I initiated my two daughters within the past seven year span. And, their two KKG grandmothers were also present! What a special and emotional moment for all of us! KKG initiation requires alumnae involvement in some aspects of the ritual, but my daughters had no idea they would see me at initiation. Their facial expressions were priceless.
I have participated in a handful of other initiations but always have been there 'for' someone which makes it really special, I think. |

My own, March 22nd last year! And I'm so excited to initiate my little on the 21st! I'm struggling to believe how fast time flies.

I'm ashamed to admit that the last initiation I attended was back when I was a collegiate.
I was invited to the recolonization of our chapter at UConn a few years back. But Connecticut is a big rectangle, and UConn (Storrs) is in the upper right corner, and I live in the lower left corner, so I didn't go. :o |
The last initiation I've been to? Hmmm.... I think it's about to be a year now since my last initiation.

I arranged with the ASU chapter to be involved with my youngest sister's initiation. She was completely shocked. I thought one of us was going to faint... I just wasn't sure which one it would be! The experience is one of my most cherished memories, one that will always be with me.
