My UofA rec crew:

1- Kappa Alpha Theta*
1 - Alpha Gamma Delta*
1 - Alpha Delta Pi (legacy)
1 - Phi Mu

*These two may also be recorded by another rec crew. There's also one whose name I haven't found yet - waiting to hear if she dropped out or ???

ADPiEE 08-16-2014 05:19 PM

My first rec crew went through at UofA...
I've got an ADPi, AGD, GPB, Tridelt and am still waiting on two names I couldn't find on the list. I'm so happy for all of them!

Eldest is still encouraging youngest to at least go out to Meet the Greeks and stop by the Lambda Chi house on his campus in August. We'll see what happens.

Update: youngest broke up with girlfriend last week for various reasons. Doubt I'll get any updates from her! His best friend/my adopted daughter is going through at Toledo. Also have rec girls at WKU and Alabama this year. My OU rec fell through since she decided not to go through recruitment but am hoping she might still change her mind!

Youngest has decided to attend the Meet the Greeks event but is 89% sure he's not going to rush or accept bids. Again, we'll see what happens there!

I have three friends (2 Freshwomen, 1 transfer) who are going through recruitment at my Alma Mater. I look forward to seeing where they end up! I'm going to write their rush stories, once rush ends.

So sad that I am unable to write recs for them.

kchaptergphib 09-04-2014 01:03 PM

I wrote my VERY FIRST REC this year (kind of surprising I haven't done so earlier, but whatever). It was for a young woman attending Alabama (I mean, I might as well start with the biggest recruitment in the country), who is now a new member of Alpha Gamma Delta. Roll tide!

So is one of mine. Hmm...imagine that. ;)

My other rec at Alabama went Gamma Phi Beta.

Jill1228 09-14-2014 10:59 PM

done...for now

AOIIalum 09-15-2014 06:18 PM

Sad to announce that youngest's best friend did not go through FR at Toledo. Not sure why but I really hope she considers sorority life in the future. Same goes for the ones I wrote for WKU this year. Holding out for this winter at Ohio State though!

Never got any response from the one at Alabama and didn't see her name on any list I encountered.

Youngest was chosen to join the Singing Men of Ohio, so do not expect him to consider Fraternity life this fall. Maybe in the future but so far he's happy at school!

However, the ex-GF went Chi Omega and from what I hear is very happy with her bid!

als463 09-22-2014 07:43 AM

The Final Countdown

My entire list of recommendations at the various schools is complete! Below is the final count of where all my girls went.

University of Alabama (5)-(2) went KAQ, (1) went DG, and (2) did not show up on the bid list.
University of Mississippi-Ole Miss (3)- (2) went FM, and (1) went ADP
Georgia College and State University (1)-ADP
Oklahoma State University (1)- GFB
Auburn University (1)- CW
UGA (3)-ACW, CW, and AOP

Total = 14

Seraphena 03-08-2015 11:47 PM

One of my past coworkers ended up accepting her bid for Phi Mu at our COB event this weekend! She's super sweet and I'm excited to have her as my sister! :)

Jill1228 03-09-2015 07:41 AM

Congrats to her

Shellfish 06-02-2015 09:24 AM

I just did a little sleuthing and found out that a couple of my other rec recipients did join sororities at Alabama: one's a DZ and another is a Zeta. I'm really happy for them.

Jill1228 06-03-2015 07:21 AM

Ok, I'll update
