BID DAYYYYY!!! I can't sleep at all.

First, an update on "trash talk" girl from my dorm. She has stayed in, but apparently now she is trashing the sororities that didn't invite her back? I have no clue who (or if) she preffed.

My roommate has been a mess. She preffed the Crimson Tide and Blue devils. She was going to suicide bid but I think changed her mind when I told her I preffed them too and liked them ok.

My suitemate (and best friend if you haven't figured that out) had had the perfect recruitment experience. She may be one of the only people I know who actually loved this process. I am STILL jealous, but she is a really amazing person and deserves it.

She preffed her favorite three!! She had a much harder time I think than I did ordering them. She finally did this: GATORS, GAMECOCKS, BULLDOGS.

I preffed three also. I love the first two, but it was easy to put them in order. I admit, even though I will take some crap for admitting this, I will be disappointed with the third one. They were my top three picks after Skits. GAMECOCKS, FALCONS, BLUE DEVILS.

I think we will all get a bid since we were not cut before prefs and didn't suicide bid.

Not too happy about the weather today. BLAHHHHHH!!!

Let us know as soon as you can what happens! I woke up this morning and had to sign in just so I could see what's going on with you. My fingers are crossed for you. :)

You're allowed to be a little disappointed, just don't let it ruin your day or your sorority experience. Good luck!

Heard that freshman quota was 38 with upperclass quota 8.

Hope smokey15 is having fun with her new sisters right now!!!

I haven't heard a thing from my two and how each of their houses did. I know they are both exhausted from their recruitment duties.

They did send a photo of PH building with the banners hanging, so I know they're finished.

I hope their houses did well and can't wait to hear Smokey's report!

By the way, does anyone know quota for sure? I forgot to ask. I did a quick count in one of the pics and I think it was 48 or 49. Someone said they were taking a lot of upper classmen this year. Is that true? I think it is normally around 4.

Oh my gosh! I was going to post this myself and lost my entire novella! grrrr. Back to forwarding to my friend to post for me.

This is a quick re-cap of the ramble.

Trash talk girl did get a bid, but I decided not to name the sorority and give them a black eye after my description of their new girl. It's a good chapter and they surely didn't catch on to her embarrassing rants all week.

My roommate went KD and is major happy; she has tons of friends there.

Another note, a girl in my dorm got a bid and didn't take it. She apparently left crying. I didn't get this at all, it is an amazing group, actually 2nd on my bid card. Sadly, her roomate (my friend) is pledging there and now she is listening to the girl cry every day to her mom on the phone. Think they will have a fun year living together? I have no idea who she thought she belonged with but she is a serious brat and I think she will

Finally, I just had some comments about UT sororities in general. There is not a bad group here! Having gone through this and spending time with each I have to admit that there ARE stereotypes. This is not a bad thing to me at all, and it does not mean that different girls can't fit into different chapters! Some that I heard were "top" I personally didn't love as much as some that I heard were "middle tier". I don't think any are better or worse, just different. There are a few that are not so different and are actually very similar.

Thank you everyone for giving me a place to vent! It was hard not being able to talk much to my friends about this all week. I had not idea it was so stressful!
