first of all if i lived in middle america (in my opinion anything west of jersey and east of cali, no offense) i wouldn't want seafood either but i Love it here.
i am not a big fan of most typical "american" type food or red meat. i will eat almost anything served to me in china (try refusing food from a pushy asian grandma type and its delicious anyway) except: boiled coke with herbs i have eaten my share of chicken feet but no more i love flavored parmalot with all my heart but please don't boil it fish eyes also i am repulsed by lots of southern stuff like grits, and chicken and waffles (sorry) i don't know if i could marry someone who didn't appreciate a good new york bagel |

Fish is really the only type of meat I like. I love salmon! You can't beat me and make me eat catfish though. Hell no!  |
I can't believe the amount of people that don't like seafood! Although I do live where I can see the water, so I have no problem at all. But when I go to school, and I'm 6 hours inland from home, I won't even consider seafood at all. I'm all about the fresh stuff. Until I was 17 I didn't know there was such thing as canned Salmon. I thought everyone ate it fresh like me.. canned is just so... unnatural.
I also wanted to add Root Beer to my list. The smell makes ne nautious, I just can't stand the stuff, and everyone I know drinks it. |
EGGS!

I also can't believe how many people don't like seafood. I absolutely loooove seafood. It's really just a way of life here. I'm really not that picky of an eater but I do have a few things that I will not touch.
Scrambled Eggs Frog Legs Shark, Nutria, Gator--ppl actually eat that around here Buffalo--I have tried it before and will never touch it again Green Olives Cottage Cheese Raw Oysters Spinach--raw or cooked |
Balut. Erg. It's something that is eaten in Hawaii and--OTW, help me here--I think it's a fertilized duck egg that's eaten before the duck fully develops. Our next-door neighbor, who's Filipino-Hawaiian, can't talk about it without retching.

yogurt cottage cheese plums raisins any kind of dried fruit spam pigs feet |
Yeah...go ahead and add Spam to my list too. My grandma makes this sandwich spread with spam, cheddar cheese, and mayo--I turn green every time I see her make it. BLAH!!!!!

I have decided that I will not eat mexican food north of Austin. I was in Colorado in September and tried 2 different mexican food restaurants and lets just say it wasn't a pleasant experience.
I also will not eat any types of chicken-yuk! meat pork squash (unless fried) okra (unless fried or in gumbo) corn unless it is on the cob broccoli unless thoroughly cooked and tender and must have cheese most fruit coconut (I get sick when I smell coconut, even coconut tanning lotion) zucchini cookies ice cream (once in a blue moon I will eat ice cream) wheat bread I would say that out of this list coconut and chicken are the main ones you couldn't pay me to eat |

I would never not ever eat Coconuts, definitely Cucumbers...I used to give them to my little (blood) sister, and when I moved to Pittsburgh and met KappaStarboy, I would always give him mine when I got a salad. One week, my sister came to visit and we all went out to dinner. I ordered my favorite salad (Pittsburghers, it's all about the Buffalo Chicken salad at the Union Grill in Oakland), picked out the cucumbers, and gave them to KappaStarboy. My sister turned to him and said "Ah, I see that's YOUR job now." It was funny. Celery Cauliflower Cottage Cheese Corn Dogs Coffee and other food that doesn't begin with "C": Octopus Artichoke hearts Mayonnaise Sugared cereals |
OMG, I forgot about cucumbers the most wretched of them all. In college when my roommate and I were in a fight, he use to put cucumbers in the fridge to piss me off otherwise they were not allowed near the house. The smell absolutely nauseates me. I love pickles though (as long as they are not kosher).
