I really wish grocery stores and stores like Meijers, Kmart, Walmart, Target, etc had a Five Items or Less checkout lane. I hate getting into the Twelve Items or Less lane with one or two things in my hand and having all the people in front of me have 10+ items. Grrr!

*Dressing rooms with the half-door, I am somewhat tall, 5'10", and half the time you can practically see my 'twins' over the stall door.

*When you are in the dressing room, and somebody's child is crawling on the floor, and they end up peeking under the door! Look, this is not Pay-per-view...get your KID!!!

*RUDE salespersons/clerk...IT IS NOT MY FAULT you have to work at a gas station on a Saturday night...MMMKAY?

*When I am at Walmart/grocery store, etc...and the clerk just starts ringing me up, I feel like saying..."WELL HELLO WELCOME TO WALMART, HOW ARE YOU???"

*When I go to whip my car into a parking space and realize that it has a little short ass car in it, like a Bug or something...

*When I was in high school, I used to work at JC Penney, and I used to hate it when people would throw their money at me when my hand was out...I used to PRAY they had change, or if they used a credit card, LOL I would slap it down so hard, you would have thought I was playing spades and I just slapped down the Big Joker! :p

That's all for now..

***edited to add***

*When a parent has a big half-grown child in a stroller. That kinda pisses me off personally, LET HIM WALK!!! This big 'man-child' is up in the stroller with his feet dragging on the floor. It's even worse when they carry them! LET HIS ASS WALK, kids don't get enough exercise now anyway!

Dogs get hit everyday with cars because they escaped. Why not stupid, bratty children?)/quote]

My rule of thumb... if they ain't in the crosswalk, they're legitimate targets (children and adults alike) ;) :) :D (Just kidding, folks... I'm not that violent... just don't push it!

People with cell phones: Now we are in the 21st century and cell phones are a must have. However, if you are checking out with the cashier, and your cell phone rings, unless the call is majorly important (ie. emergency or business call), tell the person you will call them back. The cashier ringing you up has to wait for you to shut the hell up and pay her/him, which in turn holds up the line.
Ditto. Absolutely drives me up the wall that people can pretend to be so self-important that the whole world revolves around them?!?!? Time to take 'em out the back, yank their silly a** cell phone (in Venezuelan Spanish slang, they've come up with the perfect word to describe the cell phone: el ridiculo ('ridiculous')) off their grubby little hands and open up a can of whoop-a** on them just on GP! Unless it's an emergency... call 'em back! And it better BE important!

The parcel pick-up station at grocery stores: It's just what it's called..a parcel pick-up station. Not a "park your car in front of the grocery store while Susie runs in a does all of her shopping" station. I HATE people who sit in their cars infront of the grocery store. Now, if you are just running in to grab a few items, it's not that big of a deal. But when I enter the grocery store and exit the grocery store in 45 minutes and your car is STILL in the parcel-pickup station, you need to park your A$$ in a real spot and stop being such a jerk!
Another drive-me-up the wall thing: people who park in handicapped spaces when they have no right to do so. The Park Cities matrons (the high-class suburban bubble within Dallas) are notorious for doing that at the Simon David gourmet grocery. How's about I slash all four of your tires and key up the expensive paintwork on your yuppie-mobile? Nahh... a couple of strategically-thrown grocery carts will do nicely! ;) :) :D

Last week I went to a Winn Dixie while out running errands and they only had one LANE open. . . I only wanted 2 items and the lane had 6 folks in it. I pivoted right out the door. :p

Salespeople who know absolutely nothing about their product!

Out of stock items that are still displayed on the floor.

RUDE clerks!!!

Parents who act worse than their darling brats.

I hate that! I ***especially*** hate it when there are only two or three lanes open and employees keep walking by and ignoring the facts that there are long lines!!!

SigkapAlumWSU 05-27-2003 03:18 AM

I hate it when a crowd of people, or an entire family, or most irritatingly, two people, feel the need to take up the whole road while walking in the parking lot. You can't tell me that you don't see or hear my car coming up behind you. Just get out of the way!

This is why when possible, I give my patronage to Target. They have a very good policy of immediately opening up another register if each open lane has 2 or more people waiting...they even call up employees from other departments to keep enough checkout lanes open.

I HATE WALMART!! It seems no matter when I go in, whether on payday weekend or 3:30 in the morning, I have to wait atleast half an hour in line and then face an incompetent cashier. That's the price to pay for saving a couple bucks on your cd's I guess.

why is it that when you walk into a store at the mall people ask if they can help you. seriously that bugs me, why do they think i need help. Am i that inept looking?

That's what I really HATE, those old people who get all bent out of shape and act all offended about anything and everything, like someone's kid throwing a fit really ruined their whole life.

I also hate getting a messed up cart. People who get a whole cart of stuff and then just leave it in the aisle. The people who write a check for a pack of gum. The people that have expired coupons that they still want honored and most of all I hate that at the grocery store everything that is on sale you have to buy 2 or 3 of the same item to get the savings.

At Sears it's thirty days and we give you the price adjustment plus 10% of the difference.

Some sales persons

I really dislike sales persons who lookat me as if I am not able to afford shopping in their store.

I also really dislike advertised sales items that do not ring up correctly....especially when I gently tell the sales person that the price is incorrect and she/he responds, "You must not understand the math." I politely say, "Why don't you get a calculator and a pencil.";)

I work at a part adult, part baby and child clothing store, and I must say that my biggest pet peeve is people who leave their stroller/child randomly in the middle of the store while they go look at clothes!!! Sometimes, you have to strategically maneuver around the baby section just to get to the stock room!!! UGH!! Also, people who ignore you when you say hello!! I'm not on commission, therefore I care if you buy something but yet I don't really . . . I'm just trying to be nice and greet you . . . geez, retail people are REAL people, too!!! :(

KerriMarie 05-28-2003 12:24 AM

I used to work at a Michael's Arts and Crafts store... ugh, people can be disgusting!

We had people who liked to unroll the ribbons... that's really annoying. Cleaning up the ribbon aisle could seriously tke an hour every night, it gets that messy.

People who bring in like a fast food cup, finish it, and leave it somewhere for me to find and pick up. That's gross...

I hate people who fill a cart with crap, and leave it somewhere for me to unload. I have better things to do with my time, really I do!

That kind of crap's been going on for years. It happened a lot to friends of mine, and it's happened to me. I confront folks, say that I have caiche AND your credit card.
