When I was at the STL airport this weekend, I saw TOO many Greeks for something to not be going on. I saw Alpha Sigma Taus, AOPi's, and KKG's. Does anyone know what was going on with these sororities this past weekend???
YAY, that was me!!! Alpha Sigma Tau had their National Convention in St. Louis this past week (June 25-30). I was one of the MANY AST's in the Airport that you saw :D. We stayed at the Hyatt Regency at Union Station. I had such a great time seeing my sisters, and especially reuniting with my roomies from the previous convention!!

Alpha Sigma Tau has biennial conventions in even numbered years. (Our centennial was in 1999, so we used the 1998 and 2000 conventions to celebrate. Twice the party!!) On odd numbered years we either have Regional Leadership Workshops, or an Officer Academy.

Phi Sigma Sigma will be holding our national Concention in Washington DC July 24-28. (Same time as you, Confiable22)
I will be going to represent my Chapter. I'm so excited!

I just got back from Gamma Phi Beta's International Convention in Washington DC, June 26-30. It was so great! I loved meeting other Gamma Phi's from all over the country (and Canada!). :D

GPB holds conventions in even-numbered years. In the odd numbered years, they hold regional conferences.

We were talking about having your convention (or whatever your org calls it) @ Disney World. They were talking about how difficult it is to promote it because you can't use anything Disney without permission. All of the articles they wrote about it that MENTIONED Disney World (which was probably all of them) had to be proofread by someone on Disney's staff. A few of them said they didn't ever want to go back there because of the hassle, but I think the attendees all enjoyed themselves! I just think Disney can be kinda psycho about stuff sometimes.

Oh I totally know about that one, we had "illegal" band shirts in HS when we went to Disney- our band director strictly informed us NOT to take them to Disney, they were only for wearing in Penn Hills!

As an AST myself, I have to agree with PsychTau. Our national convention was just held in St. Louis, MO. I didn't go though, but I did have some sisters and an advisor that went. They stayed at the Hyatt Regency. From what I heard from them, they thought that it was great!!

Also, AST has biennial conventions.

Hey SigKapQueen,

I was at convention too. Is it true that one of your girls fell out of her chair when it was announced that ya'll won the Panhel award? One of the alums that I sat with at the awards ceremony was telling me about it when your two stars were announced. I had no problem believing it because I saw a girl in orange at the table practically fall off her seat when the Standards of Excellence was announced!
