People will expect Girls Gone Wild. If that's not what they get, they won't watch...hmmmm...I wonder what they'll show. Meetings? Philanthropies? Treasurer poring over the books to manage sorority money? Hell no. They are going to show the parties, girls being catty, etc. Does that make them different from any other random college girl...no, unless you count the fact that they are doing that for their benefit at OUR expense.

"For the production, MTV has rented, redecorated, lit and wired a four-bedroom home at the end of a quiet north Davis cul-de-sac, where six of the 14 Sigma Alpha Epsilon Pi pledges are living.
So far, MTV has done its best to keep secret the location of the pledge house, which is filled with Ikea furniture and camera crews and has a heated pool and Jacuzzi spa out back." I think that that is about how concerned MTV is with keeping this whole thing real. We had a beautiful house, but how many of us really lived in places like this in college. Should be great for ratings though. I would love to see the releases that had to be signed for this whole thing. I really do wish these girls the best. I'll be curious to watch the "reunion" special that they always seem to do at the end of these things to see if they regret their decision. Julie |
Fraternity next?
Anyone think they may go after a fratnerity chapter, say the beta one in Lincoln, if this is successful and try and do a series involving fraternity guys?
