C Murder was arrested again for shooting a 16 year old at a night club last Friday night...not again? He was arrested last night in the HOB, then booked for the shooting from last week.
It's so ironic because I was near the club right before it happened, and I didn't even know it until afterwards. He's gonna get locked up for a good while. ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh! |

Rapper arrested in shooting death NEW ORLEANS - Rapper C-Murder, the younger brother of music artist Master P, has been arrested in the shooting death of a 16-year-old at a nightclub, authorities said. Police accused Corey Miller, 30, of fatally shooting Steve Thomas following an argument Jan. 12 at the Platinum Club in Harvey, La. Miller has not yet been charged. Prosecutors will decide what charges he should face, police said. As many as 300 people were inside the club when Miller, who was out on bail on an attempted murder charge in Baton Rouge, pulled out a handgun and killed Thomas with a single gunshot, police said. There was no indication that Thomas had pulled out a weapon, and the reason for the argument was unknown, authorities said. Officials at the Jefferson Parish jail said Saturday that Miller did not yet have an attorney. Starting in the late 1990s, Miller was the core artist on No Limit Records. Roy Maughan Jr., an attorney for Master P's No Limit Records, said the record company might provide a statement later. |

Who does this sound like????
This goes in the "you just plain nasty category!" Nothing in this world is worse that someone getting a sexually transmitted disease after a one-night stand. Well apparently a young R&B singer, whose sophomore album drops this year, is giving out more STD’s than comp tickets to his concerts. This singer, whose vocal styling have drawn many comparisons to a veteran R&B singer from his neck of the woods, has apparently sent more women to the free clinic than the number of albums Sisqo sold with his sophomore release.

I am taking a guess at this.....could it be Jaheim? He's a young R&B singer (from New Jersey) who has often been compared to Teddy Pendergrass, who I think  is from Phila. (in re of :neck of the woods). I don't know if he has a 2nd album due out yet though since they just released the latest single (can't recall the name) but it's with Next. |
For the life of me I can't remember but I think it is the artist that everybody says reminds them of R. Kelly but I can't think of who it is...Can somebody help me out on this one puleeze!!!!!

If I recall correctly, singer Monica is engaged to C-Murder. Anyone know if they're still together? I have never understood the combination of those two. They appear to be so different. Perhaps she just likes "ruff neck" brothas.

Oh Lawd, things just don't ever change with Mike. Supposedly, the obscene gesture involved Mike and his "junk."
Tuesday January 22 2:01 PM ET Tyson Charges at Lewis at Conference By ED SCHUYLER JR., AP Boxing Writer NEW YORK (AP) - Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis finally went at it Tuesday - at a news conference, not in a ring. Tyson charged the WBC and IBF heavyweight champion right after the start of a conference called to announce their April 6 bout, and a brawl broke out on stage at the Hudson Theater. Neither fighter hit the other, but Tyson had a cut on his hairline after the swarm of bodies was pulled apart. WBC president Jose Sulaiman was knocked down during the melee. The news conference for Lewis' defense of his two belts against Tyson in the MGM Grand in Las Vegas was called off. Lewis scheduled a meeting with reporters later Tuesday. Tyson left the building. The scene recalled when Lewis and Hasim Rahman exchanged words and chest bumps before wrestling on the floor during a TV interview in August. That was 21/2 months before Lewis knocked out Rahman in a rematch to regain the heavyweight title. On Tuesday, after video highlights of the two fighters' careers were shown, Tyson was introduced first. He walked onstage dressed entirely in black, then faced the wing of the stage from which Lewis was to enter. When Lewis, dressed in a gray suit, stepped onto the stage, Tyson rushed him. People jumped in to keep them apart and it appeared at least one person was hit by a punch. Then, for several minutes, bodies were rolling around and throwing punches until order was restored. Tyson then strode to the front of the stage, threw his arms into the air in a triumphant stance and made an obscene gesture. Someone in the audience shouted, ``Put him in a straitjacket!'' The former undisputed heavyweight champion screamed an obscenity at the man and said, ``You're scared of a real man.'' |

The club owner has kept his mouth shut throughout this whole incident. We figure that this club will be shut down. Just like others around here that make money and don't dish out its share to the... You all have to understand the "dealings" down here between club owners and the Po-po. The guy/cop who does our security at my school had his detail at this same club up until about 2 weeks ago. There could be MORE to this story than what we "see". ;) |

I forgot to post this earlier, but Dr. Monica Turner Tyson, a pediatric resident physician, has filed for divorce from Mike. When I find that, I will post it. |
Mikey and Monica split
From the New York Post's Page Six column:
Saturday January 19 03:47 AM EST PUNCH AT IRON MIKE By TODD VENEZIA and BRIDGET HARRISON Mike Tyson's doctor wife says the ear-chomping champ can't keep his hands off other women - and now she wants a divorce. Monica Tyson is hoping to take a bite out of her hard-hitting hubby's wallet with a split suit filed Thursday in Rockville, Md., claiming that Iron Mike's wandering eye has ruined their marriage. "The defendant committed adultery during the marriage, and such adultery has neither been forgiven nor condoned by the plaintiff," the filing said. The divorce papers - which say that Monica will get the couple's two children - don't name any particular paramour that drove the second Mrs. Tyson to leave her husband. "The adultery charge was not specific, it did not apply to any named woman," Monica Tyson's attorney, Sanford K. Ain, told The Post yesterday. Last summer, Tyson got into hot water in the California resort town of Bear Lake when cops probed a rape allegation brought against him by a local woman. No charges were filed, but the claims by Arlene Moorman were a huge embarrassment for the ex-champ in the run-up to a scheduled comeback fight with Danish boxer Brian Nielsen. Ain said the adultery allegations do not refer to any incident with Moorman, but refused to be more specific. Tyson's lawyers could not be reached for comment. Mike Tyson, who divorced first wife Robin Givens in 1989, married Monica in Bethesda, Md., in 1997. He met her while serving three years in jail after his 1992 conviction for raping Desiree Washington, an 18-year-old Miss Black America contestant. Monica Tyson is now a second-year resident in pediatrics at Georgetown University Medical Center. Monica's lawyer told The Post his client is hoping the divorce proceeding will stay civilized, and that there will be a financial settlement in the next few weeks. The couple have already agreed that their two children - Rayna, 5, and Amir, 4 - will live with mom. "In regard to dividing up the family's finances," Ain said, "she wants a private settlement between the parties that will enable her and the children to live comfortably and for Mr. Tyson to live comfortably." |

Mariah Carey's label, EMI (Virgin Records), has bought out her contract and paid her $28 million to cancel her contract. There seems to be a little confusion as to who claims to have cancelled who. Mariah's publicists say that it was her doing; EMI says they are the ones that cancelled the contract.

DMX
This appeared on the NPHC listserv. It's from the Associated Press:
YONKERS -- A man was charged with felonious assault after he allegedly threw a pit bull dog at a police officer and then barricaded himself in his house. Acting Police Chief William McCafferty said a woman called police after she and her husband fought and he left the house. She asked that officers be there when her husband returned. McCafferty said Earl Simmons (DMX's real name), 31, confronted the officers when he came home and kicked in the door. His wife waited outside with police as Simmons threatened them with his two pit bulls. He said an officer was backing away from the house and slipped on some ice. Simmons then picked up one of the dogs and allegedly threw it at the officer. The dog came toward the officer, who fired at it, scaring it away. McCafferty said Simmons barricaded himself in the house and began to weep and pray out loud but emerged a half-hour later. No one was injured. Copyright 2002 by The Associated Press. The commission just says no to Lispin' Mike
The lateth on Mike Tyson.
Tuesday January 29 7:12 PM ET Nevada Board Denies Tyson License LAS VEGAS (Reuters) - Nevada State Athletic Commissioners on Tuesday denied troubled boxer Mike Tyson a license to fight world champion Lennox Lewis, barring the lucrative April bout from Las Vegas. The five-member panel voted 4 to 1 to deny a state license to the notorious heavyweight after considering his record of violence inside and outside the ring. The vote came after a last-minute attempt by Tyson to withdraw his application when it became clear that the commission was ready to reject it. The commission declined to let Tyson withdraw his bid for a license. The panel's action opened the way for a search for an alternate venue for the championship fight, which the World Boxing Council has said it would sanction outside Nevada. Tyson, 36, who sat through the hearing in a light gray suit and faced tough questioning from the panel, needed to convince at least three of the commissioners that he deserved a chance to fight again in the state despite his latest bout of wild behavior. |
I guess "Carmen" was just luck!
I read in US entertainment that a petition is being passed around to get Beyonce Knowles and Britney Spears booted from the next adventure of Austin Powers called "Goldmember". A gossip columnist told a local morning show here that Beyonce flubs her lines so much, people start making arangements for things to do because they know she will have to make many, many takes before she finally gets it right.

Sources say that the Washington, DC club scene is becoming one to watch. Insiders say that Mike "The Press Conference Killer" Tyson is looking to buy a club in the Chocolate City really soon. Apparently Mike has been looking at buildings and is very interested in getting into the club business. Sources also say that Baltimore Raven Ray Lewis and Washington Redskin Lavar Arrington are also looking to build a club. The two athletes are apparently looking to open a club in the Landover, MD area.
There is so much going on in the record industry that I thought I would clear a few things up. Everyone knows about Mariah Carey’s situation with Virgin Records. In the words of N’Sync, Mariah is "Gone," but at least she’s walking away with almost $49 million according to her representatives. Virgin has also dropped their R&B group Ideal. The quartet came on the scene in June of 2000 with their gold-certified self-titled album that featured songs like "Whatever" and "Get Gone." Apparently Virgin has told the guys to do like their song says and "get gone!" Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes protégés Blaque are seeking a new record deal. The group is no longer on Columbia Records despite having a platinum self-titled first album and a hit movie "Bring It On" under their belt. They have an album cut called "Release Me" and apparently Columbia decided to oblige. Reports that Kevon Edmonds signed with Arista Records is false. The singer had reported inked a deal with Arista after RCA s! hut down its black music division, but that is not so. Currently, Kevon does not have a deal, and sources say that his former group After 7 is considering getting back together. Def Jam has just signed 3rd Storee. The group was formerly signed to Tracy Edmond’s Yab Yum label and was distributed through Elektra Records. Look for new music from them this year. Kim Burrell said that rumors of her leaving Tommy Boy Gospel and going to Elektra are not true. Burrell said she is happy at Tommy Boy Gospel and does not know how the rumors of a move to Elektra began. While Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes is still signed to Arista Records, her alter ego N.I.N.A. is signed to Tha Row Records. When working on projects with TLC, the rapper will be known as "Left Eye," as a solo artist she will be known as N.I.N.A. Eclectic singer Kelis is dropping her next effort "Wanderland" on March 12. The album is already available as an import since the singer has a huge following in the U.K. |

More Brandy News
(Jan. 30, 2002)
Courtesy of the EUR: *Brandy seems like the picture of health when she's out and about. Who would've thought she was suffering from an eating disorder and a nervous breakdown not long ago. During an interview with Britain's BBC 1 Miss Norwood let the truth be known. "With the whole eating disorder thing, honestly, I wasn't taking care of myself and that's my fault. But I can talk about it freely because now I'm healthy." It seems that maybe Ms. Mariah paved the way for other artists to speak out about their health issues. This could only be a good thing. Hats off to you Ms. Brandy, and the we like the new look sans braids too. |
Daddy's future?
Bro: diesel could end up being a team owner. :p
Shaq intrigued by Magic's sale By Tim Povtak Sentinel Staff Writer January 30, 2002 Shaquille O'Neal never will return to the Orlando Magic as a player, but he will consider coming back. An ownership role could be part of his future. Still basketball's most dominating player --the biggest reason the Los Angeles Lakers are two-time defending NBA champions --O'Neal has had his interest in ownership piqued by the news that Rich DeVos is selling the franchise after 11 years. As a player, he is prohibited by NBA rules from also being part of any ownership group. But when his 10-year, $209.5 million contract ends after the 2005-2006 season -- and he likely retires -- don't be surprised to see him emerge again with the Magic, depending upon who the next owner is. "No comment. You know I can't comment on that [ownership] stuff now,'' he said Tuesday before the Lakers played the Hawks in Atlanta. "But I'd be really upset if the league lets that team move -- really upset.'' O'Neal, 29, started his NBA career with the Magic in 1992, but he left for Los Angeles as a free agent in 1996, believing he needed the big-city exposure to maximize his marketing opportunities. He has said many times that he will return to Orlando full time when he retires. He continues to spend his summers in Central Florida, in the home he built when he played here. He even returned for a couple of days this month when he was serving his three-game suspension for fighting -- cruising around town on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. "No, that wasn't me. That must have been someone else,'' he joked. The idea of playing for the Magic again intrigues him, but his contract with the Lakers makes it almost impossible. "Hopefully, the new owners there will get a new arena in Central Florida, something like they have here [in Atlanta],'' he said. "They should be able to work out some kind of deal with the city. At least I hope so. It's too bad; the NBA is losing one of its best owners. I've always had the highest regard for Mr. DeVos." Copyright © 2002, Orlando Sentinel |
