You know, it is so funny that you mention that. Back in high school almost every girl with a vehicle drove a full-size pick-up truck, and if not a truck, an SUV. All trucks were decked out too, not just any plain ol' truck. I drove a GMC Sienna, extended cab until spring semester of my first year of college.

At the university I go to not many girls drive trucks; it was strange at first, but of course, now I am used to it. I now drive a car because of reasons other than girls not driving trucks where I go to school. I miss my truck though. :( If my next vehicle isn't one of my dream cars (Firebird, Jetta or BMW), I am going to get a truck or an SUV!! :D I am counting down......three years......

I'm going to kinda have to agree with Rudey.

I mean, if i meet a girl and we hit it off, then we go out to the parking lot and her truck is more decked out than mine (i.e. her truck has big mud tires, grille guard, ranch hand bumpers, headache rack, etc.) than i'm gonna feel intimidated :D

I would almost actually prefer a girl to drive a car or an SUV, i mean, one of the perks of datin a girl is gettin to drive her car every once in awhile, right? ;) I mean, i drive a truck every day, i want to be able to zip around in a mustang every now and again.

Rudey, I don't think a truck would do me justice either. As far as an SUV, I would like to have a Black Escalade when I finish my undergrad. One of my boys who plays football for UF has one and it's very nice. They are very expensive but they feel so good when driving. You are up high on the road also.

The way trucks were "decked out" while I was in high school a couple of years ago: had a lift, tires= BF Goodrich all-terrain, flood lights, grille, and a few other goodies.

I swear I will never understand things like that :) They can drive their decked out trucks but it's the cowboy hats that are doing it for me.

ktsnake, yes, I went to school at OSU in Stillwater and many of the girls wore hats. Lookin' cute too! Rudey, something that I learned in school was that if the girl wears a cowboy hat you need to check her back pocket for a 'ring'.

Perhaps I should go down to the weed and do some research....

yeah cowboy hats used to be the thing around here when DChild was big, but now that everyone is sporting the ghetto JLo-style, big-azz sunhats are so replacing them out here! I'm such a nerd and I own a couple... they r so fun to wear at parties tho! - oh and btw, I'm very urban and all but I get called country at school by all my friends from Chicago/NYC since my home city is surrounded by farms and I went to a small HS and sh*t . I dunno too many girlise that drive trucks or n e thing, but most of the ladies that I met that drive trucks are actually pretty chill! I'm pretty sure he's referring to the 'ring' that develops on the back pockets of one's jeans when they carry a can of dip (Copenhagen, Skoal, Kodiak, etc) around back there.

Should you spot a girl sporting one of these 'rings', expect a surprise should you go in for a good night kiss.

Oh don't worry, the sun hats are freakin HUGE... if u haven't seen one yet, I'm sure u will see them around soon :cool:

I already have the hat and I'm getting a GT convertible next Spring. If I ever road trip down to Texas, I'll be sure to look you up. If I'm in a good mood, I might even let you wash it for me. ;)

rudey, I can tell that 'you're not from around here.' As AggieSigmaNu361 pointed out it is the Skoal ring that you have to watch for. Of course he is from Texas and has probably seen a few on girls jeans.
