I see and there's NOTHING that can be done about it? I mean that's a huge difference! How crazy that it isn't fixed for you yet.

I have a Phi Mu castle...

THe Pi CHi's said to get a letter from an advisor telling them about the change. I emailed and stopped inbetween parties but my majors department chair resigned and today and yesterday all advisors of my major and are required to be in interviews all day long. So I havent gotten any response. And the interviews are over after today. So I am really frustrated. Since it is a grade change from them, I cant get a letter from Criser b/c it's not posted yet and my teacher for the class was a grad student and I cant get ahold of him either. But as my Pi Chi said things happen for a reason and told me to try to find a bright side of it. Which I am having a hard time seeing. I put my right GPA on the application, I don't know if the houses get that or a printed list from UF.

I know it is hard not to focus on the grades but it sounds like you have done everything in your power to rectify the situation and that is all you can do. Concentrate on things that you can control. Good luck with the rest of rush and keep your head up!

I know they got their invite list back- my friend going through UF rush just called me with an update. She's going back to 9 houses, Chi O being one of them!! This is so exciting!!

We just got out.... in ways my invites were disappointing but I expected cuts b/c of my school status and GPA problems. But I got three of the houses I really really wanted!!! SO here they are:

Tri-Delta- very very happy about this!!! :D
Delta Gamma- very very happy again!!!
DPhiE- wasnt really comfy there but need to meet other people to make sure
Kappa Delta- one of the houses I could see myself in, hopefully get a better feel for it.
Phi Mu- one again could see myself there but I need to meet some more people
SK- wasnt really comfortable but need to meet other people to make sure

So we go at 4 pm and get out at 9!!

UF56- I'm glad that you got some of the houses that you're happy about! It's so hard to really judge what houses you like first off.... your mind can definately change throughout rush. Have a blast today!

I've been sitting at work hitting the refresh button every 15 minutes looking for news from you Florida girls :) I'm really glad you got some good invites back, and let us all know how it goes!! I hope you get to meet more women at D Phi E, because they are definitely an awesome chapter, as are all the groups at UF!

...and I do want to tell you that I think it has been very helpful for you to post your impressions of the individual houses. The members need that kind of feedback to know what is working and what is not. You have done it with great maturity and grace and in a very positive way.

YAY! I'm so happy you were invited back to some houses you wanted. Have fun today and don't worry about making the craft. While it's the Philanthropy round, you need to focus on getting to know the girls you are speaking to. Of course making the craft makes things a little less ackward if you're still trying to get the conversation rolling, but don't necessarily focus on completing it if you're having an awesome time talking to the girls. I know I thought 'I have to get this done before the round is over' more than ' I need to get to know this girl and see if I want to come back here for the next round'. You know what I mean. Anyway, just some last minute advice! Best of luck and have FUN!

Okay I am back from the first part of round two. During round two we do crafts that support each chapters philanthropy (sp?). I went to DG and DPhiE this evening. DG was great they remembered things I talked about with the first girls and I met 5 more girls there. It was great I am absolutely in love with them!! We talked so much we didnt do the craft!!

DPhiE was awesome too!! I aboslutely loved the girl I spoke with. We really really hit it off. At first I wasnt sure about DPhiE but now they are GREAT!!! We also talked way too much and didnt do the craft. So I am happy right now and glad that I got to meet this girl in DPhiE b/c she changed how I was feeling before!!!

I went to SK, Phi Mu, Tri-Delt and KD today. Even though I really like KD a lot the conversation had a lot of lulls in it today. This worries me. I am still in love with Tri-Delt and I had a wonderful time at Phi Mu. I really really liked the girl I talked too. At SK I didnt really connect with the first girl I talked to, but I really liked the last girl, so I am happy with all of the houses as of now.

Sounds like you had a good recruitment day! When do you turn in your choices/get invites back??

Tomorrow at 8:30 am we get invites back! (NERVOUS)

Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous. You Florida pnms are impressing the heck out of me!
Sigma K, Phi Mu, Tri-Delt and KD all sound terrific. I think you are doing so well and giving everyone a fair chance. Keep doing what you are doing, just give yourself a chance to really enjoy each event and go in with the intention of making friends in each chapter regardless of where you end up.

Okay so supposedly UF has a no frills rush but I disagree. Tridelt had tons of balloons everywhere today. When you walked in there was a big archway of balloons and columns of them too. KD had a couple of columns here and there but none like Tridelt. So my question is why? None of the other houses I attended had anything close to this. Are they the only two houses that do this. Also it seems that noone is dressing accordingly (cant say that I am either since I wore a Lilly dress today) but some girls had on dresses that were defintely borderline pref dresses. So that too makes me think we are starting to get frilly and I must say that I like it!!!!:D As it stands right now I like all of my houses and can honestly say that I could be happy in any of them. But yes there are two that I am praying to God for. So as of right now I am just praying that I do not get dropped completely out like the girl with green hair did.

I really hate to ask this, but could someone please tell me what a Lilly dress is? I have heard about them in a lot of rush threads. I always heard that fashions hit the west coast first, or maybe I am just totally clueless!!
