My badge is on! I posted a selfie on my FB page, but I probably should take it down. I look a little cranky in my quill :)
I'm wearing mine!
I'm wearing my Full-Jeweled Beta badge today!
I really wish NPC would reach out to NPHC (and other councils?) and make it a combined sorority badge day. Unless NPHC members don't wear their badges in this manner, so correct me if that's the case, but it would cool to see the unity.

Wearing my full pearl that I saved from that one site. I can't for the life of me get it straight!
I wore by AGD badge to work this morning. We were sent home at 12:30pm due to possible inclement weather, so I'll spend the rest of the afternoon rocking it while I study.

My badge is on. I'm all dressed up at the DMV.

I can only speak for SGRho, but we have guidelines around what we wear our badge/official pin with, just like many of you all have badge attire. Lots of my Sorors are participating today under the hashtag #SGRhoProud (though I saw many NPC ladies using #badgeday14) |
Been to a few stores today; so far no women wearing their NPC badges but still half a day to go!
I'm wearing my alternating ruby and pearl O badge today - no snow day after all!
Wearing mine with Rose and White ribbon underneath and my new badge dangle!
If you are"going" to the FB "event" you probably have seen these but I thought I'd share. Wonderful photos from all groups

I wore the stars and crescent with badge ski attire today.
Wore my one and only badge today :)
I was planning on wearing a skirt today, but it decided to snow this weekend. So many beautiful badges on the FB event wall. |

From FB event - International Badge Day was established in 1997 by the National Panhellenic Conference to set aside a day for women -- in sororities in all different umbrella organizations -- throughout the world to wear their sorority badges or Greek letters in a celebration of sisterhood. From the NPC materials online, no password needed. From the FAQ Q: Who participates in International Badge Day? A: This is the fifth year that we’re celebrating diversity and our common sorority experience. In the spirit of global interfraternal relations, NPC invites the National Pan-Hellenic Council Inc., the National Multicultural Greek Council, the National Asian Pacific Islander American Panhellenic Association and the National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations Inc. to participate. |
We received organization-wide communication about participating this year, maybe 2 weeks ago? I'm not sure if that's our leadership being proactive in participating, or a conversation between councils, because I didn't see any other NPHC Sororities participating.
I will say, I liked being able to see different organizations post their badges on the FB group. Maybe more council participation will encourage a "lifetime commitment" culture that's often discussed being lacked amongst many alumna NPC members.

Grand Total Greek Letters Observed on Badge Day:
ONE BADGE (Kappa Kappa Gamma). I thanked the young woman for proudly wearing her key. Also observed one Alpha Phi and one Alpha Omicron Pi car sticker, and one Lambda Chi Alpha shirt. So if you're an NPC Greek and caught me glancing at the neck/chest area of your badge attire, and you were not wearing your NPC badge, hope to catch you wearing it SOON because I love seeing them in person! |
