It hurts my heart to hear this. Lynn truly is a gem, and I pray she goes peacefully and her family finds comfort. AGD was certainly lucky to have such a wonderful sister!

I remember this photo!

Also, wasn't there a Georgia Meetup that took place in the early days?

maconmagnolia 03-16-2014 12:02 AM

This breaks my heart. :(

I pray for a peaceful transition, and I pray for her family, friends, and sisters.

clemsongirl 03-16-2014 12:09 AM

I was afraid that I would hear this news, and I was praying it wouldn't happen :( My thoughts are with her and her family.

This is why I love Greekchat, and Greek life in general. When any of us is going through a difficult time, we all ache together. And when we lose a brother or sister, we all feel like we've lost a member of our own family.

I've never met any fellow Greekchatters, but I feel like I know some of you better than I know certain people that I've met in real life. I've known Lynn to be someone who's opinionated, but fair and compassionate in her discussions with fellow Greeks. I feel for those of you who had the pleasure of interacting with her in person.

I hope that what little time Lynn may have here is peaceful and joyous and that she's surrounded by friends and family. AGD is losing one of its most amazing members.

My heart goes to her friends, family and AGD sisters.

RIP AGDLynn

UGAalum94 03-16-2014 02:22 PM

I met Lynn in real life because of GreekChat which seems weird considering we only lived about 10 or 15 miles apart at the time. I was honored to know her and remain inspired by her dedication to Alpha Gamma Delta.

chitownxo 03-16-2014 02:27 PM

I am so sorry to hear this. My thoughts and prayers are with her family, sisters, and friends.

I feel blessed to have known AGDLynn for over a decade - her friendship, support and Panhellenic dedication was crucial as our local alum panhel group was started. She was my "go to" Alpha Gam for recs for many years and, no offense to my other AGD friends here in Georgia, but AGDLynn was truly a stellar Alpha Gam! We kept in touch thru FB and texts and emails; the last time we were together was - fittingly - at our alum panhel's annual Badge Day dinner in 2013. Her health prevented her from attending this year. I am just so sad she is gone :-( and I will miss her immensely.

maconmagnolia 03-16-2014 03:18 PM

RIP. :(

My thoughts and prayers are with her family and all those who were touched by her life and the legacy she leaves behind. May peace be found.

May light perpetual shine upon my Syracuse Triad sister, and may God grant her family comfort and peace.

NutBrnHair 03-16-2014 04:06 PM

She was a class act. I am very sad to hear this news. Prayers for Lynn and her family.

honeychile 03-16-2014 04:07 PM

Praying the peace which surpasses all understanding for Lynn and those who loved her.

As I heard this, Amazing Grace was being played on the bagpipes...

Thank you for sharing that. I didn't realize Lynn knew our Panhellenic sisters on GC in person too. Being so far away, I've been feeling kind of alone in my grief but hearing stories from some of you has helped.

33girl 03-16-2014 07:53 PM

Oh I have slipped the surly bonds of earth...

May Lynn rest easy, and prayers and peace to her family, friends and sisters.

StealthMode 03-16-2014 10:37 PM

Sending prayers to her friends, family, and the lovely ladies of Alpha Gamma Delta.

Rest in paradise, Lynn. I will have a sweet tea just for you. :)

This. Thank you @DoctorDee for keeping us in the loop. RIP Lynn!

GC has brought some amazing people in my life, through Facebook or other social media and eventually in person. Outside of my best friend being a former GCer, I've attended a wedding of another GCer, a few other's chapter events and otherwise learned a wealth of knowledge about life and myself through some of yall. <3

xibair 03-17-2014 09:13 AM

Rest in peace. My condolences.

AGDAlum 03-17-2014 10:53 AM

I met Lynn on GreekChat. We had dinner when I was in Atlanta for the 2002 American Library Assn. conference. "How will I recognize you?" "I'm the sister you've never met!" and then we joked about being "internet pickups."

She set a high standard for love and loyalty.

Shellfish 03-17-2014 10:59 AM

I'm so sorry to hear this. My sympathies to all her loved ones--it looks like there were many.
