In answer to the question, I'd be a Kappa Alpha Theta, Sigma Kappa, Chi O, or AGD, not in any particular order. |

It would be like me saying that I would want to be a Phi Tau or a Theta Chi but never a TKE. If you don't like the organization, just don't single them out & mention how you would not be one of them. |

The wedding cake started at the bottom with an ADPi pin and an SAE pin, then went up a couple tiers, then had a bridge with the rest of the cake in the middle. It was immense! But, as I look back to when I was in school, in answer to the original question, I would probably have been a Pika, a Delt, or possibly a PhiKap. |
Sigma Nu. Two of my best friends were founding fathers on our campus. I love those boys!!
and on the LXA thing... I dated a LXA (for serveal years) who got really pissy whenever I would tell him that I heard that "magic carpet ride" was based on his ritual. *LOL* I have a soft spot for Lambda Chis too because of him. :-) |
Probably Beta Kappa Psi or Phi Kappa Psi
|
Pretty easy... Gamma Phi Beta - always got along with the girls as friends (and still do after undergrad)... which is why I directed my sister their way ;)
|
Why, SigEp of course... there's that whole, my brother's one, and my fiance is one thing...
|
Since both my best friend in high school and then college as well as my boyfriend (his roommate) became TKEs (and convinced me to go to sorority recruitment and highly recommended Alpha Gam), and my dad is a TKE, I could have seen myself being a TKE. I could also see going Lambda Chi because I worked with a bunch of them and we had a blast together washing pots and pans in the Dining Commons. I ended up marrying one of those Lambda Chis from the Dining Commons and, although we divorced quickly, I loved his brothers a lot.
I'm not telling what he told me about Magic Carpet Ride, but it was probably more than he should have... He told me a lot of things about Initiation that were so outrageous that I know now, in my older age, that it couldn't possibly have been true. Dee |
that's simple for me -- Chi Omega
at my school they are a smaller chapter, but they remain one of the best women's organizations on my campus in my opinion (we have a lot of prestigious non greek women's orgs that i would def rate higher than alot of the GLO's here). chi-o is a pretty classy here. they are all very, very down to earth and nice. i've never met a snobby chi-o from our chapter. they are very dependable to team up with on philanthropies etc. they're the 'good girls'/non-slutty ones, but boy, when they go out, or party they are the shiz -- the gorgeous girls next door, lol. to me, they tend to attract the more natural beauties -- like chicks that don't need a lot of make up and they are still hot. they have a couple of the fake blonde, really tan, lots of make up kinda girls, but its rare. also, i have yet to meet one that is dumb as dirt . . . which i can't say for some of the tri delts at my school (tri delts are the most popular) yeah, most people would put chi-o in the top tier behind tridelt but i'm a chi-o fan all the way. |
So far two posters have indicated who they would NOT want to be....when the point of this thread is who you WOULD want to be. There is no reason that comments have to be made about those organizations that you dislike. Every chapter of every organization is different. While one group may be the favorite at one school it may not be so at another chapter. I understand that everyone has a right to their opinion, but there are members of every organization that visit these boards and to put down their organization simply becasue if you were the other gender you wouldn't join them is unfair. I would venture to say that the members of those organiztions that have been mentioned as those the other sex would want to join are flattered - and rightly so.
I am not posting simply because the one poster said he would not want to be a part of my organization...I am posting because each and every organization has incredible members, creeds, social events, and philanthropies that make campus life and greek life all the more richer for them being in it. I am not trying to cause a disruption, fight, anything negative with this post as there seems to be enough of that going on. I just would like us all to be more aware of the words we choose to use. I do not think anyone would like their organization to be singled out negatively. Remember, the commitment and dedication you have to your group is the same for the members of the organization you are putting down. As for my own answer to the question, my undergrad school has only one other national group at this time. Therefore, I cannot say what I would choose to be based on this. I feel I would be able to make a better choice on a larger campus with the chance to interact with the numerous other groups where I would be able to learn more about their organizations. Just my thoughts...:) |
Probably an Alpha Phi or a Chi Omega. I think I would have a better chance of getting into Chi O, because I'm not really how sure how hot of a girl I would be. If I was really hot, then APhi all the way. (that's not a dig on Chi O at all, there are alot of beautiful girls in Chi O, it's just that there are far more in Alpha Phi...)
|
I think I would be a Pi Kappa Phi... they are some of my favorite guys on campus! :)
|
Again, I must step up & defend another GLO. I love the Tri-Delts on our campus. They are NOT "dumb as dirt." They do great work on our campus as I'm sure they do all around. The point of this thread is to point out who you would want to be if you were the other gender and NOT who you don't like. Stick to the topic.
Phi Tau or Theta Chi for me. I love those guys. |
Probably TKE or DU. I'd rush Sig Ep just for Arya though. ;)
|
Years ago, if Tri-Delta had been allowed to build that swimming pool, they would have been the hands down choice (that's for you Cara.)
I had more friends in Theta, so that's probably where I really would have gone. Tri-Delta or DG would also have been contenders. |
Probably Lambda Chi or Pi Kapp (even though I love the Sigma Chis on campus :) )
|
Interesting question!
I'd be a Tau Delta Phi legacy, but there is no chapter of that at IU. So I'd probably say AEPi, ZBT, or Sammy. |
This one's easy for me: Sig Ep. One of my best friends is a Sig Ep. And, his brothers have always been awesome guys.
|
I'd probably be a Phi Kappa Tau...if I was a guy, I'd be a double legacy (brother and grandfather).
if I chose from the organizations on my campus (all locals) I'd want to be a Kingsman (Lambda Gamma Epsilon). Those guys are amazingly nice, "real" people, and I'd venture to say that they are the most diverse chapter on campus. You can see that they are about their brotherhood at all costs. |
If I were a guy I'd be a member of Phi Beta Sigma or Alpha Phi Alpha.
|
I would go with Alpha Xi, because I married one. Other than that, AXO or Pi Phi.
PS, what school are you referring to the Betas? Quote:
|
If I were a guy at UK, I think I'd be a FIJI. They were my favorite fraternity. :)
|
Quote:
I would probably be an ADPi or a Pi Phi, since one of my ex-girlfriend's is a Pi Phi. |
SAE all the way coz I <3 those guys! And I also love LXA, PhiTau, SigmaChi, and TeKE!!
|
I really do think if I had been a guy at Florida Tech, I would have been a TKE. I used to hang out with another fraternity my first semester because all their pledges lived on my floor and I played soccer with them, and I was invited to the TKE Winter Formal by a friend. I knew a total of 3 of their brothers and I had more fun with these guys that I didn't even know than with the guys who I considered my closest friends. Hence why I continued to hang out with them. ;)
|
Sigma Chi, SAE, or FIJI.
Because if I am going to be a boy I want to at least be a hot boy. :D |
From my college campus - Sigma Chi, Sigma Phi Epsilon, or Phi Kappa Psi (all great organizations and a lot of fun to hang out with/get to know!); also Lambda Chi Alpha (if I had been there the following year to get to know them, but my diamond sister said they were absolutely wonderful!)
From my (limited experience) advising campus - Delta Sigma Phi, Sigma Alpha Mu, Phi Kappa Psi, Delta Upsilon |
I'd more than likely be a TKE, for some reason I always seem to be around them one way or another ;)
But, if no Teke's were around I'd probably go for QC or SFE. |
What an odd question
On my campus...possibly Alpha Phi |
Either A)Zeta Psi b/c my boyfriend of 4 years was one and all of the brothers there were just the coolest, most down to earth guys and I consider pretty much all of them to still be good friends, B) Delt-they were really chill and laid back guys but still managed to be one of the top houses on campus-plus they had the surfer guy kinda look going on which I thought was SO hot
|
Sigma Chi, of course!
|
hmmm, i would have to say either a KA, SAE, or an ATO....they're all great guys on my campus....
|
I am going to say either Tri Sigma or a local here at whitewater Alpha Sigma.
|
we don't have Sammy on our campus, but I'd be a legacy...
|
I would be a Kappa Alpha Order member :)
Dad is a "Gentleman" of the order and I have given birth to 3 legacies to :) KA Order:). BUT there was no KA chapter on the campus I went to (of course had I been a male I would have gone to a campus with KA Order), SOOOOO....my choice would have been Beta Phi Omega (a LOCAL at Wright State) affectionately nicknamed the "Bar Flies" cause I loved the way those guys partied! (remember this was 1978-1982 :)! |
Pi Kappa Phi
|
If I were still a student and could rewind to back when I was in school (and all of a sudden I were male!) I'd be a Pi Kappa Phi or a Lambda Chi Alpha.
|
Well, my great-grandfather was a FIJI at UT Knoxville and my dad and his father were Delta Tau Delta's at Tulane and LSU respectively. My great uncle was a Delta Upsilon at Carnegie Mellon back in the 1930s. My cousin is a DEKE at Bama....so I'm not sure. AT OLE MISS, I'd probably want to be a Sigma Nu, Phi Delta Theta, KA, or an ATO. IF FIJI or DTD were still at Ole Miss I'd want to join those :)
|
Probably Kappa Sigma. I would be a legacy there.
I've always really respected the Delta Chi's at my school also....Great group. My uncles were both SAE's. Considering ADPi shares mascot and flower with them, I feel like I might have felt comfortable there as well. |
