Wow that is really unbalanced, why is that? The fraternities must be dying for more exchanges, there aren't enough sororities to go around. Cal Poly SLO was neck and neck with UCSD when I was making my decision....I really like it up there, is it a thriving Greek system or do the fraternities just have really small numbers? BTW, thank you for the compliment I would love to see them open up a DDD chapter, it's a great school, maybe in the future......

It will never happen but I'd like to see our chapter re-colonize at USNA but the government would probably never allow it. LOL :D
|
I would like to see our sorority expand to the West coast. That would be really nice. Actually, some more chapters in my state would be nice as well.

Campuses that DON'T have your GLO
I don't think that this has been discussed. But I could be wrong since I'm somewhat new to the board. (I more listen than post/respond to topics)
Of all the campuses that your GLO ISN'T in, which school would you most like to be in? Be sure you say what GLO you're in. I have no idea if my sorority has expanded much since I've been away from school but I'll investigate and post my response soon. Thanks! |

Id love to see all of our old Cali chapters come back:
Hilgard @ UC Santa Barbara USC CSU Northridge Chico St Plus Long Beach Stanford UCSC Humboldt I'd really like to see Delta Sig get bigger at schools with huge greek systems. It seems we're only the big dogs on campuses with small greek lives and small student bodies (3000-10000) |

I would like to ASA recolonize at my school so that I could be a part of an active chapter again... but I doubt that will happen given the situtation... but when they do recolonize in the future I will be here to help!!!
|
For entirely selfish reasons I'd like to see one at Oklahoma City University. They're about 20 minutes from our chapter which I think would be pretty cool..
|
Pi Phi:
We need more chapters in the Carolinas and in Georgia! East Carolina, Appalachain State, UNCC, NCSU (so all of my friends from high school can be founding members!) and Davidson! South Carolina and Clemson recolonizations ANYwhere in Georgia! We could use more Northeastern chapters, too. AND I like carnation's idea for Hawaii. :D |
I'd love to see our EX chapter back at Marquette so I could stay active next year! :) I'd also like to see us at Ivies, esp. Princeton - a close friend goes there and seems to think sorority life there isn't for her, but she loves to hear about my chapter!
|
I would love to see the Pi Chapter of Beta Theta Pi back. We are dominant in the Big 10 and Pi is Indiana's oldest fraternity. They were huge and strong and will be back witth a vengeance next fall !
|
I would love to see more Theta chapters in Missouri -- reopen the chapter at Washington in St. Louis, maybe colonize at SLU -- and I'd really like to bully Webster U. into opening up a greek system, as far as I know they only have professional societies/groups (like SAI).
I think Sigma chapter at U. of Toronto and any other closed Canadian chapters should be recolonized (because I love Canada!)... hmm, what else? Chapters at George Washington, North Carolina, Arkansas, and Tennessee -- oh and throw Darthmouth back in so we can fill out the Ivy League! Really I just want every closed chapter reopened and some new ones in the St. Louis area opened so I be an advisor extraordinaire without having to drive three hours out of town! :p Oh, and I'm all for chapters in Hawaii (lucky AGD!) and the Bahamas. :) And how about Guam? :D Greekgrrl |

We need more Texas & Big 12 chapters. I especially want DZ to recolonize @ UTexas & maybe SMU someday. RIght now I'm in LUbbock, so I'd love to see us at Tech, but I'll probably be moving soon, so I don't have so much energy about that anymore.
As it stands, if I want my daughter to be DZ and go to a big/mid size TX school, she'll be going to A&M or SWT. (A&M will be a tough sell to my longhorn family, so in the next 15 years, we need to make a comeback at UT). |

Big 10 = Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue, Wisconsin. Big 12 = Baylor, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, A&M, Texas Tech, UTexas, Colorado, Nebraska, Missouri, Iowa State At least I think that's right. DZ is pretty well covered in Big 10...our only Big 12 chapter is at A&M. :( |
I'd like DG to be present at every Big 12 school! Right now we don't have chapters at Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Iowa State and Baylor.
Also, more chapters in Georgia, the Carolinas and the deep South! Glad we re-colonized at Auburn, hopefully we can continue to pave our way through the south :) |
i would like to see a Phi Sig chapter on every campus in the nation. . .
mostly, at these schools though UT-Austin UT-Arlington Harvard Cornell Brown Michigan State(we're everywhere in Michigan. . .why not?) Marquette(we even have a chapter in Marquette, MI but not at the school. . .what's up with that) New York State Sanford Stanford U Penn Maryland Boston U Boston College GA Tech North Carolina William and Mary (haha) and wherever Prince Will or WOW is going to college in Britain i would love to be chums with him. . .even though Harry is cuter |

Number one Conference in the Country is the Big XII!
It covers Co. Ks. Ok. Iw. Tx. Neb. Regardless, there are many fine Chapters at these schools, and while I went to a smaller school, it is surprising that some Nationals are not represented at the Major Schools! I for one am saddened that there are not more Soroitys at my Alma mater. (3) only. Greeks have been in a decline, because it seems tht we are not PROUD of OURSELVES on our campuses! Promote and dont do stupid troublesome things! Show why you are special!! |
I wish we had more at the Ivies. I know we are one of the few at Princeton, which is awesome, and we also have them at Dartmouth, Cornell, and Penn. Still, that leaves Brown, Yale, Harvard and Columbia. I think we should have more East coast chapters in general. And I'd love to have more chapters in Wisconsin and Minnesota -- Marquette would be perfect. We only have the UW-Madison chapter in Wisconsin and the U of M chapter in Minnesota, and we've only ever had two chapters in each state. I'd also love to see us back at DePauw, Michigan State, Washington-St. Louis, and Oregon.
Other than that, we are pretty evenly spread out . . . except in Canada! We only have two Canadian chapters, and I'd love to have more. |

man, i don't know much about my sorority's chapters. . . i know that we're hugely popular in new york, california, and michigan but after that, we're widespread |
Where is Phi Sig in CA? I can only think of a couple of campuses where we are that have Phi Sig chapters.
|
According to their website, Phi Sigma Sigma has California chapters at:
San Francisco State University Chapman University CSU - Bakersfield CSU - Dominguez Hills CSU-Sacramento CSU-Stanislaus University of LaVerne Woodbury University |

According to this article: http://www.thecrimson.harvard.edu/ar...spx?ref=269508 Kappa, Tri Delta and Alpha Phi all visited in March or will visit this month and then Panhel will make its selection after that, so unless something's changed since the printing of this article, they probably haven't decided yet. |
You are right that technically it wasn't Harvard that invited them, but that wasn't the point. The article you linked to was published on February 3, 2003. Like I said previously, it is my understanding that the Harvard students voting chose to invite Kappa Kappa Gamma to colonize. It may not have been printed in the Crimson yet.
