There was only one house on my schedule for pref night, and that house was none other than Parks and Rec!!! I was held hostage for hours and hours waiting for my party, which was the very last event of the day, but it was definitely worth the wait.

Parks and Rec – I teared up at least 3 times during the pref ceremony. The girl who I talked to was the first girl I met on the first day of recruitment, and I was so happy to see her again. Afterwards, I finally got to talk to one of my good friends who I’ve been dying to talk to for all of recruitment. They both told me great stories about their sisterhood, and the ceremony was so sweet and cute. I love these girls and everything they stand for. I know without a doubt that I’ve found my home. I think I’ve known all along, and I’m so happy that they saw something in me too. I want to be a part of this sisterhood so badly.

I’ll hopefully be back with good news after bid day tomorrow!

I could not be happier with how everything turned out and I love all of my new sisters so much already. I can't thank you all enough for your support during this process, especially those of you who wrote me recommendations and my mom, KillarneyRose (surprise!) who thought she was being sly by posting in my thread like she didn't know who I was.

Also, for those who were curious, I go to Tulane University! My username comes from the symbol of New Orleans, the Fleur de Lis.

I was fairly sure of the campus given the dates and number of chapters, and confirmed that a few weeks ago. I work with Parks and Recreation and knew they were going to have a strong recruitment.

My Phi Mu women in this chapter perfectly fit her impressions each round.
