I did that with Duke in January. It was quite interesting going over the unanimous agreement and then having them fill out their bid cards.

I wrote down names of the PNM's that put ADPi as their #1 choice to find out if we actually bid them later, we did.

I'm kind of jealous (as UA has my chapter of initiation).

had lunch with AOIIAngel & AZ-Alpha Xi on Saturday, and now that Arizona's recruitment is finished (bid day was yesterday), am wondering if the OP will come back and share her story.

Talk on the street: I'm told that quota was 70. EDIT: talk was wrong, quota was 81. I know everyone made quota plus. There were two chapters that were especially popular with the PNMs this year, and they weren't the "expected" or "top" chapters! :D I find that VERY encouraging; things are changing up! This year was the first year in a long time that it didn't rain on Preference Day. I believe something like 900+ women accepted bids (1200 started and I know there were extensive releases for grades after Open House rounds the first two days).

I hope she comes back and that the active that wrote on the board didn't scare her away!

I had a great time helping the women at U of A Enter their preferences into ICS. UofA does a fabulous job explaining the MRABA to the PNMs. Most of the women I spoke with were very open minded and ready to take any chapter that gave them a bid. Only a handful SIP'd. I had one girl withdraw with two good options. She was being pressured to go through by family.

The dresses were shockingly casual to me coming from the South. I saw more than one fluorescent pink dress. It's the campus, though, and they all looked cute. I told one girl that she was dressed perfectly for her first choice, Kappa, since she was wearing blue. She said, "Really, why?" When I said her dress was blue, she laughed and said, "Yeah, you'd think I'd know that by now!" I also had a PNM preffing ChiO wearing red with a horseshoe charm necklace? She seemed surprised when I mentioned the combination was significant to ChiO. I don't think many PNMs think these things through, but maybe it doesn't matter.

We had someone from Nationals checking out the campus on the first day of recruitment. She said it was the friendliest campus visit and felt very welcomed. I'm so glad all the gals in the West treated her kindly and with open arms. I'm sure it just confirms their decision to go in and colonize in the Fall of 2013!

I'm glad. UofA desperately needs more groups on campus, and a successful recolonization for AXO is so important!

Quota went down this year. Last year my chapter took like 97 (some retardedly high number), the year before was like in the 80's. Not that 70 isn't huge as well, but new member classes that equal almost the actives is craziness. The campus DEFINITELY needs expansion.

When is AXO coming back? Has the campus opened up for expansion beyond them? I know it's tough since chapters have to be housed and all.

AXO will be recolonizing in 2013. There are no plans beyond that.
