant too! Just gotta share!

I love reading the lyrics to different sororities' songs! Do we all have a version of "Pass It On"? Heaven help you if you aren't a soprano on this one. :rolleyes: I'm surprised I didn't pass out trying to hit those high notes! :eek:

Round II at UT is the philanthropy round, which we didn't have when I was an active. It was all skits, all the time! (Except for pref.)

I just loved reading all those chants and being a former song leader I had to add mine in:

Ok..yesterday (friday) was first day of second rounds..in which I went to two parties. Today..in like an hour!..I have my final day of second rounds, in which I will attend 6 houses. One house from yesterday REALLY stood out...so we will see :) Wish me luck!:D

ALright --just finished with second rounds...my top 3 houses are as follows.. and again, in no particular order:

Kappa Kappa Gamma
Pi Beta Phi
Sigma Kappa

Tonight I will find out which I am invited to for pref rounds tomorrow!:D :) :D

I have a question: So you only put your top three choices down that you want to go back to pref for. But what if only one of those three, or none of those three invite you back? but other ones that you didn't put down do. are you automatically dropped from rush?
If i am not clear, here's an example:

If pattypnm went to six parties, ABC, DEF, HIJ, KLM,NOP, QRS. Without getting her invites back, she ranks ABC, DEF, HIJ to go back to for pref. But out of that only HIJ out of that list ACTUALLY invites her back- and KLM and NOP do invite her back...can she go back to all 3 or onlu HIJ?

I think this is the weirdest way of doing rush. How can you cut an org that hasn't extended you anything? or how can you bank on an org extending you something?

we ranked 1-14 again.... and the rho gammas that i talked to said to forsure make your top 3 your absolute top 3. then if only 2 of the 3 ask you back, they will go to your next match..and so on. but they said to basically put the ones that you ranked low last time and the ones that didnt ask you back towards the bottom, as you would probably have a much better chance with ones that you wanted in your top 8 from last time.--(as most of them saw you in second rounds.) if that makes any sense...im so tired from today, im just sort of trailing off :p
