The 6 bottles of Cream Soda that I had...GONE :p :(

I miss the good ole' days when I was growing up there...not just Faygo now, but I miss having my White Castle too! Mayun! And when we finished our bottles of Faygo, my cousins and I would save them because you can cash them in for $.10...we would take those bottles by the wagonload to the corner store and buy candy!! Good old days...

1) yes, everything will end up in one big thingie. The reason that I separate them (and you don't have to if you don't want to) is the absorption of the fruits. Canteloup is pretty solid, so I don't want to soak it in the 151... I want the fruit in the 151 to be saturated. :D It probably doesn't make a difference, lol, just my quirks. :)

2) I use 375ml of 151 (pint?) and 750ml of the Skyy (middle sized bottle?). 3/4 of the bottle of Peach Schnapps. Add the juices to taste (make it taste fruity and good!!). I buy the fresh pineapple that is cored and sliced in the clear plastic container, y'know what I'm sayin? then I use a whole canteloup (I use the scoop ball thingie), probably 1/4 of a whole watermelon (that's more long than round), and a quart of strawberries. I soak them separately in a big bowl or something, then put the full mixture in a 2 Gallon bucket thingie with the push button thing at the bottom, you know what I'm talkin about, lol. Words are seriously escaping me right now, LOL!

3) If you eat the fruit, you will get @#$%ed up. If you drink just the drink, you'll still get messed up (it's 151, lol). The fruit will NOT taste good! It will taste like liquor! But it will serve it's purpose. ;)

I hope this helps. I hope I got to this in time so you see it by tomorrow, since you gotta start soaking tomorrow!!! :) I promise, it will be a hit at your party, there will be none left, fruit or drink!

RefinedDiva, my first Hairy Buffalo was made with Everclear!!! I will NEVER touch that mess again!!! That was back in '93. I will never touch that mess again!!! WHEW, girl, go 'head on witcha bad self!!!

Wallaby Darned taste like a peach slushy/icee. Really it's like a peach daquiri with a whole lot of goodies in it :p They serve it in a large mug. It's so good, you wouldn't know alcohol was in it unless someone told you. So you know how that goes, you have to watch yourself because all of a sudden the tipsy fairy sneaks up on you lol. :D

Hey guys,

My birthday is on Sunday :D & I'm having a party this weekend w/ alcohol being served. Does anybody have any ideas on good party drinks? I'm very broke so I need things that can be mixed. And is it ghetto that I'm asking folks to bring alcohol (for the party) in leiu of gifts?

No your not. My friends and I always have gathering for our b-days..HAPPY BIRTHDAY..and it's gotten to the point that we KNOW to bring drinks!!!

For the most part, folks are probably bring the easy Margarita Mix, OJ and Coke...

But it is pretty much how you want to handle it...

Get whatever type of liquor and hook it up. There are 10000000 recipes on the net for them. There is a thread in CC about jello shots as well.

Me and my friends sometimes have "pink panties" parties it was our signature drink in college. You need a blender, ice, vodka, can of pink lemonade concentrate, whip cream and sugar. Don't worry if you don't like vodka its so sweet, it won't taste bad.

1. Put the ice in the blender
2. Add vodka (DISCLAIMER as much as you can handle)
3. Add can of pink lemonade
4. Add a carton of whip cream
5. Add 1/2 cup of sugar
6. Blend

This is a trial and error drink you practice till you get the thickness, and sweetness you like. It needs to blend well or the sugar will make it gritty. I like mine smooth and sweet. This is a "girlie" drink and I have never had a complaint.

Now if you wanna be a big girl like me :p :p I deal in brown liquor. Crown royal taste great with coke of course, but crown over lots of ice and a hint of cranberry juice its good too. My fav is crown and coke though.

First, I must say that you are not ghetto to ask folks to b.y.o.a. Particularly since it's your birthday. If they don't like it, as my granddad says, piss on 'em!

But about the drinks, I would suggest you don't skimp on the drinks if you don't absolutely have to. The only thing worse than a hangover is a hangover after a night of cheap alcohol! All my ladies who ever drank some Boone's can feel me! How many of you remember "Strawberry Hill" freshman year of college... 10.00 for you and all your girls to drink... Just raggedy.

If I were you, I would get a bottle of Bombay Sapphire, make some martinis and live it up on your day!

My favorite martini? Sapphire gin and ruby red grapefruit juice in a sugar-rimmed martini glass! :D Deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-licious! And it just so happens to be pink...

Those jello shots were THE BOMB!!!!!

I am NOT an alcoholic, rather a connoseiur (sp?) of fine spirits, lol.

My drinks of choice are:

Long Island Iced Teas: equal parts gin, triple sec, vodka, rum, and soda/sour (I prefer soda but it just depends on your tastes)

Kamikazes: Gin, Vodka OR Triple Sec (again, depending on taste, lol), and sour + lime

Or, what I really prefer to do since drinking a lot of mixed drinks makes me have to pee... SHOTS!

My shot of choice:

Burning Atlanta: Equal parts Jagermeister and 151 (not for the lightweights, but it tastes good!)

Also there is a rum called Passoa. It tastes DELICIOUS enough to drink straight. Beware, you will get so caught up in the "hey, this isn't so strong!" mindset and next thing you know be asking yourself hmm, why am I looking at my reflection in the toilet? Not that this has ever happened to me, I'm just sayin'. lol

The party was a success & the biggest hits were the jello shots. The alcohol was coconut vodka so you KNOW they were deeeelicious! Then I had a mix of orange & pineapple juice w/ EVERYTHING. Very good. There was good old fashioned alcoholic fruit and shots of everything!:D

A tip from my old drinkin' days.......

Instead of a whole can of pink lemondade, cut it in half with a box of jello (lemon or strawberry lemonade). It will get rid of the "gritty" problem.

My favs:

Vodka Martinis (Mango, Apple, Watermelon, French)
Grey Goose and Cranberry
Mojitos (YUMMY!!!)

ONLY DRINK GREY GOOSE VODKA...THE BEST!

Soror, Grey Goose is good. But I also suggest Hangar One, Charbay and Van Gogh. Van Gogh's got a great wild apple vodka.

Hypnotiq Maritini's (REEEEEEEEEEEEEAALLLLLLY good)

Lola's (the rumored originator of the sour apple martini) serves them with a thin slice of green apple as a garnish. If you are ever in LA, check out Lola's. I'm so over the place, but they still serve a great martini.

I was stuck on Peach sours, but now I live for Hypnotiq, straight up.

You and me both!! :D I LOVE the fact that on Fridays there is a bar in our downtown area that serves Hpnotiq for half price. I've had an Incredible Hulk (Hpnotiq with Hennessey, it turns green when mixed), although it was strong I really liked it. I'm a newbie also so my next stop is a Hpnotiq martini.

I've had Hpnotiq martinis w/Charbay grapefruit vodka and Charbay key lime vodka. The key lime, which is green, turns the drink into a nice turquoise color.

ST, is the flavor of the grapefruit vodka strong? I'm not really a grapefruit person, but maybe I'll try it sometime. Another drink that I like is Goldschlager. According to Webtender: it's "a Swiss clear cinnamon schnapps liqueur with 24k gold leaf flakes." Tasty.:)

The Charbay vodkas do have a very strong flavor. An alternative that is less sweet -- but cheaper and stronger with an alcohol taste -- is Danzka.

Well I had a party last weekend and made this awesome hunch punch with pineapple juice, hawaiian punch, 151, UV vodka (blue and green), bacardi gold, and Ciclon. We just threw them all together in a huge cooler. It was strong and you couldn't taste alcohol at all (in other words, it was the devil, lol).

I love dark rum i.e. Bacardi Gold, 151, Ciclon. Ciclon is my absolute fave right now!

This evening, I made a martini w/Hypnotiq, POM Wonderful ("pomagram") pomegranate juice, and Charbay Meyer Lemon vodka. Turned out sort of a garnet color. I haven't named it yet.
