Lions lost today. It's probably downhill from here...lol.

Yea, exactly! Go Pats! :D

And for the first time, his fantasy points have increased from one week to the next. I was seriously considering trading him, but I think I'll see what he can do next week.

I have a question...

During all these games, when they show each of the players saying their names and their alma maters, many of them say, "The U" ...

To which college/university are they referring?

They are referring to the University of Miami, in Miami, FL. Not to be confused with Miami University in Ohio.

Dallas beats Washington again. It's not a rivalry, it's a ritual!!!!!

Damn skippy!

AOEforme 12-04-2011 09:11 PM

OMG. That was not pretty. However, Rodgers proved again why he is pretty fabulous. He does much better under pressure than He Who Must Not Be Named ever did.

I wish he would have just owned up to it. It was a tense game and he could have easily just said "The Packers were being jerks and they were all up in my face. I lost my temper and I am sorry." It would have been a lot better than "I was trying to get up and slipped".

Oh, I know, tell be about it. I think he's like suspended for two games or something. One of his college football teammates who now plays for the Packers said that he would lose his temper when they were playing college football, too. He's just a big jerk.

ANYONE BUT THE PATRIOTS!

Wondering where cheerfulgreek is.. how about them Lions? :) Beating the Vikings TWICE in one season!

groovypq 12-11-2011 08:51 PM

Getting nervous about this game. Dallas and the Giants have both been like Jekyll and Hyde this season. If last week's teams show up, Giants win this going away. :-p

pomplemousse12 12-11-2011 10:35 PM

Did anyone watch the Steelers game on Thursday? My senior sem was due that day and after I finished that, I checked out and slept through the game. I heard Harrison did a helmet-to-helmet hit on McCoy and might be suspended now, but it's hard to find video.

AGDLynn 12-11-2011 10:58 PM

Heading to an AGD Christmas party, listening to the Falcons-Panthers game - Falcons down at half time 23-7:eek::. BUMMER!

Later finally checked by phone, with 42 seconds to play FALCONS 31 Panthers 23!!!!!

YESSSSSSS!!!!:eek::D:D:D

southbymidwest 12-11-2011 11:14 PM

Broncos pull it out in overtime over the Bears-thanks to boneheaded moves by Chicago players and coaches and some Tebow and Co. passing and catching. Oh, and THREE field goals in the game were over 50 yards- like 51, 58 and 59 yards, something like that. Crazy.

Oh yeah, he led with the helmet. Hit McCoy right in the chin. If he's suspended, it's deserved.

Dat's what pissed me off about the Giants. When we face good teams, we play awesome. When we face mediocre or bad team, we play down to their level. If it wasn't for Eli, we might just be a lot worst off.

However, in honor of the win:

Love the Giants, esp when they play down to their competition.

I'd be more confident about us getting into the playoff if we were playing our last games on the road against the elite teams.

I haven't been over to this thread for quite some time, because my Vikings are doing awful this season. I'm surprised they're bringing their new coach back next season. At least they were smart enough to release McNabb, though. He sucked.

Why wouldn't they bring their new coach back? a new coach means a new coaching system implementation, new coaching staff/philospophy and then at least 2-3 NFL drafts to bring in his players.

They had a poor season for several reasons, but I don't think it's as simple as saying they need a new coach...for the new coach they just brought in.

Besides, if they lived with the Brett Favre will he/won't he circus for 2-3 years, I'd think the new coach could get more than a year to show what he could do.

lol @ Brett Favre "will he/won't he".
You leave my Brett alone.:mad::p

Honestly, I don't think my Vikings would have gotten as far as they did without Favre. Plus, Frazier's decision making is awful. I mean, why bring him back with a season this bad?

moe.ron 01-01-2012 11:09 PM

The Giants defense actually showed up for this game!!!!

At home watching the game. I hate the Saints with a passion. I never got over what they did to my Vikings and Brett Favre, so I'm hoping the Lions kick butt and take names, tonight.

I'm hoping they kick butt tonight too, but I'm not holding my breath. Just being in the playoffs is pretty amazing for us :)

Oh I know, tell me about it. No matter what happens, no one can say that Detroit had a bad season. Even though they beat my Vikings, I'm still happy for them.:)

AOII Angel 01-07-2012 09:44 PM

The Saints didn't do anything to the Vikings. The Vikings lost fair and square. BTW, Dee...I'm lovin the Lions this year! They have come so far. I loved the Vikings, too, when we played them. I've always been a Favre fan, but can't root for anyone over the Saints. I love some Megatron and "A Boy named Suh" though.

AGDee 01-08-2012 12:16 AM

To the boys in Honolulu Blue: Thanks for the great season and for giving us a reason to get excited about you again. Have to remember: 2008: 0-16, 2009:2-14, 2010: 6-10, 2011:10-6 and our first playoff game in 12 years. It was more than we hoped for. Can't wait to see what next season will bring, maybe 14-2??? :)

You never know. The Saints improved quickly once they got the right coach and combination of players. Looks like the same thing is happening for Detroit. I love it. It's nice too see the underdogs get a chance to play.

Well the Bears crumbled quite nicely.

At least I still have a temporary team to root for while fiance is living in New Orleans. Let's Go Saints! I'll be there next weekend, so I'm excited to see all the hype!

PTL - PRAISE TEBLOW LORD!!!

I skimmed this thread and I have yet to see anything about Denver's beloved evangelical Tim Tebow.

You have seen the SNL skit.
All I can say is that Jesus LOVED the Denver Bronco's tonight.
If is Jesus didn't love the Bronco's then why are sunsets BLUE and ORANGE?

While several other NFL players are involved with drugs, guns, wife beating, mistresses, rapes and you-name it, Tim Tebow is squeaky clean!
I am not a religious person but it is a nice change of pace.

The Steelers are packin' up to go home.
Denver and Tebow is packing to Boston for the Patriots.
Honestly, I am not sure if we can do this. But, it's worth a try.
Forget the FORCE, may the TEBOW be with you!
