Missy and Aaliyah ....................I guess were really really close. On every appearance almost she mentions Aaliyah or has something on pertaining to her. I'm going to check out Yahoo launch and see if I can catch this video.

I missed the making the video. I like the video . Did any one spot the two famous people she was so excited about having. I saw Halle Berry, and tweet. But I am still looking for someone else also. I really like the car hood. And the little girls who are dancing. I found out missy lost 56 pounds :):p

I saw Tweet but I thought the other person was a Halle look-alike. The only other famous peson was Timbaland but I'm used to seeing him in Missy's videos. There was the fake Prince though.

On another note, I guessed I missed this the first time I saw the video, did anyone spot that when she says "I need to shave my !&$@# that she has a pile of hair in her hand" :eek: That was a little too much for me.

And by the way Toni Braxton also has a new video out called "Hit the Freeway" with Loon. The video is nice and she's even 3 months preganant in the video but you can't tell. I hear she has a new beef with Jay-Z (who doesn't these days) because they both have songs on their upcoming albums that sample 2Pac's "Me and My Girlfriend". Jay-Z's song is already out. It's called "03 Bonnie and Clyde" and features Beyonce.

Even though this has nothing to do with a video but a song, I still have to post this- it's an EMERGENCY!!!!! Jay-Z's new song w/ the "High Class Chickenhead" is cool, but I can't stand the fact that they jacked up the song like that!!! :eek: :eek: I loooooove Tupac's song, "Me and My Girlfriend." And when Shawn Corey Carter and Beyonce Knowles made this song, it seems to me that they jacked up his legacy, instead of paying homage to a fallen soldier. JMHO....

Ok, did anyone see the will smith video w/ jada singing in it?? sooo is she like trying to get into the music industry now?? please say it ain't so. I like jada and all, but another actor turned singer....i just can't handle it!
The video is called "1,000 kisses" and it's borrowed from Luther's rendition of it. It's a cute video and all. Jada's voice isn't bad...I just hope she doesn't try to do the JLo thing. Why can't actors just be actors and singers be singers?? :confused:

I didn't see Jada's new video. But I saw her and missy on 106th and park towards the end. I don't know if you guys have heard this about christina's video yet. I heard it on mtv and on the radio home.

Scenes in Christina Aguilera's "Dirrty" video contain images that are suggestive, sexy and downright lewd. One particular moment, however, advertises something that's simply illegal.

Two posters seen in the video feature Thai script that translates to read "Thailand's Sex Tourism" and "Young Underage Girls" — references to Thailand's much-criticized, tourist-driven sex industry. The signs can be seen during Aguilera's boxing-ring sequence (see "Christina's 'Dirrty' Makes Some Fans Ill, Others Hot To Eat Her Toes").

A spokesperson for Aguilera's U.S. label, RCA Records, said that the posters were obtained by a non-Thai-speaking member of director David LaChapelle's production company and that the singer had no idea what they promoted (Click for photos from the video).

"I had absolutely no knowledge that this poster contained such offensive words, and I sincerely regret the insult," LaChapelle said in a statement. "Thailand is a beautiful country with a long cultural history that I truly respect. I would never intentionally do anything to insult the people of Thailand. Please accept my deepest apologies."

In response to protests in Thailand, Aguilera's Thai label has prohibited the video's play on local television stations, according to a BMG International spokesperson.

The Thai government said it would take action if the video proves to be damaging to the country's reputation, according to the Associated Press, but didn't specify how or to what extent.

I saw this video today on 106 and Park. Jada said that she IS NOT trying to become a singer but basically did the song because Will asked her to do it. I thought the video was cute, especially when they busted out the Kid-N-Play kid step. ;)

I post on another forum about the video and all I can say is that I really liked it. It felt good to see a black couple having fun:) . Sometimes I get sick of the usually gang banging, bling bling, wanna smoke a blunt, sex-type videos.:rolleyes: :rolleyes:

who has seen the new video for aaliyah's song (i think it's called "i miss you.")? it was really touching. i literally got chills watching it!

mariah carey's video for "through the rain" is cinematcally (if that is a word) compelling...but that damn song and video is boring. but, i am happy to see her releasing another ballad...a three-word ballad at that..(let's not forget "honey" and "glitter" and whatnot).

why does justin timberlake look like a stalker in his new video, cry me a river. and that chick looks a LOT like britney spears

j.lo...PUT YOUR SHIRT DOWN!! i can't even get past the nekkidness in this video. it really bothers me. and ben affleck rubbing...then kissing her booty!!! eeeeew!

i'll tell you what song and video is so funny to me: sick of being lonely by field mob. i laugh everytime i see them clowns crawling through the club to get away from their women. and not that they are cute, but they definitely look better than when they first came out.

and that damn kelis looks a fool with her striped lipstick in angie martinez' new video! she can't even press her lips together so she looks really crazy.

maybe i'm crazy but does anyone else notice the unnecessary tongue-action whitney is giving in her new video for "one of them days?" just watch and see what i'm talking about.

and for her husband, does he really think the hook for "thug loving" with ja rule is that gangsta? and watch that fool throughout the video. the "cocaine-like substance" got that man pop-locking, pelvic-thrusting, moon-walking, kicking and jumping to a beat that is slow!

and nokio looks a bit crackish in dru hill's video for the song, "i should be." and sisquo got red hair!! but has the nerve to try to dispel "THE RUMORS." whateva! :rolleyes:

OK, there are some really good video's out there, BUT there are also some out that make me go "hmmmmmmmmm"(remember that!!??) or just "ewwwwwww".
Some of the ones that I am feelin':
1. Aaliyah- Miss You (this has to be one of the best tribute videos
ever, it had me crying the first time I saw it)
2.Common and Mary J.- It is growning on me..it's cute with a nice
message.
3.Eminem- Lose Yourself (This has become my Get Hype song!)
4.Field Mob- Sick of Being Lonely (It is funny to me..that is all I
can say!)
5.Justin Timberlake- Cry Me a River(If I was ever to be down with
the swirl....you just don't know;) )

NOW those that I can do without:
1st and Foremost : Anything with Ja Rule, Ashanti, Bobby Brown, 504 Boyz, P. Diddy (except the B2K one:D ..guilty pleasures;) ), Clipse, Beyonce, Jenny (someone needs to tell her to keep her DAMN clothes on...I don't want to see that ish:mad: ), Lil John and the Eastside boys (Is there a 6 word limit to their songs or something??), and finally "Whitey Hutton"..don't act like you don't remember that episode of Martin when they were selling T-Shirts..

At the end of the video he goes up to his son, who is playing with the "Wanksta" doll. He holds up the doll and the doll has a chain on with a giant guitar pendant, similar to the pendant that Ja Rule wears. I didn't catch it at first, but one of my friends pointed it out for me. 50 also has a song on a Kay Slay mixtape where he talks about all of Murder Inc., except for Ashanti :rolleyes: Go figure!

10 Requried Elements for a Music Video
 

1. a dance breakdown (even if the artist really can't dance)
2. Nekkidness (you used to only find that with male artists...females are doing it now too)
3. Cameos from your producer (What up Gotti?)
4. Guest rappers (note: female r&b singer MUST mouth every other bar of the rap)
5. Jazze Phea, Puff Daddy, Loon, or Jadakiss
6. Cristal (anybody ever taste this stuff? is it as good as they make it to be)
7. That one video girl with the big lips that looks like she's frowning all the time (i know ya'll have seen her)
8. Comedic relief ("SHAWWWTAY" in the Clipse's viceo; Ced the Entertainer in Nelly's; Tommy Davidson in Snoop's; etc...)
9. Not that we don't miss celebrities that have passed and not that celebrities don't miss people who were close to them who have passed, but everybody has a "R.I.P." or "In Memory Of..." in their video
10. At least one white/latin chick in the background (can be substituded with or accompanied by a dancing child of any race)

C. Aguilera vid- ok the men kissing WAS a bit much for me- I guess I'm not as enlightened as I'd like to think. But ont he up side, that was the best her makeup has looked in a video in YEARS. Kudos to her makeup people. The hair people should still be shot though. It just looks dirty.

J Timberlake- I want a stalker, but only if he l9ooks JUST LIKE THAT. Umm, yummy. dangerous. yummy. His album is really good too (shouts to librasoul22 for pointint it out)

I saw this WIERD British video on MTV2. THis white guy sorta pseudo-rapping, called Let's Push Things Forward. I liked it. It was wierd. But I liked it.

SNOOOP DOGG- That song is HOT. Video is kiiiinda bootleg, but the song is HOT. That is still my jam.

All other videos that I noticed were just hoochies with no close, or angry white men with guitars and don't really deserve mention (barring Foo Fighters- All My Life is my jam at the gym)

I can't watch the Aaliyah video. A friend recently died and it is waaaay too much for me. I turn.

Last night I saw Ja Rule and Ashanti's new video "Mesmerize". Hated IT!!:mad: The concept of the video is supposed to be the scene from Grease when Olivia Newton-John attempts to become a bad girl. Ashanti looked HORRIBLE!! First of all, her hair looked a HOT mess and the fake lashes were TOO long! It looked like she could hardly close her eyes. And if you listen close, the beat of the song is the same beat as the Smilez and Southstar song "Tell Me".

Also saw J. Lo's new video with LL. It's alright except that seeing her in the snow reminds me of the pics on the AKA forum that show her picking her nose.

Three videos that I'm feeling right now are: Fabolous' "It's My Party", Freeway's "What We Do" and Missy and Luda's "Gossip Folks".

Okay all you Justin Timberlake fans. He has a new video out for "Rock Your Body". It is an awfully bright video but I like the dancing that he does. Plus, he looks too cute in the new vid. Anyway, it was part of MTV's "Making the Video" and will be shown again tonight at 11 PM EST.

I haven't been up on too many videos lately, but I did catch Ignition on 106 and Park yesterday. Um. I guess R. Kelly is back to his old self. I never noticed but he has NO sort of rythym when he is dancing. Even the obligatory little movements to accompany his singing. I was lol while watching this.

I kinda like the Baby video for What Happened To That Boy. I like when the guy says something about raising from the dead like Thriller and the guy kinda comes up in reverse. Benny Boom is a good director.

After hearing about the new Justin Timberlake video I wanted to see what it was about so I went to MTV.com under music video's and watched a lil bit of it. When my computer cooperated with me it seemed like an alright song. Really bright, and dizzy. I also read the article about the shooting of the video and they said that while Justin was doing the scene with the spinning camera he had to leave the set cuz his stomach couldnt take all that moving. Once I watched I felt the same way.

I also like the LL Cool J "Paradise" song...:D He is VERY nice eye candy. I am also feeling the Sean Paul video (that lil boy is to friggin cute:p ). I am also feeling the new India Arie video "Can I Walk with You", still can't believe she cut off her dreads:(

I would not tell anyone that I directed that video. I was suprised by how bad it is.

Nas' new video "I Can" is suprisingly very good. There are NONE of the video hooches and the song actually has a message. BET just had an "Access Granted" for the video and at the end he makes this crack about Bobby Brown's face in the "Thug Lovin' " video. Too funny.

I saw the video for the first time last night, and I must say that I am really impressed with Nas. The song is filled with good messages - if only more rappers today would follow suit.
